Wonder Woman 1984. Or, if you prefer, WW84. It was certainly a movie. A movie that happened. Many of you saw it. Let's just say it isn't exactly great. And it's got sins like you wouldn't believe.

  • I've seen the full movie and he could've easily sinned so many more scenes if he wanted to.

    • When they say man and men they mean people since it was a patriarchy because then that would make no sense like man trynanny means tyranny of hupeopleity and man's guilt and naivamce and men are easy manipulated and man's ext is people That why the telling of old people seems tyrannical but it isn't if you refer to the world as because we really talked about Britain when you talk about the world and British areas you met with a well that's broken and it's of the speaking well well in today's society would seem very confusing. Like in Wonder woman because no one was shocked about the woman has tester. And she called him a man but I think she also ment mortal because of the gods women and half of juice with men half of the people who made with salt and then she knows about me and I think you would be most about mortals because she has had more of mortal than men and iron Man consuming Italian Greek because their armour was aRoman armour Her Father Zeus was a man. She saw man. She studied I'm not I mean, I'm pretty sure she knew what the man was. Plus he if he never saw a man in her life, how could she know what it is and stuff about them? Also, once you men men are Co Op, they mean humans. Because remember, it's Greece. 300 BC there a patriarchy. They use men. Well, maybe not 300 BCE, but lakh 50,000 years ago and stuff 3000 years ago I'm not too sure she would be very surprised. It's a man she would be if it's an mortal because they talk about mortal being grew up and moved to LA easily grew up. Is that what God's religion say about them? Humans and people thinking the God of war because they did not install heart of a god they even grow it I could use he was a man to all that talk about men words men and the holy sanction hey I mean man so she would be more surprised if it was a mortal. Like why the woman at the end was spared is because the hero kills everyone except the end villain. Because this type of movie, the whole point of this movie, is that because when you kill the cause everything that's done in the movie automatically get undone. So, if people wishes for more weapons when you declare war, even if you can do all those weapons, since the cause of the war is because they had no weapons, the war will automatically be undone, which doesn't make sense but like, also, if, in the first movie, she fought the God of War whispered for humanity to be evil. Even if you kill a human's god of war in this low god of war, no matter how many god of war you kill, those will be war, because the hands already been done. And that's a real thing in the movie. And we're thinking about the body of someone else, to revive someone to the stuff that happening the bed. Basically, all of that has been done, even if she wasn't wished. Because that's how movies happened. And also if we did single, great and nuke EBF we nuke will be we do Shift stuff happening everywhere because we radiation will go everywhere. Plus, there have been some murders that stop like even if you automatically wish that not that that didn't happen. It doesn't mean the war would stop. Because there's a bunch of nukes that have already been sent And kill someone is logic the person will be revived so everything that person has done will be indone on the person wishes for weapon weapon that they have these weapons Bible logical movie would be disappeared because the whole point of wonder woman of God movie the movie everything from the movie that's why she know that if you can have it with God of war he will be at peace just magically disappear for like the military to like have weapons that they already have that a shooting to each other because 50 megaton bombs existed but it's not like they're probably would still have nukes I mean even if they were still war and likely that some close borders there's some cruise balls when you touch and even on wishing and did everything it made no sense also that probably wasn't happened since only Witch and wishing wouldn't do anything even though you would still happen

    • Damn you, copyright.

    • @Uncanny Valley didnt need to hear that she was IDF. Now that cute smile is ruined forever and i wont see her films. Kevin Spacey, Lewis CK and now Gal Gadot. if you tell me that Chris evans spits on trans kids I am done with movies.

    • @Hebrew Yisraelite Yahawadahite in the toons adn comics she can fly, not a dc fan never knew why. Did like the TV Show from teh 70s or 80s when i was a kid for two reasons, the left one and the right one.

    • This game had a great concept. Wonder Woman winning the day with compassion like Silver Age Wonder Woman would have. Even avoiding breaking Maxwell Lords neck like in the 2000s comics. The execution though was terrible.

  • Seeing that Bruce Wayne's parents were killed in 1981 and this movie takes place in 1984, there is a legitimate chance that Bruce Wayne wished to revive his parents and Diana told him to renounce his wish, and they just kinda never bothered to talk about it when they first met.

    • @Hello 3.14dododododododododododod Harry who?

    • Well ya see, we don't worry about plot holes and reasonable questions... we just look at the pretty colors and cool costumes.

    • Wow

    • @White Horse In Batman's first appearance he was carrying a pair of pistols, and if I remember right, he killed the villain. It wasn't until his backstory was developed that his distain of firearms and killing became a defining trait.

  • It is insane that Steve went from flying a WW1 fighter plane to a freaking fighter jet. My dad is a commercial pilot and he needs like 500 hours of training just to go from a CRJ-200 to a CRJ-300

    • Oh, yes, this was the thing that bugged me most on initial viewing. There is no way in HELL Steve knows how to operate a JET ENGINE!!!

    • 😐 just to play devil's advocate: your dad needs to be legally certified as competent by doing that many hours and being tested and someone could probably "get the gist" in a much shorter period of time but yeah, not "no time at all to learn because I flew something 1000x less complicated"

    • Yeah, that bugged the shit out of me. It's more like going from horse & buggies to driving a race car. They are entirely different modes of transportation. It's not just that one plane is more powerful than the other. It's just a ridiculous leap to make. I used to do aqua aerobics 20 years ago... I think I'll compete in the Olympics tonight.

