  • Don't watch this reaction/director's commentary it's no good:

  • Alan Becker alone can do better animation than most animation studios.

  • The fact all of the commands are accurate to the game is a super nice touch.

  • THERE IS SO MUCH TO DISCUSS-

  • One thing I love about Allan is that he knows when animating/showing something is needed. He doesn't waste your time by showing something that already happened to another character but just different colors. Can't commend him enough

  • Let's take the moment to appreciate how effort he puts into the content for us

  • This is better than any film I've ever watched!

  • Wow

  • These videos done by Alan are truly amazing. He has an incredible talent most people dream they have, one that he does so effortlessly and consistently. The colors, the choreography, the story and the music are wonderful and well executed.

  • The "sky" block Green was trying to break was very difficult to do so, because it was made of obsidian, as it is shown afterwards. Really appreciate that attention to detail!

  • Alan, you killed it. You seriously knocked it out of the park. I mean, this short stick figure animation based in a video game with no talking is more complex, creative, original, and overall compelling than most oscar-winning movies. There is no way you could have possibly made this any better, its perfect. And the fact that you, along with only several other animators and story boarders, made something of this magnitude? I am beyond impressed. Much respect man, can't wait for the next one.

  • Alan, you deserve every praise in this world.

  • it never ceases to amaze me that even without faces or voices, these characters can use their body language to be some of the most expressive animated characters I've ever seen.

  • I got to give it to Alan here, great story telling, animation movement, and well timed music/choice of sound design, to portray emotions the characters are feeling or saying. All with no use of voice acting, it can be a monumental task doing all this so props to you sir, well done!

  • The musical score for this episode is phenomenal! Scott outdid himself on this one!

  • How does someone make me feel sad using stick figures that don't even talk?

  • The music added so much more to this animation. I especially loved the part inside the looping mini-parkour sectors with the creepy violin music as it really reminds me of Half-Life: Alyx's music while inside the combine vault.

  • ...This is NOT how we expected parkour to work according to our Mirror's Edge training.

  • Perfect. This is majestic, this should be on TV 💯

  • this episode was INCREDIBLE I can’t even begin to explain. first of all the music directing was perfect and highlighted every scene, it goes a long way in showing how much music can bring something together and give it a lot more emotional weight. i’m not lying when I say I felt genuinely scared for green when they got captured, and the music during the purple/green fight scene was epic! i genuinely don’t know why people are so into dsmp when this is just the epitome of minecraft being used in a creative way to tell an engaging story
