  • I remember listening to “Fake Your Death” in 2013 and thinking to myself “I need to savor this moment because I’ll never hear a new MCR song for the first time ever again.” I’m so glad I was wrong. Welcome back.

    • speaking of which, nateislame.

    • Ayoo you here after the video you make about how chemical romance ruined your life ( 4 years later ) so I think it doesn't matter welcome back dude

    • @Mel Albuquerque that song title should've been a hint that maybe they'd get back together

    • Same as me but make it helena :')

  • i do appreciate how their "last" song was called "fake your death" now this this is out

    • @pau l ...no it wasn’t lmao

    • We have a revival of the punk and emo scene music of our youth. Let’s celebrate they are back. People come in and out of retirement in the industry to have personal lives. It’s good to have them back.

    • there last song was a cover

    • Omg yeah- Crazy

    • DUDEEEEE 🤯🤯🤯

  • Really interesting to hear elements of their original sound from the first albums.

    • That’s what I was thinking!! 🖤

    • I lost interest in them after their first two albums, love this new song though, reminds me of when I first heard them.

    • It's got me so hype lol. Bullets has always been my favorite album and I never thought we'd get to hear that sound from them again

  • This is the reason I never stopped wearing eyeliner and dying my hair black.

    • I LOVE YOU JOHNNIE

    • @Jay Farley your pfp looks odd, resize it

    • ON GOD

    • now we have an excuse again to say its not a phase

    • JOHNNIE!!

  • Feels like being my teenage self again. This is just insane man. This truly brings back all the wonderful memories I've had associated with MCR. They have left such an impact on the development of who I am today. It's good to be back. I've got my Olde English with me like the good old days. Cheers to you MCR and cheers to you all, my fellow MCR fans. 🍻🍻🍻

    • @Disturbance! At The Dancing Place Cheers mate!!

    • @Leah Orford I hear you there! The MCR phase is back in full swing for me as well. Woo!!

    • Same! I would go through a few little phases of listening to them but thought I was growing out of them being almost 30 now, however they fully have me in a chokehold again and I AM NOT SORRY. Seeing them on Saturday was one of the best things I've ever experienced and fully ready to turn back into a secret fan girl hahaha

    • 🍻

  • this gives me “demolition lovers but make it black parade” vibes. And I’m so here for it!!!

    • @Raccoon 🦝 I agree. It just gives me the feels of the I brought you my bullets album.

    • YES

    • @Amber Hagood I hadn't listened to their new songs until a friend told me they saw them live in Milton Keynes in the last week. I hated danger days honestly the first time I heard it but I grew to adore it quickly and was amazing live 10-12 years ago in Birmingham (jeez I feel old a few years from age 30 now!) I loved foundations of decay first time I heard it! Wish I'd known they were touring in the UK this last week, hope to see them in the years to come for the second time 🤞

    • That's exactly what I was thinking, Oh my god, this is PHENOMENAL!

    • @My_Ch33ms_Røm4nc3 i was thinking the quieter parts reminded me of the songs on I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love :)

  • Gerard Way has always had a brilliant sense for melody. There's always been something special about this band that separated them from the whole "emo" trend in the 2000's. You all remember those bands. We all went through it. A lot of those bands sounded the same. Like they were trying to fit into that emo box. None of them sound like MCR. I'm so glad they're at it again, and can't wait for a new record.

    • Yes mcr is a rock n roll band at heart. Their vision was much bigger

  • Gerard Way: We gotta let the fans know we're back by making a kickass new song. Also Gerard Way: I wanna spend as little on a music video as possible. 🤣🤣🤣

    • yeah cause it was totally his decision /s

    • You know Gerard, this is not his way, you can expect the kick-ass concept. They're probably just not ready to announce a new album or concept because, I've strongly believe they were preparing for that before the virus and they don't wanna rerun.