  • "This also presumes EVERYONE would be wishing for something selfish" THANK you, people look at me like I'm crazy when I bring this plot hole up.

    • Refer them to the movie Wish Upon. In fact, do it just because it's more entertaining.

    • So horrible. Hollywood is done

    • True. This also implies that everyone inmediately also saw that the rest of the world was going to hell and that it was necessary for them to renounce their wishes, as if some guy chilling in his farm, content with life and who simply wished for happiness in his child's life would somehow undo that wish because someone told him to. There's also the other side of the spectrum, where some people saw the world collapsing, but would he too selfish to really care. I mean, if someone wished to be able to control the minds of others, is there really any chance that he would give up the power to dominate anyone because of a bit of looting (again, assuming they don't have a nuclear warhead coming straight at them and they know about it)? There's, like issaid in this movie, the problem of contradicting wishes: If two people wish to be the richest people in the world, what happens? Do their bank accounts just keep infinitely filling up, as the wish corrects for the other's fortune endlessly? As a final thought, Cheetah's loss has to have been the stupidest loss, because a moreality change that makes you indifferent to morality would have absolutely no repercussions for the person who made the wish, since no longer being humane also means you don't care about not being humane. If anything, I'd say she got the best deal of all, since the wish simultaneously gave her all she wanted, and made her incapable of feeling bad for anything she might lose, like the homeless guy's friendship, or whatever. Plus, the movie showed us that her life was hell, and that she was doomed to be mocked, ignored and mistreated every day of her life without her wish. With that kind of logic, all anyone can feel for her is sad, because she was honestly simply asking to be treated like a person by others, to not be stepped on by everyone she met.

    • @Og but like Oh…Gee No he was clearly taking a a shortcut and it wasn't "tHE trUTH" god screw this sequel.

  • The invisible jet deserved more sins. It's probably never used again because she couldn't find where she parked it after the events of this film.

    • @Yunita Yoeng Radar waves are electromagnetic waves just like light is, so it kindof makes sense. What does deserve more sins, are issues like hypoxia, fuel and urine.

    • 😆

    • @Mayer No, they deserve to not be used. There's a reason WW hasn't had an invisible jet in decades. It's stupid.

    • There is a invisible toilet in the plane to. And a invisible sink but she never use the invisible sink

    • @Analysta654 yeah that probably it

  • It’s like somebody pitched this movie as a joke then proceeded to go on vacation and when he came back they stared working in it

    • @x0gucx EXactly. Its like the writer watched catwoman, didn't realize the movie was terrible then used that as a template for cheetah

    • @Richard Venables its also Super easy barely an inconvenience

    • @Sovann Chang Yes Sir I do.

    • @Sovann Chang Referencing other movie ID-tv channels is TIGHT!

    • So, you have a movie for me?

  • me: "a female character being in love is NOT an automatic sign of weakness!! You can have a love life and be a strong woman!" WW84: "are you sure about that?"

    • And the fact how fast she moved on as her aunt died with whom she grew up makes it for me worser than it is

    • 😂😂😂😂

    • @strahinjagov ouch dang

    • @Agon Leed The worst part is that they even acknowledge it by having Steve mention how ridiculous it is that she hasn't gotten over him.

    • not being able to let go and move on is the weakness. not love

  • Here's the sin you missed, if Max Lord renounces his wish, wouldn't all the other wishes that have been granted since he got his wish granted being null and void? Because the wishes were made through him. And if he can no longer Grant the wishes, anything he would have granted would automatically vanish

    • @Dan Watkins yes I did, damn autocorrect lol

    • Did you mean Null and void

    • @Mike Hu Yeah, the entire movie was feel-good drivel.

    • @8roke You7u6er5 which means it's still a sin. Since the wishes would vanish anyway that entire scene of Diana convincing the world(which is absurd already) is pointless. All she needed was for max to renounce his.

    • @8roke You7u6er5 I would like to think so as well, but you know the way they do movies. The world will still be destroyed because ONE kid didn't give up their wish to have that teddy bear! LOL

  • This movie needed about a 100000 more sins for the "renounce your wish" ending

    • I think this POS movies biggest sin is having a huge dramatic build up to reveal the god of the stone and it’s just someone they made up. WTF was the point of that, other than to give the audience blue balls? I know originally he was supposed to be connected to Ares but why was it deleted the

    • @Andrew When they say man and men they mean people since it was a patriarchy because then that would make no sense like man trynanny means tyranny of hupeopleity and man's guilt and naivamce and men are easy manipulated and man's ext is people That why the telling of old people seems tyrannical but it isn't if you refer to the world as because we really talked about Britain when you talk about the world and British areas you met with a well that's broken and it's of the speaking well well in today's society would seem very confusing. • @önalbetül And if someone wishes to live a long life, do they die?

    • Like someone who Wished that they could walk after being paralyzed their whole life would have to renounce their wish?

    • @Robert Monroe Same lol

  • You left out the biggest sin of all. In the first film, it’s a big deal that Diana was training in secrecy from her mother during her childhood, and now this film features her doing warrior triathlons in front of her mother Also also, Diana looks at the old pic of her and Chris Pine like it’s the last time she’s seen him and obviously it wasn’t if they spent time together in 1984

    • The better could be if WW84 took place in a Elseworld

    • Also, not starting with "DC Comics" **ding**

    • They dont have a picture from 84' and he didn't look the same

  • "I wanna be an apex predator." (Gets turned into a killer whale)

    • @hugehappygrin bears dont think so.

