  • Bernardo deserves a shout for easily most underrated player in the world rn, maybe not the most end product, but his dribbling, ball retention and off the ball work is out of this world

    • @William Onyango no history

    • Can’t believe people are barely recognizing the amazing talent and ability he has. He’s been in top form these past two years.

    • Not better than kante

    • since his Monaco days he’s been lit🔥

    • Him and Muller fo sho

  • As a Chelsea fan, Man City was really impressive. No KDB, No Grealish, No Foden…. No problem. They still won comfortably vs one of the top clubs in Europe.. Both Chelsea and City have ridiculously deep squads, add Liverpool and what a title race the EPL/UCL is going to be!! Get your 🍿 ready!!

    • Your comment is the most accurate comment that might lead up to become true next season if these clubs Decide to put the effort, all 3 Liverpool, Chelsea and most importantly Man City💪🏽

    • Man city clear

    • They still had mahrez and Sterling

    • It was not a comfortable win. PSG created as many good chances as Man City. The highlights definitely didn't do the game justice.

    • Wanna know why bro bc England had some of the best teams of the world and psg is the farmer league no competition

  • Crazy how City switched gears when PSG scored

    • Really?? They were dominating 90% of the game

    • they were pressuring them the entire game tbf

    • They were already really good before the goal, they dominated the first half

    • @Chimera's Flame XD

    • @Jisces he changed the rest of the game assisted in a way towards the winner too

  • Man city said: the best defense is a good offense

    • Also In any sport: your best offense is a Great defense.

    • @carol gruber everyone was dropping back wdym lmao

    • @Charlie Arnold learned from Tuschel?? The F u talking about?? The complete opposite!!

    • @Norman Williams Ramos Kimpembe. It can also be a back 3 allowing Hakimi to push up

    • @Sidney Abogunde put Marquinhos in midfield and see how much worse the defense becomes.

  • It’s sad to see Messi, Neymar and Mbape just walking from time to time, thus giving their other players much work.

    • As a player myself, do you wanna be running up and down the field the whole game? Lol

    • Real Madrid on top 1# he win 6-5 city 😂

    • Makes me appreciate players like Cavani. His work rate is through the roof he goes from end-to-end the whole game long.

    • Makes me appreciate players like Cavani. His work rate is through the roof he goes from end-to-end the whole game long.

    • I mean they are the super stars

  • What a game a pass from Bernardo, can’t believe at one time people thought he wasn’t going to get any playing time because City signed Graelish. He has arguably been City best player this season so far.

    • Not trash but absolutely not necessary, a waste of 100 mil

    • Grealish is awful compared to Bernardo

  • I love that Man city didn’t give up after that 1st goal

    • @TPSposts You're the one that claimed that City doesn't need a easy bracket to win that it was laughable remember? I don't see City unless its UCL and from I've noticed they miss to many chances where maybe a good striker wouldn't there's q reason why Pep was urging a striker in the beginning of the season because he knew that they needed one its comun sense...Modern football huh? You must be one of those that agreed with the idea of a super league smh what they need is a salary cap and not this financial fairplay bs that doesn't even work and City is the perfect example where they were banned from UCL just to be reinstated down the line so basically if you have money corruption is ok right? This according to your modern terminology of the game smh yet I sound dumb you poor fool smh lmao

    • I believe Man City are the deeper roster, but are also more vulnerable to another PL foe or a Bayern team with the world's best pure goalscorer. PSG are not as good, but have few draws where they can get upset.

    • @TPSposts All the clubs you mention are privately own except Bayern and during this pandemic only clubs with money have kept themselves competitive it's easy when the money keeps flowing but City still needs a striker to become a true threat

    • @TPSposts What's laughable is you mentioning City when I'm talking about PSG. And yes getting a easier bracket is always a lucky moment imagine playing clubs like Liverpool Bayern and Chelsea untill the final there odds of winning decrease dramatically but that's laughable too you whatever that's your opinion

  • It is not about the superstars anymore, just brilliant team work. Well done MC from a LFC fan who appreciates phenomenal football.

    • they was saying psg should just buy pogba and de bryan so that attacks become quicker and vicious

  • Man City just has so much more team cohesion than PSG

    • @Blaine Gunn is

    • @Blaine Gunn could not have said it better myself

    • do you kno why ramos isn’t on?