  • I'M GOING TO CRY MY EYES OUT THEY'RE BACK I MISSED THEM SO MUCH

    • I still can't believe I got tickets for this show in Montréal.

    • I know Im a week late but welcome Bao! Big fan as well??? Glad their back!

    • My heart is with yours as everyone here! 💜

    • Does anyone know what the thingies in the video are?? (Commenting here cause I probably wouldn't get an answer if I made a separate comment lol)

    • The legend of s**x 18yearsold.Monster Snowquens's is my idol. Hes the person I aspire to be, hes my light of day

  • And just as the world was falling apart.. here they are to help ease the pain. 🖤MCR for life.

    • lmfao

    • What if MCR knows more than we think? Is it really just a mere coincidence that immediately after they shocked the world with a sudden reunion, the world was plunged into a global pandemic?

    • Just don't get it twisted...it was done to us..it didn't just happen. That's the story of this place, forever.

  • As many have said it’s like being reunited with a long lost friend. And I’m here for it my fellow elder emo’s. And for you youngster fledgling emos, welcome, to the joy of experiencing brand new MCR releases :)

  • i’m a teenager and i just found my chemical romance. i felt kind of heartbroken that i would never get to see them live. my parents bought tickets. i can’t wait to see history be made

    • @Astra it took me a sec to get this, but this is such a good reference-

    • Same!! I got into them a little more over a year ago and just immediately loved them so much and I knew that reunion tour was eventually going to happen but I never thought I'd be able to go, and I never thought I'd experience the release of a new song. Now I'm seeing them play a whole new song in one week and it just feels right

    • Gerard’s scared of people like you. Stay away from himm

    • same! i’m so glad i found them in time to get excited by a new song coming out!!

    • Doesn’t matter when you find them you are here now and it’s great to have you!

  • Im glad they’re finally getting the credit they deserve. Beneath the emo aesthetic, mcr has always been a ROCK band in my opinion. The Black Parade is a timeless rock opera and it deserves iconic status

    • @Valentina Galante yep yep

    • the aesthetic is part of the art, their images, whether visual or literary, are well above and beyond than those of the majority of bands. Their cohesive philosophy is simply incredible and rare, plus most of their songs are absolute bangers that express their message beautifully

  • New MCR music... I never thought I'd see the day... IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL

    • Same here, never expected new mcr music to come out this soon after they announced the reunion.

    • oh hi lol

    • I already knew ! Mark my words they r pulling a fall out boy watch this be a 3 part album! Fall out boy when they came back dropped like 3 or so albums remember

    • What's up hiddenxperia?!!!

    • Content +18 Barbie.

  • This is what my childhood depression sounded like and the fact I'm hearing it in real time as an adult ten years later feels like a huge victory in every sense of the word.

    • I never got out of it, got worse with having to adult, they are still beyond healing and inspirational

    • I know what you mean, takes me right back to being depressed as a teenager

  • You can tell they're older and more mature, but still with that same iconic sound. So glad to still be here to see this epic come back

  • Lyrics ⭐️✨ See the man who stands upon the hill He dreams of all the battles won But fate had left its scars upon his face With all the damage they had done And so time, with age He turns the page Let the flesh Submit itself to gravity Let our bodies lay While our hearts will stay Let our blood in vein Feel forgotten pain, now If your convictions were a passing phase May your ashes feed the river in the morning rays And as the vermin crawls We lay in the foundations of decay He was there, the day the towers fell And so he wandered down the road And we would all build towers of our own Only to watch the roots corrode But it’s much too late You’re in the race So we’ll press And press ’til you can’t take it anymore Let our bodies lay While our hearts will stay Let our blood in vein Feel forgotten pain And if by his own hand his spirit flies Take his body as a relic To be canonized, now And so he gets to die a saint But she will always be the whore (Let’s flip out) Against fate (Antihero) Against all life (As if it must be pure) Against change (We wander through the ruins) We are free (Fifteen years ago) You must fix your heart And you must build an altar where it was When the storm decays at this dying rate Let it flood, let it flood, let it wash away At last, we’ll stumble through the last crusade When you welcome your extinction in the morning rays And as the swarming calls to lay in the foundations Yes, it comforts me much more Yes, it comforts me much more To lay in the foundations of decay Give up coward!