    • Nothing happens. Humans are considered to be apex predators.

    • *gets turned into human*

    • Or a Grizzly Bear.Or a Polar Bear.I would think that with wishes, it's important to be specific. It's like what the Genie said to Aladdin when he asked him to make him a Prince.

  • I feel like, if Max had WISHED for everyone to renounce their wish and the magnitude of that wish killed him, the movie would have been less ridiculous. Because there is no way everyone on earth would suddenly renounce their wishes.

    • @Aon Dutta it’s all up to the script was my point. It would have made more sense

    • max cant make wishes he is the granter of wishes. Well yes he can take what he wants from other people but no one else can renounce everyones wish

    • I would never have renounced my wishes lol

    • It would have made more sense, but that would have killed Max, and only a fool would kill a golden goose before he's made appearances in at least 3 more films building into a cinematic universe....

  • I'm surprised you didn't sin the part where Diana and Steve left that taxi driver stranded in the middle of a desert after buying his car. That taxi driver would likely die from extreme heat exhaustion, starvation, or dehydration thanks to them.

  • The most absurd part of this movie is that the climax relies on EVERY wish being renounced. Like, what about orphans who wished their parents were alive? Or people in hospitals wishing their cancer was gone or kids wishing that they had superpowers? Like they're going to renounce THOSE wishes? Hell no!

    • And that's not even considering the amount of parents that probably lost their kid during the course of this movie due to some sort of accident and finally been able to get their kid back.

    • @Angad Singh you made a pop culture reference

    • @8roke You7u6er5 that's exactly what I thought

    • I don't know if I'm smarter than 99.99% of people who watched WW84, or if I'm overlooking something, but Max renouncing his wish means that every wish he grants is voided. The only people who had their wishes granted from the Wishing Stone, as opposed to Max, were WW, Barbara, and Coffee Guy. Literally only those three need to renounce their wishes for the ending to work. Everyone else, if they renounced their wish - GREAT! If they didn't - TOUGH PATOOTIES! The guy who granted your wish lost his abilities to maintain it, so you're losing it like everyone else.

    • @Niranjan R Its much more difficult to believe once you realize the Price for some would be similar to Cheetah. A world full of people with no emotions or guilt. Good luck filling them so full of guilt they renounce their wish. Side note. Maxwells wish is meaningless the stone would still exist in some form and all previous wishes would stand. Simply renouncing his wish only means he is no longer the stone.

  • The most unbelievable thing is that guys aren't constantly hitting on Barbara. Sure, she's clumsy and has low self-esteem, but what guy would be turned off by that when she's absolutely gorgeous?

    • and to use the language of pick up artists (I actually cringed typing that) they self neg, so its like getting a door prize or as they say now a participation trophy. Seriously the trophy concept is a laugh and half as a concept, i never won jack in sports being about 4 years shorter and less heavy than everyone else, never upset me, others were never my benchmark. I remember in high school a couple of the athelthic types were giving me a "hard time" insults at my height i attacked their grades so it was fair. then i said fine, lets do these dumb tests, long jump, broad jump, wieghts etc on height weight ratios. Funny enough no one i went to school with could broad jump 160% their height, trying to shotput 10+% of their weight was funny to watch. Turns out when your tiny your strength to weight ratio seems like spiderman's.

    • @CountArtha Exactly. In that world, someone who is a 5 would be like an 8 at least.

    • That's another cinema sin "obviously attractive actress is ugly bc of glasses and awkwardness cliche"

    • @The Voices Told Me To Again Ah, apologies. I was being sarcastic because "woman takes off glasses and is immediately hotter" is a common movie trope.

    • @Priscabc Id actually say its the other way around.

  • " Renounce your wishes. " And what about people who asks to die and go to heaven ? Like they're chilling in heaven and some angels bring them back to earth so they can renounce their wish ? And most of all, I can't believe no one just joked in front of the TV saying " I wish the world explode " or something.

    • What about people who wished to die themselves? How can they renounce their wish?

    • "I missed the part where that's my problem." **planet explodes**

    • If Michael Bay directed this movie that would have happened

    • Right?! that was my exact thought, like someone looking at max saying "wish he would just die."

  • Seems Wonder Woman is bad at understanding technology She doesn’t know breaking cameras are pointless The plane that Steve and her hijacks needs fuel The fact that invisibility and radar are completely different things

    • Her hijacks a plane? Please learn English. It's "she" hijacks a plane. She is doing it.

    • @Jörg Mitter they are technically different, why else would they name it "electromagnetic wave" and all that stuff instead of "slower wave", "wave 1, 2, 3" or something. you get my point

    • @Hulls Colby -- but photons and em waves share physical properties - the duality nature of light dictates this ..

    • @TheRatsintheWalls Oh, sorry that I didn't reply sooner. Well, even if they were really untrackable, I'm pretty sure being a complete void of nothingness inside the radar is not good either. The reason stealth aircrafts can be stealthy is because besides being outside the radar via altitude, they are also designed to be so. Being a big patch of nothingness in a 3d space would arouse suspicion. Unless there's also a fix to that.

    • @Hulls Colby Exactly. This whole invisibility "power" over flying jets was written into the wonder woman comics in like the 1920's - the point being, I doubt the writers thought it through that much.

  • I dont know why but Pedro Pascals delivery of the line "Life is good, but it can be better." is just hilarious.

  • Handsome Man was the most sympathetic character, hands down! They even had him be nice to Diana at the end, without realising that she sexually assaulted him while her dead boyfriend possessed him.

