  • “Somehow, Palpatine returned” deserved at LEAST 10,000 sins.

    • @technokokos George Lucas stated he was dead and disney couldnt accept that

    • Or more accurately, the absence of any explanation (that old line from Revenge of the Sith isn't really an explanation) of how he returned deserved 10,000 sins. At least Legends had a fairly good explanation for the return of Palpatine

    • @Winnie Clyde Yeah I know, that doesn't make any sense.

    • @Erik Elert it exploded right over the forest moon and traveled to another moon

    • @Winnie Clyde Because this Water Planet is also a moon from Endor.

  • I remember seeing this in theaters when it came out. The reaction to Rey calling herself "Skywalker" was so negative. People literally were booing and throwing popcorn at the screen it was fantastic

    • @MSgt this aged well after book of boba fett

    • @Aaron Roberts nah man it's trash, easily the worst in the series, I only got ironic enjoyment from it.

    • @Josh Smit it's alright tbh

    • Nice

    • @MSgt Actually, the prequel trilogy makes a lot of sense for the development of the Skywalker saga. And it has a lot of aspects that go way beyond the poor CGI of the time. But the sequel trilogy - and especially this last film - ruined everything.

  • I'm surprised 100 sins weren't added when the emperor revealed a hidden fleet of completely staffed ships. Ships that somehow all had same destructive capability that the Deathstar had.

    • At this point I think he had already given up lol

    • and were built out of the ores on the planet? What ores?

    • And somehow all those ships were manned and those people were fed, clothed, given medical, room and board. Where is Sideous getting the money for this shit?

    • The Dark Side is a pathway to many abilities, some considered to be...ill justified plot conveniences.

    • And yet their holograms are still terrible.

  • One thing that I really want to know, why does c-3po’s programming forbid him from translating the sith language, when was that included in his program, anakin built him out of scraps from the ground up on a desert planet, and if anakin didn’t put that program in him then who did, when, why?

    • What I want to know, is why if C-3PO was banned from reading sith language, then why does he even have that language programmed into him? Even if C-3PO was reprogrammed, the Star Wars universe must have really shitty programmers.

    • I don't know, but seems pretty stupid to program a language into a droid and forbid it from using that knowledge when it makes more sense to just not program that language in in the first place. Star wars is so dumb, I get why it became popular with the original trilogy, but it really should have died after the prequels and this latest crap is just hilarious to me.

    • What I want to know is how C3PO is still even fucking alive

    • It’s not unbelievable that Anakin would’ve used publicly distributed firmware. What gets me is the implication the Jedi pulled cultural genocide on the Sith.

  • Palplatines greatest weapon: lightning Yodas greatest weapon: the force Anakins greatest weapon: lightsaber Reys greatest weapon: PLOT ARMOR

    • Seriously this shit rivals Naruto plot armor lol

    • I mean it wasn’t the literal plot armor that the guy had in mortal combat at least

    • Mcu is the definition of plot armor. Lol otherwise they'd be dead easily lol

    • My power: angst and anxiety attacks

    • with a extra save from the shield of shitty writing

  • For everyone that is surprised that CinemaSins actually liked the ending, thats because the movie was finally over lol.

    • What would’ve been a better ending if Rey stayed dead and Kylo become a Jedi again,

    • @NorthernLaw “some good stuff coming” 2 years later : Kenobi series

    • That's a relief

    • 1717

    • You know what really sucks? The fact that over 50% of star wars sucks and so technically its a bad franchise, this rlly makes me sad

  • friendly reminder that luke skywalker took a full 3 movies before becoming a jedi master, 3 whole movies for anakin to become a knight, but for rey? one training montage and shes the strongest jedi according to canon

    • Or how qui-gon, obi-wan, luke and yoda spend their whole lives as jedi, nurturing their connection to the force through training and meditation to become force ghosts, while f*cking kylo and leia just have it sort of 'happen'

  • I love how literally EVERY single thing Disney has done with Star Wars after these movies was before these movies. Like even they acknowledge that no one likes them and there's no point in going past this 😂

    • @Shivash Ishwar Nah, just erase, uncanon that shit and actually build on the extended universe that is after VI or before I, instead of making up sequels to a closed up chapter. The whole idea of the main episodes is to build a world to play with, you don't need to touch that storyline anymore. This is why SW:TOR\kotor and comics are smashing - because the universe is set, and what disney does ? - alternates its core concepts instead of using them, for no freaking reason.