    • Maybe, I found it like that 🙂 thank you for the question

    • Aren't it should be Get up coward?

  • Getting to hear Gerard sing a new MCR song is a blessing we all do not deserve.

  • Gerard’s got such a fucking incredible and expressive voice man. So good to hear these dudes again

    • They originally broke up because they said Gerard was "overpowering" the instruments. Very upsetting to hear Gerard muffled and grainy like this.

    • I wish they didn't bury his voice so much in the mix.

    • @arbalest T Idk, judging from the live-in-Mexico-City Sharpest Lives, he's incredible live.

    • he's terrible live

  • I’m not even emo but absolutely love MCR. Glad they are back together again. Their old music is some of the best music I ever listened to and this song is great. Amazing comeback song!

    • you don't have to explain urself lol

    • This is the only emo band i liked

    • I could literally not agree more

    • Never emo, yet MCR will always define my teenagehood and, probably, my entire life. I literally adore their music!

    • Same here. Never an Emo, still MCR is that one band I never get sick to. Always blasting their music forever and ever.

  • Such a good song, it’s almost as if they mixed Danger Days and Three Cheers. Its dark, but its so moving. So glad to have them back.

  • Honestly I thought I'd never see the day were MCR would make a new song, sThis song is amazing. It makes me feel like my old self again, Not afraid anymore. Honestly now I'm inspired to be myself again. I wanna go around with black hair and eyeliner and wearing some cat tail and emo clothes. I wanna be myself again. I know I sound dramatic but thank you so much My Chemical Romance, Your really did change my life.

  • It feels like being a preteen again discovering MCR for the first time and binging their playlists and albums and bothering your parents for merchandise. I cannot believe I'm so much older and they posted something new. It doesn't feel real but this song feels exactly like the other ones, the way it evokes such emotion in me. I'm so happy I could die

  • listening to this song feels like hugging an old friend you haven’t seen in years. i’m so proud of all of us for sticking around long enough to be here.

    • I’m crying thank you for this comment. Three cheers to well, maybe not revenge, but for triumph 😤

    • We going no where fast

    • Friends from 2009

    • Love to you all ❤️❤️❤️

    • You totally said it best!

  • i’ve literally never been more excited for a song, mcr has been my absolute favorite band since i was 10. im 17 now, i wasn’t even old enough to remember when fake your death came out. this is my first time seeing them release music ever, and we’re looking at a potential album? i’m gonna actually explode, i can’t wait to see what happens.

  • You can tell they're older and more mature, but still with that same iconic sound. So glad to still be here to see this epic come back

Solid

  • Man I wish my dad could have been around to hear this, he loved MCR.

  • Isn’t it crazy? That everyone the world is hearing this song at this right moment. Life is good. My chem is back!

    • sorry but I only heard it 7 days later :(

    • @Wan Nayli Farzana omg same 😭👍👍

    • I knowww!! i was screaming when this was uploaded Lmaooooo, i missed this Band i never stopped listing to there music and i was littarly screaming {like i said lmmmmaooooo}

    • О даааа! Наконец-то!🙂

    • The legend of s**x 18yearsold.Monster Snowquens's is my idol. Hes the person I aspire to be, hes my light of day

  • My Chemical Romance Leyenda Saludos Desde Ecuador Solo Exitos Yeahhh!

  • Te amo My Chemical Romance, nunca dude que algún día regresarían ❣️

  • this just SOUNDS JUST LIKE THE MCR SONGS WE ALL LOVED! They're back awake and unafraid, unchanged and long awaited

  • Nunca creí volver a escuchar esa hermosa voz nada a cambiado todo sigue igual es perfectamente hermoso.