    • faaacctss!!! i was wondering when somebody would mention that, like... no matter how much romancing saplings you dump into this movie, SA was definitely a real issue, and it can't be excused just because all she saw when looking at the man was her boyfriend. And then they have them both at the end being kind to one another, like possible friends or even romantic partners in the future... like omg

    • @AceLovesDIYs Christopher never watched Gray's anatomy, could you please give context?

    • @Kentrc11 heyy don't bring American pie into this...the main character was a guy who only lasted a few seconds before climaxing...last time I checked women make fun of that

    • That makes this seem like a horror movie

    • @noel ighedo deviating from what point? I didn't write Amazon mythology. Don't shoot the messager, that's how Amazons were explained by the Greeks.

  • So are we not sinning the fact that they managed to take a jet from the Smithsonian to Egypt on a single tank of fuel which probably didn't even have the tank 100% full?

  • I loved the first movie, it felt so empowering to have a woman super hero movie and it was soo fun to watch! And then they freaking annihalated it all with THIS. I can't begin to explain how much i hate this and everything they did to wonder woman. Built her up as a female hero just to destroy her even harder then any female character before with this bullshit.

  • I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. This movie features a WWI soldier who gave his life fighting “the war to end all wars” in 1918 who comes back in 1984. The whole movie should have been him reading a history book and weeping.

  • That “holy shit your the mandolorian” was the best

  • My personal favorite is how the writers were so inept they literally had Wonder Woman look straight at the camera and deadass *announce* the moral of the story directly to the audience.

    • Not just this, but the big moral speech WW makes at the climax when they are on the secret island is a master class in absolute gibberish. Not once does her mass of words compile into something that could be recognised as a coherent flow of thought and words. Instead it sounded like she was reading a thesaurus out loud.

    • When did that happen?

    • @JD S Oh I'm pretty sure people did notice, but a paycheck's a paycheck at the end of the day.

    • @Matthew Dykeman that’s… actually fair. I agree.

    • @Reanna Sheehy Yes and no. Both Patty Jenkins and Zach Synder did the first one, his one was entirely Patty Jenkins. Also yes bring gender into this, the movie did itself. The literal plot is about sexism, except it's horribly skewed in favor of women. Literally every male in this movie other then Cris Pine is an asshole or sexual harassment lawsuit waiting to happen, yet Wonderwoman actually rapes a man and she's the pinnacle of virtue.

  • This guy cracks me up...so spot with great humor. This channel is needed for any bad day for instant smiles & laughs

  • "HOLY SHIT, YOURE THE MANDALORIAN!!" Is the best line reading I've seen today

    • Also hands down best part of the movie. Cinemasins: *SIN*

  • "Life is good, but it can be better." "Holy s***! You're the Mandalorian!" I cracked up at this part

  • In January of 2021, for my birthday, I wanted to go see a movie in a theater. There weren't many options, but I thought WW84 would be entertaining. I could not have been more wrong.

  • *Diana* : _Don't be selfish. Renounce your wish._ *The starving orphan kid who just wish for his parents back and some food* °_°

    • No wonder this takes place in 1984 a true dystopia

    • @Barney Paws Also, what about people who wished for their children, or their spouses, or their parents, to have a happy life? How on Earth would that be selfish? And what kind of parent would say "fuck it, my child's happiness isn't really worth it"? What about people who wished that their loved one would no longer have a golfball-sized tumor in their lung? What about a person being robbed right at that moment who wished they were saved from the intruder? There's so many scenarios where people would wish for things they needed and couldn't give up no matter what, and so many which aren't selfish and which, if granted, no sane person would return? As a final thing, what happened to the people the wish killed? How did the woman at the deli who wished for all Irishmen to be deported get to cancel her wish, when she was dead?

    • Her real name is wonder Karen, only a true Karen would do that

    • @Barney Paws yeah, let's just not think about those folks. /s

  • I'm a vegan, and 7:17 made me laugh so hard that I spit all over the cellphone screen and my mom (who was sitting next to me) told me to pipe down already.

  • CS: "Apparently her lasso can attach itself to the departing soul of her dead love, thus propelling her toward her destiny." ME: 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm dead.

    • @Paul Olsen With sincerity, I'm not sure if you're insulting me or not. I'm not Reddit-savvy.

    • @Micah does this belong to r/cursedcomments?

  • A few things I noticed is: isn't she wearing GOLD Armour? A highly conductive metal? Why did the cheetah lady get electrocuted but she didn't? And I also wish they had a bit more backup for the armor. It seems more for convenience sake than anything.

  • Yeah, I had a lot of problems with this movie. The invisible jet wouldn't just go undetected from radar. If it did, they certainly don't explain how her cloaking the jet from *sight* also cloaks it from radar. If you throw a rock at it, does it go right through, or bounce off like an actual invisible yet ohsyical object? smh Next, Barbara should've never been allowed a SECOND wish to become Cheetah. She already used her one wish on the dreamstone. If they wanted to bypass this unexplained BS then they should've said something like because Max is now the stone, it acts differently than wishing on the original stone and she still gets one wish with Max (or some stupid bs reason like that). But nope, never explained and they even point out everyone only gets ONE WISH. Also, yeah, how is Diana not fired for stealing the jet or anything else she does sneakily inside her department? Aren't they going to come under a big investigation that the FBI asked them to go through the stolen artifacts and now one was destroyed? They would get in a LOT of trouble for that. Another huge thing that is absolutely absurd is that they took that jet from DC all the way to Cairo without needing to refuel??? There's no way that jet could make that flight. And also just because he's apparently the best pilot in existence that he would suddenly learn in two seconds how to fly that thing. I don't think so. And yes, the whole idea that Max could grant EVERYONE'S wish through a fking television screen is absolute nonsense. He's not physically touching people. IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY!!! This whole movie annoyed me. I even asked halfway through "is this supposed to be about Diana or this friggin', Max guy???" Stupid plot.