    • @WetModBob You can thank the pandemic otherwise Messi would never be there and it's clear that he isn't happy

    • @Blaine Gunn Lucky Bernardo Silva is still there he's in good form and has provided the extra skill City needs in offense

  • 2-3 years ago we were only front runners, whenever we’d go down we could never find a way back and the game would be over. But since last year we’ve really started to rally back and fight more in these situations , this team is serious 💙🦈

    • Have you noticed pep changed his tactic style a little bit ?Back then Manchester City just passing around the box or back pass all the time !Now Man City been doing shooting outside of the box or crossing more often than past years!

    • That oil money do wonders

    • we gotta stop calling ourselves shark team after what happened to ben mendy

    • It’s amazing the confidence we have in ourselves compared to before. I’m not sure what changed but a switch was flipped

  • PSG is team full of superstars, city is a complete team big difference

  • Anyone who watched the match knows that City dominated the entire game. They couldve lead as early as the first 10 mins if they weren’t so unlucky

    • Better team won

    • Didn’t watch the game, but even watching the highlights it looks like the final score could have been 5-2 for city.

    • so true

  • MAHREZ everywhere in this video !!! He is almost in every good action, but he is unfortunately underrated !!! Well done Mahrez!!!

    • Man City's attack runs through Mahrez. That's their best player.

  • Bernardo needs a lifetime city contract, What a player 💫

    • @Jude Barton yeah. But if he does want out he deserves it

    • @Semaj daLeao At this rate, with all the love fans have been giving him, I really hope he stays

    • Gundogan too. They’re like city’s version of xavi and iniesta

    • @Romero Ram agreed I’m Portuguese I watch every game. We have so much talent. But Santos tactics are terrible.

    • @Diego M no. Bernardo wanted to leave. Wouldn't know it the way he plays though

  • I feel as though the defeat to Chelsea last year has really inspired these guys to get over the line. They're finally taking their chances and fighting throughout games instead of crumbling like they used to a couple years back.

  • As a Chelsea fan, Man City's play style never ceases to amaze me every single year.

    • You not Chelsea fan if you support mc

    • They still ain’t wining champions league

    • Dude, no one cares that you're a Chelsea fan.

    • This is what old Barca was back then, but even better at holding the ball and scoring IMAGINE THAT sheeeeesh 😭

    • @Bobby Bobbington u don’t gotta make the fact ur mad obvious

  • The amount of flexibility Man City’s midfielder’s have is insane. Mahrez stepping up for De Bruyne.

  • Its amazing that City has that extra gear they can switch into. You think they're already playing really well in the first half and once they concede, they take it up a notch and score 2 back.

    • @Iam Champ I'm not saying City does not have a deep Bench. They absolutely do. Just that it was not the reason for them winning this match. It was the performance of 12 individuals + the coach's tactics.

    • Stop being ignorant city has one of the deepest if not the deepest bench in Europe. They so stacked they don’t have to play Grealish who cost £100m.

    • @Iam Champ Pep literally only made just one change this game. That too of Zinchenko, who hasn't been a usual starter this season. What are you on about?

    • Having a deep bench helps

    • It’s almost like they’re gauging the opponent to see how much energy they need to expend lol

  • no one has mentioned here Mahrez's contribution during the game. His presence an his perfect crosses posed a constant threat to PSG.

  • Watching from the side of PSG, it was just brutal. Everyone seemed confused. 1. On offense, they seem like they're committing to different contradictory game plans, but ending up achieving neither. PSG tried to build up from the touchline through Man City's press, but the midfielders don't come back to help with the buildup, and they don't pass quickly enough to make this style work. But when we DO clear the ball and play long, we don't crowd the midfield enough, which results in us giving away possession cheaply. 2. We need more offensive resources besides counterattacks. There were stretches where we had possession of the ball, but we just couldn't do anything about it for several minutes. We need more crosses from wingers, runs in behind on the defense. 3. On defense, there was not much to say. We don't press the ball enough. And Man City's overlapping runs on the wings are on point. All I can say is I hope Ramos recovers soon.

    • @Michael Lubin The problem is that both messi and neymar both drift centrally in the final third. This was perfectly fine in the MSN era because suarez was a striker who could be a target man or a poacher and also had the discipline to drift wide (to the far post and even to the wing) to create an outlet or drag defenders from congested areas of the pitch. Unfortunately Mbappe is not that player and will never suit the needs of both messi and neymar simultaneously. He also struggles with tiki taka and the 1 touch nature ingrained in the other two. Mbappe is a great player and the top scorer for the team (at the time of my comment), but he is not going to greatly enhance messi and neymar.

    • Messi, Neymar, Mbappe, and... no offense besides counterattacks? This is just bizarre.

    • Give credit to city’s defense. They’re solid

    • They have no midfield, period.