  • Honestly, MCR keep secrets better than most governments. How do you keep something this grand and glorious hidden??? But now, it's out. And fabulous.

    • @Ninja Tony I think it's more that it was dropped with none of the usual fanfare and build-up that most bands have going into dropping an album--you know, 'PRE-ORDER OUR NEW ALBUM, COMING OUT JUNE 5TH', or whatever. Interviews, press conferences, announcements--they havent really done any of it. We did know about the tour, but, as they had simply announced tour dates, without mentioning new music, there was much speculation and debate (at least on their reddit sub) as to whether it was just a one-time reunion thing, or they were back in business. I rather thought/hoped they were back for good, but they never really specified. Studio time could just have been rehearsal. Either way, I'm just so glad they seem to be back to stick around. They can keep their plans to themselves if they want, I'm just glad there ARE plans :)

    • @sandra Jo Kennedy I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just baffled about your comment. They announced these shows over 2 years ago, in January 2020, and then they were delayed because of covid. And it goes with the territory that a band will release new music before going on tour, that's how the industry works. I can't understand how people are acting like this is out of the blue, because it's not.

    • They kept this song a secret better than I could keep my sexuality secret

    • Just because everyone else takes part in a dick length measurement contest, sharing their unreleased songs to other labels and artists. It's not difficult to privately record a single and keep it on a hard drive.

  • They went from "Gravity don't mean too much to me" To "Let the flesh submit itself to gravity"

  • While listening to this, I often compare it similarly to bohemian rhapsody, the piano intro, runtime, storytelling in each verse, uniqueness of choruses, solo part, and the soft ending. Made my music playlist become alive again.

  • damn, i didnt think i'd be taken back to 2006 today but i'm so fucking happy that i was. this is pure bliss in the form of music.

  • LYRICS(I will update) [Verse 1] See the man who stands upon the hill He dreams of all the battles won But fate had left its scars upon his face With all the damage they had done [Pre-Chorus] And so time, with age He turns the page Let the flesh Submit itself to gravity [Chorus] Let our bodies lay while our hearts we'll save Let our blood invade if I die in vain Now, if your convictions were a passing faith May your ashes feed the river in the morning rays And as the vermin crawls We lay in the foundations of decay [Verse 2] He was there, the day the towers fell And so he wandered down the road And we would all build towers of our own Only to watch the rooms corrode [Pre-Chorus] But it's much too late You're in the race So we'll press And press 'til you can't take it anymore [Chorus] Let our bodies lay while our hearts we'll save Let our blood invade if I die in vain And if, by his own hand, his spirit flies Take his body as a relic to be canonized, now And so he gets to die a saint But she will always be the whore [Breakdown] (Let's flip out!) Against faith (Antihero) Against all life (As if it must be pure) Against change (Wander through the ruins) We are free (The guiltiness is yours) [Bridge] You must fix your heart And you must build an altar where it rests When the storm decays and the sky it rains Let it flood, let it flood, let it wash away And as we stumble through your last crusade When you welcome your extinction in the morning rays And as the swarming calls, we lay in the foundations [Outro] Yes, it comforts me much more Yes, it comforts me much more To lay in the foundations of decay Get up, coward! shout out to the fans that wrote this down on the genius website!!

    • @Strawberry Angelic oo yea most likely I think, hope we get a concept album too tho

    • Also feel it's a protest song with everything that's going on

    • I think the??? Is I die yellow

    • @olleH I changed it!

    • I thought the [?] sounded like "storm decays" but it honestly could've been anything else

  • Stunning return. They've found their passion for music again. Gerard's haunting voice just makes my soul weep. Incredible.

  • Finally finished learning this on guitar… it is so satisfying to play and incredibly well written. Honestly cannot find the words to describe how much I’m in love with this song

    • The type of song that makes you want to take the dusty guitar out of the closet, always a good sign.