  • You missed the sin where Diana wasn’t allowed to train like a warrior until she was a teenager, but here she is competing against other Amazon’s

    • @Donna Brooks It was obviously an autocorrect mistake but thanks

    • Amazons. It's plural. "Amazon's" is possessive. Please learn when and when not to use apostrophes. It's basic English.

    • @Analysta654 she ended up training anyways. Look it up on ID-tv

    • @George Hidalgo yea she was given training as a child after Diana’s aunt convinced her mother that training would be best for her

    • @Agon Leed oh well sure, I guess. I’m a little thrown off by the comparison but I looked back at the movie and she was given special training after convinced ares would return. She did train as a child, it just happened to be in here later years

  • Honestly, I can forgive the poorly executed message and cgi for the fact that Diana's able to get everyone in the world to change their minds just by a sentimental sermon.

  • Barbara: Funny, all this reading has cured my eyesight somehow Me: Reading books was the reason I had to start wearing glasses

    • @IdiosyncraticLawyer You're still on this? It's been a month. I didn't even remember this anymore until you suddenly commented again. Let it go.

    • @☆Idk☆ & Balvan Stop it.

    • @Russian Valkyrie reading small letters in dim light worsens eyesight according to doctors in my country

    • There is no scientific link between reading itself and needing glasses

    • @daughterofolaf That's an appeal to authority and is not valid as an argument. I almost certainly read more books than you, in the darkness of bed, no less, and my eyes are easily above average after all these years.

  • 18:54 I think what happened is that max gave some of what he was taking from people when he granted their wishes, and gave them to barbara. That way he never gave her a second wish, he gave her other peoples price for wishing.

  • Best part: Lasso of Truth suddenly changes to Lasso of Lies

  • Barbara: "I am finally strong, sexy and special just like Diana!" Maxwell: "But I can give you more. What else do you wish for?" Barbara: "I want to be... a cat."

    • 🎶Everybody Wants To Be A Cat🎶

    • I still don't understand it. Exactly how is Barbara given a second wish (and yes, I know it's a sin)? There was literally a scene in the film in which Lord wanted his worker to make a wish for him, but became frustrated because he found out that the worker already made a wish earlier.

    • (JUST TRYING TO BE FUNNY) I JUST want to say... I wouldnt at all mind at being a CAT. SHIT, most people think I am already... but do we really need more species uprising?

    • When they say man and men they mean people since it was a patriarchy because then that would make no sense like man trynanny means tyranny of hupeopleity and man's guilt and naivamce and men are easy manipulated and man's ext is people That why the telling of old people seems tyrannical but it isn't if you refer to the world as because we really talked about Britain when you talk about the world and British areas you met with a well that's broken and it's of the speaking well well in today's society would seem very confusing. • @Manny Sweeney I thought I was the only one that caught that lol

  • another sin: why is the "ancient armour" still in perfect condition after apparently being bashed by an army of vikings?

    • @Jerry Graham I doubt a single female/cat hybrid is stronger than a Viking. Sure she has superpowers but Have you seen a Viking?

  • 19:40 I know where the idea of wishing came from that x files episode with the genie. Mulder was half right and wished for world peace as he knew to wish for something that benefited everyone. Trouble was that he was only person in the world because it was not specific enough and how do you define world peace?

  • You should have added at least ten sins for that plane stealing scene. There was so much wrong with it, I probably couldn't list it on my hands.

  • Well there's also showing Barbara seeing her new abilities but barely experimenting with them.Electro in ASM 2 when he debuted got more screen time and wasn't limited to just one scene in the movie.

  • I dont know why but Pedro Pascals delivery of the line "Life is good, but it can be better." is just hilarious.

    • @I have no common sense But I honestly cant tell apart if someone is Brazilian, Mexican, from Chile or the Carribean. As a European I simply have too little experience with your cultures XD

    • @Mediados yeah im not a snow flake with all that but i know many other latino’s can get all triggered by that🤣💀

    • @I have no common sense But Is he not? Jesus fucking Christ how embarrassing. Chile then 😂.

    • @Mediados well he isn’t Mexican but i get what you’re trying to say

    • Pedro is a ham. En español, Pedro es un jamon.

  • The “overly complicated ball” is actually based on the balls used for pato and horseball, which is basically horseback basketball

  • When I watched this movie I legitimately thought the big Reveal would be that the stone didn’t create anything, so if you wished for a dead lover, he would possess a living person, if you wished to be like someone it took those things away from them…nope they just decided Steve had to possess some random guys body.

  • Gotta admit that his love for his son was touching as hell.

    • Pedro is one of the few positives about this film.

  • 8:39 21:49 That’s it? That’s the closest you’re going to come to sinning Diana basically raping a guy?! Come on CinemaSins! That was worth like 100 sins at the very least! (Not to mention this movie tried to make Barbara’s first “dark villainous” moment the one where she beats the shit out of her attempted rapist. HOW DID THE EDITORS NOT CATCH THAT?) Whew... ok, I’ve relaxed. Excellent video besides those complaints. Now I’m interested in seeing TheBirdMan respond. I think this’ll be the first time where he not only mostly agrees with CS, but also just adds to his points.