  • Man city were dominant and they played really good especially the first half! They played good after the psg scored! Well deserved for city. Great game

  • A front three of Mbappe, Messi, and Neymar is good on paper, but they'll never win anything if they keep on playing this way. They leave so many areas of the pitch exposed.

    • @Skully Fade Ur kidding right? MSN, especially Suarez and Neymar, pressed like crazy

    • @BIG He is a totally different player, and the best there is in the world actually. Messi is past his prime and ineffectual when it matters, and Neymar is a luxury player.

    • Mbappe will never be as good as Suarez was w/ the trio, and it’s facts.

    • @YslElgard And he was always a effort-focused manager. Like a more well rounded Simeone

    • It's a fantasy football front 3. Doesn't work in real life against quality opposition at the top tier

  • This game was incredible and was amazing this is why city is my favorite team they never give up even against a big team

  • I love you Manchester City, gg PSG but man topping this group was so unexpected, also call us an empty library stadium all u want, the man city fans were absolutely fabulous tonight (ps-we finally didnt get an easy group and yet we still topped it)

    • @John Power I'm not crying for psg as these both teams are stronger because of Arab money. So b**** please. 🤣

    • @Nison Shrestha y u crying g?

    • Arab money

    • Man city way better as team

    • Unexpected? How so? Man city handled psg before it wasn't that hard to predict it whenever psg concede their control is gone

  • Having a coach like Pep,makes great football wherever he goes!

  • The substitution of Jesus was brilliant from Pep he came on and controlled the game

  • Sterling has been putting up a good damn fight to get back into the starting lineup

    • @Renton Tarry actually please reply i want to hear how you try to change the narrative of this one 😂😂

    • He didn't seem very effective overall, despite the tap in. I don't like his decision making relative to quality of most of his teammates.

    • @Renton Tarry nah Sterling is sexy as hell. He just truly tends to play like an idiot when we need him. It seems like his head is out of the game which is okay, it happens to every player, but damn when Sterling isn’t fully there it’s a huge liability. I will say that his form is improving and I’d like for him to continue on this path more than anything. He’s too important of a player for city for his form to be off more times than not.

    • @Bobby Bobbington You people are very selective when it comes to certain players. He is still number 24 on England's all time scoring list and is only 26. I noticed you didn't mention his Premier League goals. Doesn't fit your narrative.

  • Navas, once again, is as solid as steel. It saved PSG from 3 clear goals. What a goalie!!

  • Well deserved City!! 👏🏻 Mahrez controls amazed me tho 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

  • Mahrez was the key player for the city. He found solutions and created chances for the team.

  • Love it when a team plays as a team, it’s very disappointing to see a team with great players not do so well, In my opinion some psg players play to shine, instead of playing together as a team

  • That was fantastic tracking back by Di Maria on city’s second goal. Thanks for the win gents

  • As a City fan, I would've been happy even if City lost this game. It is insane that I've witnessed City dominate 'BIG IMPORTANT' teams over the past 4 years. I know we have not won the UCL and we might not ever win it....but watching City is fantastic!

  • I can tell sterling has been practicing his tap in after that miss a while back🤣🤣

    • He's scored alot of tap ins before that one miss so I don't think that means he had to practice again to be able to score them players miss sitters all the time it's apart of the game

  • Man city deserved to win this game, coming from a psg fan.

    • @DDeglane16 Simply because the critique is errenous. The front 3 have win all the matches PSG have won. The misfield has done nothing to win any games. Only when Veratti plays PSG looks good. All the so called critics are a bounch of 2 faced people. There are also people, Including Jules, who critize the non exisistant Midfield players like DiMeria? what did he do the whole time he was out there.

    • @Writz psg is into the round of 16 no matter what

    • @carol gruber Why are you redirecting the focus on the midfield when the criticism is (rightfully) aimed specifically at the front three, especially Neymar and Mbappe, not contributing defensively?