    • Maybe they're going to do something like the prequels, to build up to this time period. Like, Mandolorian and Boba Fett take place between Episode 6 and 7 so there's a chance we might get actual explanation

    • I would have loved to see a continuation of the star wars franchise but not this, like maybe having some sort of reawakening in the force after a couple decades of both sith and jedi being gone (like people who are strong in the force start appearing) its probably a crap idea but I just want something original in the star wars universe

  • I love how Poe just look so unmotivated when he has to say "Somehow Palpatine returned" like, "Why did they make me do this?"

    • Somebody give this poor man a hug

    • If he refuses to go along with it he’s breaking his contract and never acts again.

    • @CoolRayquazaGaming *sigh* we're lost

    • @Zerodragon064 yes, of course lmao. That and contracts exist

    • @CoolRayquazaGaming Then why'd they go along with it? Money?

  • The reason why the trilogy failed is simple: Failing to plan is planning to fail.

    • Yep. 2 different directors between 3 movies when there wasn’t a full story for the entire trilogy before they started is the dumbest strategy that’s ever strategies.

    • That's a clever saying

    • 🤭

  • “This dagger... has done terrible things...” *Is currently wielding a lightsaber that has been used to slaughter children*

    • Ah yes, the *Youngling Slayer 9000*

    • The youngling slayer 9000

    • @alek tipsword really though

    • @Planet of the Atheists “This is the weapon of a Jedi Knight…not a Jedi Master, though.”

    • She literally doesn't even know how to turn it on, or JJ doesn't. Rey and Finn both press the wrong button to turn on the saber.

  • I remember reading the leaked script before the movie came out thinking it was so shit that it couldn’t possibly be real, boy was I wrong 🙄

    • Like Game of thrones.

    • @Henry Tilley That person was John Boyega

    • Me thinks The person that leaked it was trying to save us the trouble and bury this movie in shame and no money.

  • "This movie is pretty average. The ending is fucking great." You spelled fucking awful wrong.

    • I think it's because it's finally over. Nobody likes the Rey Skywalker scene.

    • He said that cuz it was finally over

  • Awesome commentary, I was laughing really hard at it. There are lots of sins in this one, but I'd go a lot higher than you did. I'd give 100,000 sins for that kiss at the end. BLECH.

  • I think this is the one CinemaSins review I've actually watched where not only did I agree wholeheartedly with every single sin, but I actually *wished* he would tear this movie apart a million times worse

  • So Anakin went all Revenge of the Sith over losing Padme, but Kylo Ren can just bring Rey back to life? That deserves at least 1000 sins.

    • @Bullrun27 How many rare powers are they gonna give the main character to advance the plot?

    • @Zerodragon064 which comment i got thousands of them

    • @C Rusk so is doing nothing interesting as well

    • I make a comment to a video making fun of a bad movie and look at all these people. Replies are such an interesting read.

    • @Bullrun27 how?

  • What I always considered strange was that Palpatine DID return in Legends. As a _young,_ and _extremely_ powerful version of himself that was only beaten because his own officers betrayed him. Granted... that's because he was going insane with each clone...Clone... It's like Abrams had the same idea without ever having read any of the Legends material, and didn't have any plan for it due to that. He did it for shock value instead of because it was a Legends fan service. Otherwise he had an entire trove of existing info to make the idea make sense.

    • Honestly I don't mind Palpatine returning, but they had to set it up right for it to work but they fucked it up. They could've had him like voldemort.