  • Te amo mucho MCR 🥺😭❤️❤️❤️

  • Can we appreciate all the different languages in the comments showing how universal this band is and how big a deal this is!!!

  • Does this make anyone else think of "I bought you my bullets, you bought me your love"? I'm so happy they went back to their old sound. I love this so much.

  • I didn't realize there was pressure on my shoulders until I listened to this song and felt lighter. No wonder I listened to them so much growing up 💕

  • After 20 years of knowing this band and never really getting into them.. As a true metal head.. I will say.. bravo Gerard. This song fuckin slaps.

  • I've not listened to my Chem since I was last saw then live in 2011 over 10 years ago, i had all thier albums at one time. I went back to heavier music and down the 80s metal lopehole. Yes I was upset to hear they split in 2013. To hear this now 10 years later is so refreshing and love how much it sounds like their first album give me your bullets

  • I’m such a different person from who I was back when I used to listen to MCR way too loud in my headphones and wear all black every day… and yet, their music will always be a part of me, deep in my heart… it’s such a comfort to hear new music from them, it feels so bittersweet 💖

  • i was so afraid of listening to this song when it first came up. i finally did it, and honest to god im so fucking emotional right now. such an amazing song... like it really does feel like something that has been created by my chemical romance. i was afraid this song would straight up suck, but i knew deep inside me that gerard wouldn't disappoint. and he certainly didn't, because the lyrics are incredible. this is mcr, you know what i mean? they've evolved without losing their essence. i don't understand why people hear this song and think about three cheers for sweet revenge, or even welcome to the black parade. in my opinion this has ibymbybmyl vibes. it has specifically reminded me of demolition lovers, my favorite song out of all the songs they have. anyway, i missed them. i remember 2019 and how much i cried when i found out they were reuniting. please, for the love of god, mcr come to Argentina. ive been to frank's concert here and it was -and still is, mind you- the best day of my life. i need to see them together at least once.

    • same

  • As someone who didn't get into MCR until after their breakup, I never thought that I'd get to experience this! I'm so excited!

    • Same and idk I feel happy

    • @GhostInTheNoice no...?

    • They originally broke up because they said Gerard was "overpowering" the instruments. Very upsetting to hear Gerard muffled and grainy like this.

    • SAMEEE

    • ME TOO IM SO EXCITED IM IN TEARS RN

  • I always knew they were coming back, the moment I found this song was one the of the best moments of these past years, MCR is something I can't describe, Gerard way is one of my heroes

  • Something about this song makes me feel like Gerard wrote it about himself but telling a different story at the same time

  • I remember getting goosebumps and absolutely sobbing when Fake your Death came out. this honestly brought me back to a piece of myself I lost touch with, bc here I am nearly 10 years lately crying again. Welcome back 🖤

We go McR!!!!!

  • Does anyone else feel that this sounds both fresh and comfortingly nostalgic at the same time?!? It's good to have you back mcr.

    • its this strange mix between the 2 and i want to cry??? help??

    • It most certainly does and I've missed it so much my emo hearts breaking and screaming in pain and joy over hearing this. Something about this is literally more different. Like he's been working on himself and had hit the same growth stage as all of us did finally. Which this came out AMAZINGLY.

    • it reminds me of the sharpest lives but I can't put my finger on why

    • right, this has such a timeless vibe to it already.

    • @Zsomle Diana my thoughts exactly!

  • It's so refreshing to hear their music again.

  • My daughter introduced me to these nearly 20 years ago. We are both going to see them soon. Yaaay!