  • “Everything wrong with WW84” *Plays the whole movie*

    • This movie was SO disappointing....

    • It was like a trip through the mind of some women I have known.

    • @Robert Monroe respecc

    • No, it's not. It's an overused joke that isn't funny because there are no movies EVERYTHING is wrong with.

    • @Moolers it's not a joke, it's just fact

  • "Doesn't she know this will lower her armor class?" Obviously, you don't understand how the female armor class works: Less = More, somehow.

  • it was almost like watching "Superman 2" with Christopher Reeves. The Hero loses powers, falls in love then comes back with a kick ass fight. Then flies away in the end.

    • At least Superman 2 was actually good

    • Except Superman 2 at least had a likable villain with Terence Stamp as Zod. This on the other hand....

    • Except not as fun or charming.

    • The level of slapstick comedy in the mall scene immediately made me think of Superman 2

  • Love you guys!! You save me from wasting time of awful movies!!

  • “I wish for this movie to end” but sees the end of the movie over and over again

  • I feel like you went too easy on this movie, can we get a part two?

  • I ACTUALLY ENJOYED AND LIKED WW84! THE MOVIE WASN'T THAT BAD! NOT THE WORST DCEU FILM! ALSO, MOST PEOPLE HATE IT FOR RIDICULOUS REASONS AND THE HATERS ARE TOXIC PEOPLE!

  • The second this movie started the "you can wish for anything (but we are supposed to turn it down because wish granting is selfish)" and the "revoke your wish" I turned to my sister and said what happened to the kids who wanted daddy to stop hurting them and mommy to come back. what about the hungry kids who wanted food or the sick kids who wanted to be better. what about them?

  • *Apparently her lasso can attach itself to the departing soul of her dead love, thus propelling her toward her destiny* had me in stitches.

  • This movie was 2020 in a nutshell: looked good leading up to it, but once you got into it, it was terribly disappointing and you wished you had skipped it.

    • @TheCrazyfighter19 *THAT* *MIGHT* have saved this one for me. Theaters weren't open here when this came out. I liked it too & have the DVD/BLU-RAY combo pack *BUT* even movies I've seen & own can be more fun on the big screen

    • @Bryce Birkinbine It was good...BUT IT CAN BE BETTER!

    • This holds true as this very movie made a two-hour Southwest flight enjoyable

    • This fits so well. The trailer was one of the best I've ever seen and I'd prefer watching it on repeat for 2 hours than rewatch this movie.

    • Nah I’ve seen this movie 5 times already. Three times in the cinema

  • The flashback to childhood was a lesson about how taking shortcuts cheats yourself and others out of authentic achievements. Hence the story about wishes

  • I literally lost it at 7:13 "Holy sh*t, you're the Mandalorian" LOL 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  • I already forgot about the kid wishing for mando's greatness since nothing happened with that. Unless you count somehow not dying at the end. I would have thought he took his dad's power or something

  • Quick fun fact, Wonder Woman (and many other female superhero characters) tend to wear wedges due to marketing. The female lead can’t be shorter than her male costars in other feature films. “She has to be tall” and wedges are the cheapest, easiest solution for that

  • I love the second movie, had a message ppl didn't want to digest but needed(Not to responding to weird, rude or sarcastic comments)

  • “Apparently her lasso can attach itself to the departing soul of her dead love” did me in-lmfao-OMG...

  • There's a way this ending works but, again, this is like a first draft which they rushed into production. If Max takes his wish back then you could argue that anyone who wished through him as the dream stone couldn't have done so and then everything goes back to how it was. Problem there is that Diana made her wish while the dream stone was still a stone and Barbara made her first wish while it was still a stone so she still turns into jerk just not an apex predator. That's got to be the dumbest line from the movie which is really saying something. Having only their wishes stay by the end could setup some nice emotional stakes for Diana. The only reason she renounced her wish was because she lost her powers. Leave that angle out of it and she has to make the choice for herself as opposed to basically having no choice. That's what really takes the sting out of her renouncing her wish. She isn't doing it because it's wrong to bring back the dead or use another man's body as a sexual plaything. She's doing it because she can't live without her powers. This way Barbara can choose to stay strong or not. Maybe make her lose something other than her humanity since once she's lost it she's not going to give a shit that she's lost it.

  • ... when she swings with the kids and lets go of the lasso, it is magically on her hip in the next scene ...

  • I really had high Hope's for this movie, but as soon as Steve started flying a plane from the 80s with fuel at a museum is when I started getting turned off. Also Diana wasn't allowed to train at this age in the first movie. Her mother didn't officially allow her to train until she was like 14, but in this her mother is totally fine with her being in a dangerous tournament

    • @Harry Longabaugh Hmm i thought the first one was crap as well...

    • I guess whomever did this movie didnt even bother watching the first crappy wonder woman movie.

    • @Latest Obsession You are 100% allowed to like this film, and there are others like you who clearly not only like it, but love it but that doesn't mean it's doesn't have a lot of problems. It's not nearly as good as the previous film, and this isn't because it's some abstract art film that people just didn't "get", it's a decent film marred with a horrible script. Despite some good performances from the cast, it just can't escape how poorly written this film is.