    • @ALK 03 If you can’t see that Mbappe is a world class, generational talent then I’m sorry your understanding of football is so mediocre

  • Difference between Pep and Poch: - Ped clearly prepared this game. Zichenko starting clearly showed his fear of PSG offense. - After conceding, he realized he didn’t have a choice anymore and went all in by taking off Zichenko, dropping Bernardo for creation, and putting Jesus No.9 to disturb Marqui and Kimpembe as much as possible. - this left Mahrez with more space than he already had. But Pep capitalized even more by making Walker make runs too, bringing the outnumbering he needed. On the other hand, Poch did absolutely nothing to help his game plan: -he got absolutely outplayed the whole game. - his offensive trio was NOT pressing man city players, making it so much harder for everyone else. That’s why by the 60th minute, psg midfield was so tired they could barely keep up anymore. - after taking Herrera, Nuno and Gana out, he should have gone with 3 in the back. And then put Mbappe on the left flank, allowing him to really hurt Manchester on left flank and make runs, while still dropping back to help the defense. And Hakimi could have remained on the right flank and do what he does best. - then Danilo and Paredes could have done their best as defensive/central midfielders. - Finally, messi, neymar, and Di Maria could have done something together, especially with Mbappe and Hakimi also pushing forward. Manchester gave them a tactical lesson today. That’s all there is to it. PSG can never make it by playing like this against top dogs like Bayern or Chelsea.

    • With the Manchester United speculations, I can see Poch's mind is not clear.

    • @Salman Haider they’re leading the premier league and they won champions league last time ?

    • I mean his front 3 don’t press lol, he never wanted Messi or ramos. Any manger is going to have a hard time in psg. Even the Chelsea manager had a hard time

    • Chelsea is no top dog

    • Pochettino can't suceed with PSG he plays a pressing game of football and has no forwards who press so rn he has no real tactics and is letting star power carry him at United yes Ronaldo doesn't press but you get Cavani and co who are hard workers he can fare way better here at PSG he'll inevitably be sacked

  • RESPECT Mahrez! What a worldclass player!

  • Man City play so simple, yet so effective!!!! beautiful football.

  • Another year, another time City topping the group

    • @Tefenii tru

    • And also another year of UCL bottling

    • @Alex Ajanel keep crying

    • @Alex Ajanel i mean ig so but if u watched the first game city dominated still and played better psg got a good goal and then got the pen that’s it

    • @The LegendHimself the away goal rule was meh tbh. A better format would be a double elimination tournament and you have to get top positions in groups to qualify.

  • Look at the work rate City's forwards puts in......Now, look at the work rate PSG's forwards put in. As a PSG fan, that is frustrating to watch. A respectable manager would command more out of those guys especially if they are not scoring at the rates they normally score at.

    • @The LegendHimself I went to a PSG game in America 5 years ago...post-Zlatan pre Neymar and they sold out the stadium quite easily. Being a PSG fan from America is no different than being a United fan from Zimbabwe.

    • @Magic ron ummm they had local fans before the take over definitely not as much but still they had fans

    • As a PSG fan. Mate just say that you're a Messi fan who's supporting PSG right now. PSG don't even have fan before the oil nation attacked lol.

    • @michaelmaccrazy they should just let messi lead midfield but poch tactics still suck so not sure that’d do too much

    • @CAPSLOCK USER he’s a holding midfielder. But you tried.

  • Some of those City passing combinations were just beautiful

  • Well deserved city they played really well 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

  • Impressive games by man city. Dominated the entire game.

  • The ease with which Man City creates high chance goal scoring opportunities is incredible

  • Messi walking around the pitch like he's taking a walk through the park

    • Him mbappe and Neymar literally put no work in anymore

  • City controlled the first 20 minutes or so but PSG struck first and looked to be the equal of City for a time -- and then City took over. They have so much talent it would be hard to bet against them.

  • 1st half city were just on fire. Took some amazing last minute defending to keep it 0-0 going into the 2nd.

  • Messi is like “so this is what it felt like playing against us between 2010 and 2014. Good to know”

    • @carterjmd looking at the way things turned out, I think he should have joined man city, they play the Barcelona tiki taka style which suits him.

    • @YslElgard lol first leg was city’s game to lose. One lucky Psg goal changed the outcome. Don’t fool yourself

    • @YslElgard Nah they would beat city but not wipe them out tbh

    • 🧢 🧢 Barca would wipe man city 8-0 and psg beat them the first leg lol

    • 😂 seriously. Also probably thinking he joined the wrong team

  • Impressive performance by ManCity, what a game from them.

  • Man City play as a team while PSG are just a bunch of extremely talented individuals

  • I’m loving Kyle Walker’s contributions to the attack. He just provides a spark with his pace and unselfish passing!

  • The goal kick right before half time was a real highlight

  • Man City was superior from start to finish. The score should had been more like 4-1 or even 5-1

  • Man City play such beautiful football ⚽

  • Rodri making top class assists as usual!

  • *The quality of this match is astounding.*

  • Got to give mahrez for stepping up and taking de kdb he need more time amazing dribbler and passes

  • What an amazing control by Mahrez.