  • While I do agree with most of what you said, it makes sense they’d only make two way finders. The Sith rule of two y’know

    • @Evan Lumbers Don't ask questions

    • But if they’re used for finding the master of said rule of two, wouldn’t you need one for just the apprentice? Why have 2 if it’s literally directing the apprentice to the master?

  • When Kylo said the Rey was a Palpatine, the movie sin counter was on 66… Ironic

  • "...Palpatine returned..." I think that is my problem with a good chunk of this. He didn't say Palpatine is alive somehow, or Palpatine survived, they said he "returned" It is just kinda weird and awkward.

  • “Nobody can imagine emperor palpatine making a baby” Palpatine: the dark side is a pathway to abilities some people would consider unnatural

    • In some old legends content, Palpatine was described to have a few concubines. Considering he was a dictator, makes sense.

    • he passed thru the womb and artificial insemination

    • I bet he was fucking PACKING

    • Maybe, one of the dark side's unnatural abilities, allowed Palpatine to give birth to his own children 🤔 😆.

    • Well that must mean Palpatine's real name must be "Biggus Dickus" and his secret finishing move is the helicopter.

  • 20:35 You know, they could have solved this by simply having Anakin's force ghost temporarily merging with Rey, and having a force lightning matchup, yet their lightning is green because it's force judgement/emerald lightning or whatever you want to call it. This would keep Anakin as the chosen one and Rey as a semi respectable jedi with good power, even if the rest of the movie/movies were god awful but no, it's all Disney so it's all going to be a steaming pile of shit.

  • The fact that “light speed skipping” wasn’t sinned as “Light speed SKIP!” Seems like a missed opportunity

  • Hand on heart, about 2 years ago my (at the time) 8 year old nephew was ¾ of the way through this "film" and turned around to his mom and me and said "I don't like this starwars one it dosent make any sense!!" And I had to agree with the little sod. What a god awful pile of shite

  • I rolled my eyes so many times watching this movie it looked like I was in a constant seizure.

  • This is a typical example of people who don’t understand this intricate and well written plot. It’s very simple if you have the intelligence to comprehend it, fortunately I do and I will explain it. You see, the dark side of the force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural.

  • I remember going to see this movie with my cousins, and we all walked out making fun of it lol

  • Force healing deserved at minimum 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, infinite ♾ sins cause that IS LITERALLY THE EXACT REASON ANAKIN TURED TO THE DARK SIDE

    • anakin would've died like ben did if he healed padme

  • Chewbacca deserves his own goddamn movie 💯💪🏻

  • I love how 2 Skywalkers die in this movie yet it's still called "The Rise of Skywalker"

    • I think it’s powerful that Rey rejected Palpatine, the name of a galactic tyrant and butcher of children and embraced Skywalker, the name of a galactic tyrant and butcher of children.

    • @the senate agreed!

    • It should be called the rise of papatine

    • @Jake WeberZwier more fitting name since that was the actaul plot.

    • More like "Extinction of Skywalker"

  • 2:57 in other places like the clone wars tv shows and possibly legends, it’s mentioned that there are specific hyperspace routes you can use hyperspace on, and as far as I know, the routes don’t let you jump directly from planet or space mass to other planet or space mass, there are predetermined channels with specific entry and exit points you can enter hyperspace in. Two examples of this are a) in the clone wars tv show where a secret hyperspace route was part of a plot line for a 3 or 4 episode arc, and b) where darth Vader’s ship stops the rebel ships from leaving scarif in rogue one because the entry and exit point is the same on hyperspace lanes. Therefore, the rebel ships trying to leave had to move to the same point where Vader’s ship entered and blocked them off. Basically, hyperspace is more specific and limited than the stupid lightspeed skipping scene makes it seem

  • I love how we've already got our first sin in the first four seconds of the movie.

  • Something that nobody really has talked about is HOW Ben actually got to Exogol after he was left on Endor's Ocean Moon. It seems that he found a Tie Fighter in the Death Star wreckage, and flew it there. Problem is that Tie Fighters *don't* have hyperdrives or life support systems. Even if he did find a functional Tie Pilot helmet and life pack in the wreckage, there is still no way he can get to Exogol. The novel does actually touch on this and says that it was a Tie Scout variation, which does have a hyperdrive.... But it still has no life support systems. The holes in this movie are so large that even post production material struggles to find, modify, or outright create stuff to rationalize the mistakes and lack of thought that went into it.