  • I never thought in my lifetime I'd see My Chemical Romance release a new song, as I was not old enough to listen to them in their prime (turning 14 this summer) so this is probably the coolest thing ever, the song is so powerful and great, I absolutely love this song so much

  • Wait what?! I’m so hyped for this! Let’s go! _honestly felt like I went back in time to 2007 listening to this

  • It truly is like being with an old friend. I feel like I've been transfered back to my old bedroom. I can't help but to bring up a few years and tears everytime❤️ Thank you for being our best friend

    • I couldn't describe the feeling better myself! ❤️ It takes you right back instantly

  • *L y r i c s* [Verse 1: Gerard Way] See the man who stands upon the hill He dreams of all the battles won But fate had left its scars upon his face With all the damage they had done And so with time, with age He turns the page Let the flesh Submit itself to gravity [Chorus] Let our bodies lay While our hearts will stay Let our blood invade If I die in pain Now, if your convictions were a passing phase May our ashes feed the river in the morning rays And as the vermin crawls We lay in the foundations of decay [Verse 2: Gerard Way] He was there, the day the towers fell And so he wandered down the road And we would all build towers of our own Only to watch the rooms corrode But it's much too late You're in the race So we'll press And press 'til you can't take it anymore [Chorus] Let our bodies lay While our hearts will stay Let our blood invade If I die in pain And if by his own hand his spirit flies Take his body as a relic To be canonized And so he gets to die a saint But she will always be the whore [Bridge] (Let's flip out!)

  • Getting to hear Gerard sing a new MCR song is a blessing we all do not deserve.

  • The way this brought shivers to my core conjured up all the times I tried to bury the sadness with MCR in the headphones. We are still here. We made it.

  • This is legitimately one of the most exciting moments in music history

    • @zach weaver exactly. I get that people are excited, but calling this one of the "most important moments in music history" is nuts. There are so many legendary moments that are literally in history books at this point, this is a blip on the radar.

    • You mean worst 🤣

    • @Sam G if you weren't alive when he did the Moonwalk then you wouldn't get it.

    • In my life

    • You haven’t lived very long then

  • This is one fantastic song. Love the feelings it evokes: weariness, persistence, determination, so much

  • MCR are so good at telling a story it's tremendous!

  • Hearing this more and more the words tear me in silence while i smile teary.

  • I WENT TO THE CONCERT YESTERDAY! IT WAS AMAZING XX I WAS SO EXITED TO HEAR ABOUT IT I JUST HAD TO BOOK TICKETS WITH MY FRIENDS XX

  • Lyrics: See the man who stands upon the hill He dreams of all the battles won But fate had left its scars upon his face With all the damage they had done And so time, with age He turns the page Let the flesh Submit itself to gravity Let our bodies lay While our hearts we'll save Let our blood invade If I die in vain Now, if your convictions were a passing faith May your ashes feed the river in the morning rays And as the vermin crawls We lay in the foundations of decay He was there, the day the towers fell And so he wandered down the road And we would all build towers of our own Only to watch the rooms corrode But it's much too late You're in the race So we'll press And press 'til you can't take it anymore Let our bodies lay While our hearts we'll save Let our blood invade If I die in vain And if, by his own hand, his spirit flies Take his body as a relic To be canonized, now And so he gets to die a saint But she will always be the whore (Let's flip out!) • Not all heroes wear capes

    • @Brian BigBoss how do you know

    • This is insanely close, but he definitely says 'If I die in PAIN.'

    • @Ashofscraps I actually just copied and pasted them from Genius Lyrics!

    • HEROE

  • i can't stop listening, been looping non-stop for the past 24hours

  • This is a dream coming true to all fellow emo teens who never thought we would hear a other new MCR banger 😭👏

  • Owwwn 🥺🥺😭 I thought I will never have the opportunity of listening a new song from the band that got part of my life 🖤 más que feliz desde Honduras escuchando esta hermosa canción 😍🇭🇳 saludos!

