This is Jimins anthem for sure. He said the only one who can set himself free is him and I believe he has just done that with this song. I had no doubt he had this in him but I still wasn't expecting this. His duality has always showed as part of BTS but now he has arrived as a bonifide solo artist one of the best not just in kpop but all of the music industry. Im so proud of him and how hard he has worked, he never once gave up no matter how hard it got for him and now he has set himself free and the possibilities are endless for him. Again so proud of him.

I know ppl say it’s a new side of Jimin but really I see it as being very much the Jimin we know….the way he dances elegantly but powerfully, the deep meaning of the song relating to his own thoughts and struggles…he has been pretty open about these struggles. His vocals are amazing and you can tell he has worked diligently bring out different textures to his incredible range. The autotune was new for sure and took me a minute but its being used an artistic tool as it should be and really adds to the depth of the song and what he is expressing. Jimin is one of a kind. I am beyond proud of him. And sidenote: I really appreciate Blaze’s ability to look deeply into this song (and others) even with only seeing/hearing it once. You were spot on. All 3 of you compliment each other well. 💜

The song, Jimin’s vocals, his dancing, the amazing choreography, also the amazing backup dancers, the lyrics he wrote, the music he composed as well as being involved in the production! Jimin was hands on, involved with every facet! No wonder the in-house legendary producer for BigHit Pdogg, who worked with Jimin throughout the whole album, stated that “in 2023 K-pop will be ended by Park Jimin”! Seeing this makes me that much more excited, waiting in anticipation for release of the full album, Jimin’s “FACE” on March 24, along with his other, main song ‘Like Crazy’ MV. Though Jimin’s song ‘Set Me Free Pt.2’, blew me away , meeting all my expectations & then some, I was also not totally surprised, because indeed Jimin is now ‘set free’ from the confines of being part of a group, to now be able to open up full throttle and ‘finally’ be able to release all that he held back for so many yrs! Jimin has been involved in every facet of creating this album! Hands on all the way, perfectionist that he is, including writing lyrics, composing, as well as being heavily involved in production! Jimin’s true, real, inner self will be finally seen in all its raw, authentic, amazing, heartfelt, passionate, emotional, sincere glory! This is aside from Jimin’s full range, hardly ever being shown, aside from high notes, but being finally able to show his full registry, mid range as well as lower registry as well! I’ve always been so frustrated not being able to see as well as hear Jimin’s full capacity of talent. So often not being fully taken advantage of, but that comes with being part of a group, that has every single member having so much talent that it’s been so limiting for Jimin, especially him being so selfless, making a point of having others shine before himself. BRILLIANT!!!!!! I think we all knew, sooner or later, all members thru their solo tracks would start showing, We Are Not Little Kids, Anymore"! Watching this, I truly feel that Jimin's many years of having JHope as he roommate and confidant gave him inspiration to release all of the pent up energies he had been restraining. We watched him stand by JHope and be enthralled with Jack in the Box He traveled to Lollapalooza to be his support for his "Out of the Box" performance. Even though Jungkook has been the manager, he for so long has been given the image of "the little "Cutie Guy"! Even his latest pictorials have been darker, stronger and more mature! It makes you wonder, how long he's held this pent up "rebellious" energy inside. I'm hoping that the rest of ARMY will be ready to embrace this "grown" Jimin with open arms!!!! My favorite line is “ GO INSANE TO STAY SANE”. Means to be truly passionate about something in a world full of rejection, pitfalls and naysayers. Jimin’s history with BTS has been filled with haters , death treats, insecurities and self doubt. He is now letting all that go and be free of all of that nonsense. This ties in so much to other verses in the song….mock, fugg the opposition, will make the music he likes moving forward as a soloist. I think his song and dance routine is epic. So proud of Jimin.