    • These movies are so poorly written they have almost as many plot holes as they do scenes, literally. It's like continuity wasn't even a goal for the directors. It's best not to try to think about it too much, because why think about movies if the people who made them didn't think that much about it? If you start asking questions it's an endless road, like apparently that droid also had a map to exogol in his memory, but they don't check the memory until they need to make up a way for the Resistance fleet to show up. Better yet, if Luke found Oochi's ship, why didn't Luke check the Droid's memory all those years ago? It's a stupid story written by people who don't care about the fans.

  • Kylo and Rey should have gotten together in VIII and taken over the Empire in IX. If you wanted to subvert expectations, that would have been the way.

  • Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker: The movie that is somehow simultaneously too short to be a satisfying finale and feels longer than any movie ever made

    • It’s actually a fun 🎥

    • Randey Rasyid Marvel movies are far better star Wars Popcorn flicks Phantom Menace was crappy and horribly written Don't insult Marvel Go watch your prequel trilogy crap

    • BaronVonBielski Nah Phantom Menace sucked It's the worst star Wars film

    • @Caleb Reese AOTC has no good things ? Here you go Speeder Chase Obi Vs Jango Droid Factory Arena Monsters Seisemic Charges Jedi Battle Clones vs Droids Tatooine parts Yoda vs Dooku

    • They should have split it into two movies so there would be time to explain things.

  • Finally, a full version of this movie on ID-tv!

  • It feels good to have a movie so messy, dumb, and regressive that I find myself actually agreeing with Jeremy’s critiques. On a related note, Jay Exci and Th3BirdMan say hi.

  • I actually think the saber fight in the wreckage of the death Star is the best fight in the sequel trilogy, Rey and Kylo fighting the guards was cool but it wasn't them fighting each other

  • At least both Death Stars had a reason as to why there was a self-destruct system hidden in them. The first one was Galen Erso's revenge And the second one was the bait for the Emperor's trap

  • Am I the only one that's surprised that CinemaSins actually liked Rey calling herself a Skywalker at the end?

    • Like just except the Palpatine but do good so that people can no longer fear it.

    • Yes

    • @rose red flechette This is kind of why I think Ben and not Rey should have survived. Rey was basically a Jedi fetishist, and her obsession with the Jedi just repeats the same lessons Luke and Yoda had to learn the hard way; the Jedi FAILED because of pride, fear, and dogma. Obsessing over the Skywalker name suggests she's going to keep perpetuating these same problems. Ben surviving would be a different story. While he was trained as a Jedi, he left. He failed. He turned to the dark side due to the pride, fear, and dogma of the Jedi. He turned away from the dark side, and it's this that would keep him from perpetuating the failures of the Jedi. His attachments to the past are fractured, and he would likely move forward, rather than obsessing over a past that never was.

    • If family name still held the value people that hate this line seem to want it to have, every country in the world would still be a dynastic monarchy. Also Luke directly said to Rey earlier something to the effect of (paraphrasing) "screw blood, it doesn't matter."

  • Palpatine said he’d been messing with kaylo’s head his entire life and kaylo’s reply is basically “ok, so what’s up?”

  • Just wanna say that the sin about light speed skipping is irrelevant as the tie fighters don’t have the ability to go into hyper space so he would not be trained to do so in any way.

  • "Rey Skywalker" moment literally was a sin, Rey is a Palpatine, she's not daughter of Leia or Luke

  • 14:45 "Of course they do." and "Somehow... Palpatine has returned." sound like 4th wall breaking moments because Oscar Isaac was unable to hide his disappointment with the script and make him sound like he's thinking "For fuck sake JJ."