  • In a billboard full of hip hop and rap I'm glad to hear some rock again. MCR please resurrect Rock

  • [Verse 1] See the man who stands upon the hill He dreams of all the battles won But fate had left its scars upon his face With all the damage they had done And so time, with age He turns the page Let the flesh Submit itself to gravity [Chorus] Let our bodies lay while our hearts we'll save Let our blood invade if I die in vain Now, if your convictions were a passing faith May your ashes feed the river in the morning rays And as the vermin crawls We lay in the foundations of decay [Verse 2] He was there, the day the towers fell And so he wandered down the road And we would all build towers of our own Only to watch the rooms corrode But it's much too late You're in the race So we'll press And press 'til you can't take it anymore [Chorus] Let our bodies lay while our hearts we'll save Let our blood invade if I die in vain And if, by his own hand, his spirit flies Take his body as a relic to be canonized, now And so he gets to die a saint But she will always be the whore [Breakdown] (Let's flip out!) Against faith (Antihero) Against all life (As if it must be pure) Against change (Wander through the ruins) We are free (The guiltiness is yours) [Bridge] You must fix your heart And you must build an altar where it rests When the storm decays and the sky it rains Let it flood, let it flood, let it wash away And as we stumble through your last crusade When you welcome your extinction in the morning rays And as the swarming calls, we lay in the foundations [Outro] Yes, it comforts me much more Yes, it comforts me much more To lay in the foundations of decay Get up, coward!

    • THANK YOU

    • bless you

    • An altar where it rests? I also think it could say "where it is", which has more sense too.

    • Thank you! I’m at the train station and there’s too much background noise to hear properly rn!

    • I really feel like the lyrics actually say pain instead of vain. Specially because of the explosion while sayin "if I die in ppppain" 😅... Also I hear "while our hearts will stay"🤔 and actually its got more sense to me.

  • i was obsessed with this song the second i heard it. ive been thinking about the lyrics and melodies and the atmosphere for the past 10 days all the time !! this is such a phenomenal piece of art. im beyond happy and grateful to hear something this moving from my favorite musicians of all time.

  • I thought I wouldn't hear that familiar voice again. What a year of comebacks this has been.

  • Bring back rock. I miss this. Im 50 years old and I loved the 90s and early 2000s music. The best rock bands. Everyone let these bands how much we miss this kind of music. Let's bring it back

  • Never thought I'd hear MCR adopt shoegaze influences to this extent but I am 100% here for it

  • See the man who stands upon the hill He dreams of all the battles won But fate had left its scars upon his face With all the damage they had done And so time, with age He turns the page Let the flesh Submit itself to gravity [Chorus] Let our bodies lay while our hearts we'll save Let our blood invade if I die in vain Now, if your convictions were a passing faith May your ashes feed the river in the morning rays And as the vermin crawls We lay in the foundations of decay [Verse 2] He was there, the day the towers fell And so he wandered down the road And we would all build towers of our own Only to watch the rooms corrode But it's much too late You're in the race So we'll press And press 'til you can't take it anymore [Chorus] Let our bodies lay while our hearts we'll save Let our blood invade if I die in vain And if, by his own hand, his spirit flies Take his body as a relic to be canonized, now And so he gets to die a saint But she will always be the whore [Breakdown] (Let's flip out!) • scary thing is gerard was there the day the towers fell

    • It's even better now that I read all the lyrics. Thank you :>

    • You deserve heaven

    • Thanks for this!!!

    • I think it’s “the last crusade” not “your last crusade” towards the end there.

  • Blessed to be in the car when this BANGER hit the radio as a premier on my Bday on KROQ. Listening with headphones and hearing every detail is insane. MCR welcome back

    • @kayla thurmond it honestly is

    • Reminds me so much of Hesitant Alien

    • @Kelly M. it's like a perfect example of their careers.

    • @Kelly M. I agree it's a bit similar to Bullets in style, but more polished or something! There's kind of a mix of everything which makes it sound totally new to me.

    • Revenge meets Conventional Weapons

  • I'm having to stop myself from crying 😂 I'm too excited to see them Saturday, the closer it gets omg, I'm going to be sick with excitement!