  • PSG has been so incredibly unimpressive. The positive results they've gotten don't seem reflective of the poor quality of their play.

  • PSG has a problem with defense. They have to work on their defense. Mahrez kept controlling that position with the ball. Poch is not the coach for PSG at the moment. Zidane needs to come in.

  • Hopefully city can win the UCL this year, considering the heartbreak we went through last time around🤣

  • Man city is a bad ass team, always on cue 🤙🏽

  • Mahrez showed his brilliant skills

  • I’m a huge Messi fan but even I saw he went missing tonight

  • Mahrez was amazing this game

  • Such a powerful performance by Man City. This is the besy football in the moder world.

  • 2:30 look at that, thats just shocking. All the PSG attackers standing 5 yards from each other giving Mendes no option. Terrible

  • Very nice chemistry by Man City. Pep got the right players for this game

  • most amazing thing it's not the City's win...It's how Messi was never faulted. That's unheard off ! He's signature move, always dribbling and drawing free kicks around the box, and more often than not , scoring. Not happened with City. Well oiled defense machine Stones and Dias worked like a Swiss clock. Concello and Walker brilliant !

  • Mahrez control is amazing 🤩

  • The amount of missed goals from man city is insane

  • Defenders should force Mahrez to his right, I understand how good he is in general. But, he is too left footed dominant. Still an amazing player none the less.

  • Jesus is a genius! So glad he got another chance to shine. Also, Mahrez put in a ton of work. Solid performance by City

  • Good job for Man City. PSG got a little carried away with the 1st goal. my problem is the Pochettino style is kind of hard for Messi, Mbappe, and Neymar to score when the ball is on the opposite side of the field most of the time Verratti was needed just hope Pochettino learned something and make some changes soon before it's too late.

    • Change to what? they have no good midfield players, except Varetti but he is always injured.

  • PSG might have better individual players but Man City is clearly the better team

  • Even after PSG scored, you knew City were going to win or at least draw in dominant fashion

  • You can have all those stars, I’ll take my TEAM any day! Come on CITY!!

  • Amazing match!!

  • Gabriel Jesus needs to start more. Unfortunate how F. Torres is injured. Tired of seeing us play without a striker. The attack is so much different with a striker

    • Exactly bro it was too easy to defend against us as soon as gabby sub on in the striker role we give psg a lot of problems. Pep needs to play gabby upfront he’s not the best but we need someone up top . I’m getting sick of the false 9

  • PSG really needs a center mid to control and distribute.

  • Man city best tactical style, team play was superb, defense was alright in the first kicked it up a notch second half. Overall man city dominated psg lol can't win relying on speed only, no type of game plan, the will was there the chemistry wasn't psg two thumbs way down on this game. Ramos the only one who will probably put this team together

  • Looking at all the teams finishing top, and 2nd in their groups, city could’ve had a better chance at an easy round 16 draw if they finished 2nd, with Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd (favored) finishing top of their group.

    • Lmao 1st place teams play 2nd placed teams. City would rather be 1st I’m guessing

  • what a great matchup, I noticed that MBappe did a similar "so close" gesture @4:10 that I used to also do when I was playing professional football. Cheers Mbappe with a nutmeg goal and a salute

  • Big statement win for Man City, let’s go citizens

  • If people think Messi passed the ball to Mbappe then its an illusion. Messi's pass was meant for Neymar, the ball fell fortuitously to Mbappe and he nailed it. Looking at the celebration from Mbappe, there are two camps in this team, a camp of 9 vs 2.

  • City played a very good game. PSG needs to work on their defense.

  • If psg had a good coach like pep or xavi to establish good team culture and discipline they would win everything. Their problem is that even though they have the best players in the world they lack chemistry and have too many individuals. Pochettinho isn’t cut out for this type of squad. A good coach wouldn’t allow their front three to just walk around like that.

  • Mbappe's knee slide😯👌🔥

  • City are a complete joy to watch 🔥

  • Man City's back line wasn't great but the midfield fronted the ball well.

  • City was toying with PSG even at first game well deserved win beautiful football

  • Pep Guardiola as a coach makes the difference. Love you Pep !!

  • Mahrez has been sensational these last few games.

  • I love how neymar still looks up to messi and hugged him on his own 4:57

  • The goal from Mbappe 🤩

  • This is the greatest match of this generation of football

  • Killed them with the wing backs!!

  • I’m suprised sterling didn’t just blow that shot wide like usual

  • That set up from Silva 🤌🏼

  • It’s 3:1 that header from achraf is so superb .he saved them