  • 08:45 I have to admit, when she suddenly shot force lightning and allegedly blew up Chewy, I thought maybe this movie was going somewhere. Rey turning toward the dark side, death of a beloved character, even fear in Kylo's eyes... I thought maybe that was a turning point. Rey would begin to use her new powers viciously to kill First Order soldiers and officers and Kylo would show his good side by trying to save her. That lasted a whole 2 mnutes until they showed Chewy still alive.

    • Disney would never make a Disney Princess evil. They see Star Wars as a fairy tail story

    • See now ,why are you in the panel board

    • @Charc0al TV Thats to bad. I'm betting I could wright a better movie trilogy; and I've only seen the prequels, A New Hope and TFA. I've read Red Harvest.

    • @Jeff Orri That's because Disney had basically zero plan or over-arching plot for the billion dollar movie franchise they bought

    • @Charc0al TV Thats not what I like to hear about Star Wars.

  • That ‘Jesus’ after Rey says to never underestimate a droid really cracked me up

  • I saw this movie in the theater when it first came out. Haven’t seen it since and have forgotten most of the plot. That says a lot.

  • The sith maps are one of the biggest plot devices I've ever heard of. I'm shocked that you don't just "fear-anger-hate-suffer" your way through to where it is. Honestly after the first 6 I just pretend these are some sort of different franchise in general ... cause SOME of it is really cool...

  • I’ve never seen the movie and, after watching this, I feel like I’m in an enviable position that many Star Wars fans wish they could be in

  • I love how well she can sail considering that she grew up on a planet without oceans

    • @J420so you’re a marvel super fan and anti dc, I get that. Marvel does not feel like they have that at all to me and neither does dc. Both had decent tv series but it still fell flat and just didn’t carry through. It’s all cgi and action. Which happens to sell. It’s not as bad writing as the new Star Wars movies but it’s not great. Not saying I could do better but you’re saying I’m not even allowed to not like it.

    • @J420 I’ll agree that marvel doesn’t do it on the dc level but after phase one I cannot say that marvel movies are all that good imo. I’m not knocking you for liking them they just aren’t my thing. Maybe if I were a kid I’d still enjoy them but they just don’t do it for me.

    • @aaron rodriguez and talk about boring super hero universe marvel has the exact opposite of that where they actually build, develop, and have u connect with the character in there own unique and personal way, they literally have it down to a science, that’s why endgame was such a high grossing movie, while DC is the complete opposite their terrible at character building and won’t apply continuity of that character throughout any of the later films if there is any boring super hero universe it is easily DC fam

    • @aaron rodriguez I’d agree that they have sort of the same problem but u can’t tell me marvel is on the same level as DC as DC runs into said problems in quite literally every movie they make except for like 2 making it over like 90% of their movies, while marvel only runs into these problems at a fraction of the rate (because not every movie they put out is a bad movie [only a couple]) making around like 25% so Marvel > DC lol

    • @J420 lol they both have the same problems. Dc had a decent run until the flash kept reversing timelines which made me have no investment into it. Plus the whole Lazarus pit being easily accessible. Marvel became pretty light hearted and action filled to the point where the story didn’t matter. Paired with an over saturation of super heroes in the current market makes for a pretty boring super hero universe where pretty much everyone is special.

  • Hux: *literally destroys an entire system* Also Hux: *i'M tHe SpY*

    • He is so patient that he is willing to destroy a sistem for keep his identity secret until he wants to

  • I think the most infuriating thing with this movie, and most of the sequels, is the changing of minor details that don't seem important; like the sith holocron being changed to a Wayfinder, or the sith world not being malachor, a sith planet that expanded on sith lore in a interesting and seemingly plausible way, not to mention the Palpatine cloning facility and the hidden fleet of cruisers that were major plot points in the heir to the empire trilogy which takes place around this same time period and has a villain that is now Canon and would pick up right where rebels left him adding a fairly new and extremely unique villain that would have made more sense and been more entertaining than another Palpatine. As a major star wars nerd, it just feels like a total slap in the face.