    • @Latest Obsession "those who didn’t are just more vocal", if that is how you want to justify it, that is fine. Also I didn't use "we". I am just saying, your argument that "people hated this movie because it is different from pervious one", is not true. This movie has glaring flaws and it is just rightfully pointed out.

    • They started filming in Spring 2018 and it was released in December 2020. So all throughout those entire 2 1/2 years, not a single person noticed that giant continuity error that they used the wrong child Dianna actress?

  • Just out of curiosity, did you do 20 because you couldn't think of anything else, or because there's just so much wrong with it you had to put a limit on the list? After seeing it I'm gonna go with the latter of the two. I know I'm curious to know how she managed to look so young for so long but then aged so drastically in a matter of 30-40 yrs!?

  • This is my first time seeing this movie, and I'm glad it was this short. Jesus, what a trainwreck...

  • After renouncing his wish to be the most powerful person, Max Lord gets a free helicopter ride from a classified base back to DC from top secret military personnel.

  • This movie kept making me think of the “and that’s all the movie has to say about that” sin. What happened to Barbara and Max? (Maxwell Lord was his name in the comics, though lots were changed about the character here. I also thought Barbara got killed by electrocution at first. Granted the movie does a shit job of communicating this til Barbara flat out says it, but love wasn’t the reason Diana got weaker, it was Barbaras wish to be like WW. Some sins here I disagree with, but you could probably do an hour long video on this movie. Finally watched it yesterday and overall I thought it was ok, but it really didn’t tell the story I think it wanted to tell well.)

  • "Renounce your wishes." Kids with recently cured cancer/resurrected parents: lmao no

    • @Thomas D "The cost for many would have been the same as Cheetah or similar." Based on what? The cost could just as easily be their health, their youth, etc.

    • @LuckofTheIrish but why she did not get zombie chris?

    • "I cure your cancer. And in return, i take your healt- oh wait"

    • @LuckofTheIrish ah yes but u r forgetting a big thing. without her, the events of BvS would have been different. Maybe batman also would have died but superman would have lived. Then martian manhunter maybe would have helped. see the thing is, with one change LOTS OF stuff change after that and in a story, they really could have made it work however they want. maybe future would have been better without her, which is what im saying. but your thought is true too. it could have been worse. im thinking, hopefully, martian manhunter would have helped and maybe he knows powerful cosmic people he could call, etc. :) maybe someone else gets cyborg? etc maybe there's a character that can scan everything on earth and find the people with powers etc (like a DC version of Silver Surfer?) etc heheeheh :)

    • @StarFyreXXX Well if you rewatch the Snyder Cut (because that's the only version that counts) everyone would have gotten insta killed by Steppenwolf if WW hadn't been fighting him off until them. At the very least Cyborg would have, and then no one separates the Mother Boxes.

  • When Steve was fighting Max Lord, he could've easily grabbed him and wished for Max to Rescind his wish.... but he just punches him a couple of times. That should be another sin

  • One thing i thought as weird is why would everyone need to renounce their wish when max lords wish was to be the stone so if he renouces his wish then only diana and Barbaras wishs would still be active as they came before his.

  • Strong people can have an emotional side.... especially if something bad happened to a loved one.

  • Just saw this today. I like to analyze movies the way this Chanel does and I think this is the first time literally everything I said is also mentioned in the video. Kinda speaks to the train wreck or a story it was

  • So the one thing in this movie has gotten me curious - everyone had to renounce their wish in order for everything to go back to normal right? So...that guy who wished for a coffee at the start, did he renounce his wish? If he did, will the coffee just vanish leaving him still thirsty? And if he doesn't, is the world doomed - just from a cup of coffee?

  • I can't believe I actually liked this movie when I first saw it.

  • Her powers have declined to the point where she can bleed from a bullet... But she can still run faster than a car in a high-speed chase, stop a tank by standing in front of it, discover NEW powers like invisibility and flying... That doesn't make sense. The writers could have turned her into a normal human (interesting to see a god trying to live among humans without her powers) OR go for the fighting and action with a fully powered WW. +3 sins for the fact that a museum doesn't keep its planes fully fueled and ready for take off and even so, they could have never flown from DC to Kairo. Chris Pine didn't have his chance to shine, he is dragged along by WW without actual importance. This was completely different in the first movie, where he guided Diana and helped her understand the world.

  • Seeing Linda Carter at the end is the real Gem. Linda Carter will always be Wonder woman to me.

  • By the way, where did she get those clothes. I mean the ones before she got around with nothing on as a cheetah? She conveniently found a wardrobe that looks like the person she's turning into? It would've been great if she just wore her original clothes. Why be super obvious and have her wear tighter clothes? Give her confidence in who she is. Every time I think back this movie gets worse.

  • Also why isn't Steve freaking the hell out about the fireworks? The last thing he remembers is dying of an explosion in a plane, so you'd think flying directly into explosions... in a plane... might not be a fun time for him

    • @Jai Offord go read the sentence, although my dyslexia did invert my point... Rare is the character that isn't killed, then restored to life in later issues Rare is the being fairly straightforward in stating that such characters are anything other than rare, but are quite common. It reminds me of a MASH episode where a missing and presumed dead Greek soldier was to be recognized for his deeds on the battlefield. At the end, the Greek national anthem was playing and said war hero joined the formation and saluted his flag. Hawkeye's buddy asks Hawkeye, "I thought you said he was dead", Hawkeye replied, "Yeah, he got better".