  • yesterday i was rewatching this one, and i thought "Well, it was sort of okay, could've been worse", and now i'm watching this and cry-laughing, this movie is amazing on how shitty it is

  • 1:04 it makes a lot of sense for a Sith Wayfinder to be compatible with a ship’s Navicomputer since even tho it’s treated like an ancient Sith artifact, the Star Wars Galaxy has had Hyperdrive-compatible ships for at least 4,000 years in canon, and like 10K years in Legends. If a treasure map-style wayfinder couldn’t tell a ship’s ‘puter where to go, it’d be useless.

  • Kylo just wants what any normal man wants, it's every mans most human and intimate desire. To be the owner of 10,000 giant triangular space ships.

  • When you think they cannot make a truly screwed up movie, they screw it up to a new level.

  • for me the best thing that came out of the sequels was appreciation for the prequels AND Poe dameron love that guy

  • I believe the reason why pal Paine is ‘old’ is because how he uses the dark side. He uses many types of abilities which out strain on the body so that’s my take kn why he is old

  • One of the things I hated about this, aside from the unexplained explanation on Sideous’ return and the wayfinders, was the explanation on how the Death Star chunk was on a different planet from Endor. According to the director in an interview, when the second Death Star exploded, the blast was strong enough to send the debris through hyperspace and land on the planet. I’m sorry, but no explosion’s fast enough to go through lightspeed. And have it not get burned up by it. Furthermore, there’s no way that the wreckage could stay in the same place and same shape and form with all the waves beating down on it. Realistically, the dagger would be useless as there would’ve been little to nothing left from it. Overall, this movie was just a jumbled mess of confusion.

  • During the kiss scene, my grandma said she thought they were going to keep reviving each other until they both died

    • @Ckillian Frustie LMAOOO

    • Anakin Skywalker must be furious to see that he could revive Padme that easily without the dark side

    • Grandma is fking BASED

    • @Chris Butler if that's the case then everyone should write anything lol. That makes "should have written it" lose its purpose lol.

  • I find it amazing that this episode of CinemaSins didn't last 3 hours

  • The pay off for Anakin being the most powerful Jedi ever was "bring back the balance as I once did"

  • Rey: "horrible thing has happened with this dagger" Meanwhile she's holding the youngling slayer 3000

  • This caught me so off guard 22:00 😂😂😂

  • "that necklace snatching was so dramatic i'm surprised it didn't lead to the death of bruce wayne's parents" this singular line is better than this entire movie

  • I also like, how they didn't even care to change the quote up... Isn't that exactly what he told to Anakin in the theatre?

  • One thing that annoys me with the filming adaptations of the dark side is that it doesn't give emphasis on a greater cause (I'm more or less refering to the sequels.) Because sith don't seek the dark side to have power to do what they want. (now this might sounds wrong in text) But instead they seek goals and see the dark side as a means to an end. If that checks out? As opposed to just wanting the power the dark side can give.

  • Man, I have so many bad things to say about this whole trilogy

  • Luke can hold objects and use the force still? I haven't seen these newer movies but that kinda makes dying a buff doesn't it? I wanna be a Jedi now lol

  • *Anakin making C-3PO* "I'll make it able to read ancient sith, but forbid it from doing so, that's a good trick!"

    • He was a republic or rebel droid so they probably changed something

    • This is my new head canon for how it happened given Anakin's age when he originally built C3PO. Thought I'm sure there's a far more mundane in universe explanation like "the language is illegal so all translation parts are sold without the ability to discuss them but kept the knowledge for 'scientific' reasons."

    • He found a destroyed c3p0 in a scrap alley I think that why he cant read sith language

    • Anakin, programs 6 million languages into C3PO including the sith language and even follows Republic Law preventing C3PO from translating said language even though Tatooine isn't even part of the Republic.

    • "and I will also install red lights there so that when he reads it they can turn on and make it more diabolical"

  • Okay, why are we removing sins for Rey changing her name on a whim due to being related to a sith lord? Luke didn't do this. It's straight up plagiarism and disregard to the parents that raised her the right way.

  • 6:17 they only made two because there can only be two sith at once. It's the rule of two created by Darth Bane

  • Honest review bro, think you covered everything

  • In one of the comics it is revealed that Palpatine was actually the father of Anakin Skywalker, He altered the Midichlorians in Anakin's mother's womb and made up the prophecy of "The Chosen" one (to be fair he kinda was the chosen one just not in the way they wanted) and that's why Anakin's mum doesn't know who the father is, it also makes Rey, Anakin's daughter/niece, just not in the blood kinda way, more of a I created you kind of way.

  • Just wanted ghost Obi Wan to defeat Palpatine by saying "It's over Palpatine, now I have the high ground".

    • I was honestly hoping that Luke would show up to take on palpatine, ideally BEFORE Palps could throw ben off the cliff Luke had to do something dynamic not only to redeem himself and make this whole isolation/“one-with-the-force” transition worth it in the end, but to provide a satisfying conclusion to SKYWALKER saga; it began with him and it should end with him. Attempting to move beyond the legacy characters in THEIR OWN SAGA was a ludicrous mistake; if they want the movie to focus on new comers make an anthology film

    • @Self Nah you kids will still hate it and call it a disrespect to episode 3 and 1 lol.

    • Six hundred and twentieth like

    • Six hundredth like

    • Yes!

  • Honestly, the last jedi with some tweaks to it would've been a good starting point the the force awakens

  • The fact that they made more Star Wars movies deserves 1,000,000 sins

  • How did you not sin the point where someone said that the Star Destroyers can't tell which way is UP while on Exegol? Because a major part of their plan hinges on that making sense when it doesn't.

  • 0:55 in Star Wars Legends, Jedi could talk to each other while on different planets which makes sense. I wish they recanonized that ability for regular Force uses. Unfortunately, it looks like that’s not the case; ForceTime is a Dyad-exclusive ability in this dumb movie.

  • Episode 7: entire movie is to find a map to find luke. Episode 9: entire movie is to find a map to find Palpatine.

    • Zam Last jedi was definitely the best Of sequel trilogy

    • Episode 8: everyone should've gone with Rey because 10 minutes later it's the highlight of world's most boring police chases

    • Epsodie 8 was the best

    • @toasty Only if you missed it the first time in Episode 4

    • @Okidata29 Episode 8: General Hux is a Roomba and First Order naval officers lack common sense to simply fire the dreadnaught’s mega cannons at the Raddus instead of destroying the abandoned rebel base

  • You missed one. You want to know what it is? Rey: “Terrible things have happened with this dagger” Also Rey holding Anakins lightsaber, or the youngling slayer 9000

  • 17:22 He actually said everybody should go and kamikaze into the fleet 😭

  • I am convinced that anyone who likes the latest trilogy will ultimately just like anything as long as the special effects are shiny enough or it has the right badge on it

  • I love how literally everyone has the same opinion on these movies.

  • I feel so bad that Anakin's saber got buried in the sand on a sand planet.

    • @Skaven Misinformation Agent Well given current canon Anakin's force ghost should've run up grabbed his lightsaber and told Rey she's an idiot for even considering putting his lightsaber in the sand

    • HE HATES SAND!!!

    • Because what oh poor Anakin didn’t do it he’s so badasss lol wow she’s honoring them can’t you see it no because anakin is so badasss wah

    • @Elite gamer She's a Palpatine. It was her/his final kick in the nuts to the Skywalkers, along with Disney kicking all the Skywalkers in the nuts and taking a giant dump on fans.

  • "taking a good look sir. at my friends" C3PO hardly knows anyone in that room, just the fact that C3PO said that makes me think his memory was already wiped. (sin counter goes up)

  • I subscribed just becaus he managed to fit mostly everything wrong with The Rise of Skywalker in only 23 minutes. Amazing

  • Disney doesn’t even have it for a decade and they absolutely destroyed my love for star wars

    • @Marco not on facebook I have the same sentiment. The Force Awakens was decent enough to renew intrigue, but then Rian Johnson threw whatever that film was setting up into the garbage can to make whatever the The Last Jedi was, then JJ dug up that pile, but sadly it had already accumulated all the smell from being in the garbage for too long so its was already set up to fail.