    • Being a pilot and a human being with common sense, he wouldn't take the chance of even slightly damaging the planes engines by flying thru fireworks. But hey, that's WW so fk apprehension rii 😂?

    • @d1asian We all know that PTSD exists, and Steve Trevor would have referred to it as "Shell Shock". I admit that I haven't watched this movie, and never will, but from what I've seen Steve Trevor showed absolutely no signs of PTSD. As far as the "Earth-shattering Kaboom", I'd imagine he never heard the explosion since he was in the middle of it and would have died instantly. But, assuming that he did hear it, it would have been an exceptionally loud boom that would dwarf the largest firework.

    • @Quirk no but some actual combat vets have a hard time dealing with fireworks when they're back home. I'd imagine it would be pretty bad for a guy who literally died by explosion , especially when it's literally in front of him

    • Are you unaware of when fireworks were invented? And why do you think that Steve wouldn't know the difference between a bomb and a firework?

  • CinemaSins guy: "She's wearing wedges?" Also CinemaSins guy: "No one is more or less valuable based on their footwear choices."

  • The lesson from the beginning would have you think the moral of the story is don't cheat. Except that doesn't really have anything to do with Diana's situation. She loses her powers for whatever reason. I thought when I saw the trailer that when Cheetah got stronger Diana got weaker but I guess that's too complicated. The thing is Diana seemed to have no problem staring into the eyes of the guy that Steve had taken over as they used that body for sex. In the end she only gives that guy his body back because she can't live without being Wonder Woman. If she hadn't lost her powers as part of the trade does anyone really think handsome guy would have ever gotten control of his body back? The answer is no by the way.

  • "Whether or not you can see it, RADAR bounces off metal" RADAR is EM reflections. Light is EM reflections. If it's "invisible" to all EM, then it would be invisible to both sight and RADAR, as they are essentially the same. Also, did you see it go "invisible"? It was more like translucent, man.

  • I found this movie to send out a good message to the audience. Plot was all over the place though

  • The dream stone can materialize things out of nowhere when everyone wished for something, yet it can't just materialize Steve out of nowhere without taking another man's body

    • Easy explanation: The Dreamstone, as a rock, was super weak. It didn't physically materialize a cup of coffee, or Steve's body, rather having somebody hand the coffee to the guy, and using somebody else's body. It was only when Max became the physical host of the Dreamstone that giant walls, missiles, farms, and whatever other madness happened in that movie began to physically appear.

    • @Brad Myers you didnt pay attention to the parentheses. I was refering to the theory that he became the green lantern as a plane explotion/ crash lines up with that origin story pretty well. Thats all.

    • @Lexx Alolia cant/wont amounts to the same thing, the magic doesnt do what you are asking. Aka a zombie isnt alive.

    • @Latest Obsession actually the Genie said "no biring back thedead *turns into a zombie* its not a pretty picture" hes not that he cant its that he wont

  • Funny thing is that Diana was able to enjoy her wish (quite literally) while others enjoyed it for less than a minute 😂

  • Reviewer: "This movie assigns women value based on their footwear! Sin!" Also Reviewer: "Wonder Woman wears wedges and we are supposed to trust her to save us?! Sin!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  • saw what you want... i watched the movie twice and i still think it's phenomenal. still i think your sins are justified.

  • The sin that left my jaw on the floor was when they reused Hans Zimmer's "Beautiful Lie" theme (my favorite piece of movie music ever) from Batman v Superman in the showdown with Lord, just so that Diana could say, "The truth is beautiful."

    • Hans convinced Patty to use it apparently so I can't even it get mad about it 😅

  • " But Steve, you don't have a passport!" No, but the GUY HE'S POSSESSING has a passport! Seriously, it annoyed me how much they glossed over that they just bodysnatched this dude and fucked up his life...

    • @Robert Monroe Yeah Hishie thing was having the guy "I CONSENT", they aren't that funny anymore compared to Trailer Spoof which has more effort behind and made by less peole.

    • @Andrew Watch the HISHE of this. They did the movie a better judgment. And yeah, it's apparent that the screenwriters did not live through the '80s.

    • So...silly point here, back in the 80s only like 10% of Americans had passports. Americans just didn't travel a lot back then and you just needed a driver's license to go to Mexico, the Caribbean or Canada back then. Still, they could have checked...what's worse is a fully fueled up jet is at the museum and somehow has enough fuel to make it to the Middle East. ;)

    • @Der BABA Right.

    • I hate it just because it is so off beat, unnecessary, and just makes the story outright weird.

  • Every video I've seen about this movie has nothing good to say to it and I love it because you can't deny that this movie is hilariously bad

  • 2:43 - Keep up the GREAT work!!!!! I can BEAT this game. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Dates don't really matter in movies, except for Back to the Future lol. I love this channel. You make my day. In a world of darkness, you make me laugh and I learn things too. I will say you have one of the best deliveries in commentary analysis. Do you ever feel like you are screwed though? Like you're stuck with this? hahahahaha.

  • Just literally on the first minute and damn, this is just hilarious. Can't stop laughing

  • ok yes, this movie was a hot mess but I absolutely still adore Diana and Steve...I cried like a baby when she had to say goodbye to him again :(

  • The moment where you realized that Transformers films (that had more screen time with humans) actually showed more action scenes than WW84

    • Now you know its a bad movie XD

  • "I hope you have something nice to wear" - Max survives this 😂

  • 7:13 had me cracking up so hard

  • Personally, I forgave this movie of all its sins the second I saw Linda Carter smiling in that scene.