    • @Darthalas I agree with you. just because a few movies are bad doesn't mean that everything about that fandom is ruined. if a few bad movies ruined the entire fandom, then the Percy jackson famdom would be screwed

    • @Simply Zed I definitely agree with you, this sheer vastness of Star wars means that they could have gone back and pulled a great deal or they could have led us on a new epic adventure referencing that older material instead of trying to do fan service (And even failing that in most regards)

    • The immense amount of source material star wars has makes it even worse, an old republic trilogy with old sith lords, large scale jedi vs sith fights and actual good story progression would have solidified star wars as one of the greatest film series of all time but nah let’s just waste 3 movies doing absolutely nothing but side mission

    • @Deborah Minter ....where?

  • imagine being an American Soldier and hearing "somehow Hitler returned" like no, you dont just do that

  • Rey: "I just transferred a bit of life. Force energy from me to him" Anakin: "Wait, is that a thing? Is it some sort of paid DLC or what, I could have saved Padme or my mom with ease!"

    • @Brian Potter well, she's really skywalker now

    • @Brian Potter literally only power came through that heritage. Rey had literally no knowledge from palpatine and very little training but since she’s the main character she is automatically set to god mode

    • @InLegend 212 I believe they threw in that Lea was her teacher.

    • @TheStreamingEnderman chosen to murder all those younglings. i mean, come on. there were like thousands of jedi, two sith. even if they're totally for the good force, surely balance revolves around an equalizing of sides in any context.

    • And Anakin was the CHOSEN ONE too!

  • I’m glad someone else actually liked Rey’s with lightning moment, I thought that moment was crazy in theaters. They have hinted at her turning to the dark side for two films and then she lets the anger take over and we see how strong she could be. Loved it, just didn’t go far enough with it imo

  • What really made me mad is that they took away from Anakin's redemption.

  • I know everyone hates the fact that C3PO's software prohibited from translating the sith rune and he needed to be jail broken to read it out loud. But that was the most realistic thing in this movie.

  • You must have made this video purely for my amusement because I laughed my A@$ off! Thank you, great video. "Kylo survives this" LMAO

  • "Oh please! R2's storage units are FAMOUSLY unreliable!" He is literally the one fucking entity in the entirety of this series between all three trilogies, the multiple animated series, and other Star Wars content to have never fucking snitched on ANYONE when it comes to the vast amounts of knowledge multiple characters have entrusted him with. R2 is literally the most reliable droid in the entire galaxy!

    • how come C3PO lasted more movies than some of the best jedi

    • @Ghost Shadow considering he was the droid that repaired the ship that flew through the blockade on naboo, yes obi-wan and padmé would´ve died in episode 1 without r2

    • Yeah the R2 unit that held plans to the death star. UN reliable.

  • The only reason I think the reactor has an opening shaft is for cooling.

  • I just want to point out that Palpatine "impregnated" Anakin's mother with the force which essentially makes him his father which, eventually, means that both Rey and Ben's bloodlines go back to Palpatine and that makes them I think 3rd cousins.

    • AFAIK that is not Canon anymore and even if Anakin would be the child of a threesome involving Sidious and Plagueis right?

  • can’t believe palpatine couldn’t hold back from shooting lightning out of his hands for 5 minutes, that should’ve been at least 1,000 sins

  • ”And I’m all the Jedi.” One sin is added for every Jedi that died for this. *+10,000*

  • You wanna know what’s sad? Palpatine forgot to tell Rey the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise…

    • @Thoughts Nope, darth plagueis was palpatine's master

    • @Thoughts No, but it's implied that he was Plagueis' apprentice.

    • In 'YTP: Star Wars: The Rise of Rey Palpatine', Palpatine asks Rey if he heard The Tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise. Rey confirms she had already, but Palpatine ignores her comment and attempts to tell her the tragedy.

    • It would have made this movie ten time more watchable.

    • @Tom Um how?
