  • Cautiously optimistic, I'm seeing alot of things I've wanted in the series

    • Always a lot never alot

    • Regardless, I can’t wait for your Side of Salt video on this game.

    • @numaTruehome 100 bro chill is just a joke

    • @TUI_Alexander While I could see Scott getting paid for some positive PR… benefit of the doubt?

    • How much did they pay you to say this? 💀💀💀

  • 10:15 love how after your Pokémon is knocked out it turns its attention straight to you. I can feel the ‘Youre next’ vibes he’s sending out. I’m not sure if they’re even in this game, but since this takes place in the past I’m super curious about some of the early Artificial Pokémon, like Baltoy and Golett. If crafting is a thing... wouldn’t it be cool if you could craft these types of Pokémon?

    • I totally feel the your next vibes as well

    • There is currently a Hisui Voltorb, which is made of wood, much like a Poke Ball in this game. Though I doubt you'll literally "craft" a Pokemon

  • Even if this doesn’t end up being practically perfect, it’s a step in the right direction. I’m very excited to see where this goes!

    • @Nox_Interitus254 It’s probably just because the recent Pokémon games have been less then good to say the least especially from a triple A developer. Graphics aren’t really the most important thing in a videogame but this is a videogame from the highest selling videogame franchise of all time and it looks like someone slapped shaders on a 64 game. The fact that botw came out on the same system means this game has to compete with that level of graphics. Lastly it just looks empty and another cashgrab by Pokémon. Who knows tho, we’ll see when it comes out but it’s probably gonna be doodoo.

    • I’m glad so many people remember what PS1 and PS2 graphics look like to be able to say this game looks bad. It’s really not that bad graphically speaking, but games are defined more than by their graphics. If that’s all that bothers you about it, get the chip off your shoulder. It looks like it’s going to be a fun game

    • Yes this is the right direction to make great PS1 games

    • I kind of just hope that it's fun enough for them to make another game that fixes the issues that this will probably have

    • hell no this shit looks nasty

  • I always dreamed of different types of Pokémon in the wild being aggressive or docile for future Pokémon games. But instead of just different species of Pokémon, it should be a Pokémon’s nature that determines how they react in the wild. For example, an adamant or lonely natured Pokémon should be overly aggressive in the wild. That way you can determine if you want to catch it instead of wasting resources and energy mindlessly catching several of the same Pokémon to obtain the nature you want.

    • @LordMagikarp I use Kelvin 🧠

    • The whole point of the game is to catch multiple of the same pokemon tho...than again what can you expect from a pokemon fan. Nothing but room temp iq's from these losers

  • For what It's worth, I'm glad to see the main series sticking to its roots and evolving at the same time!

  • I like the emphasis on your player being a researcher first and foremost. It's a subtle change that fits better with the concept of catching pokemon and exploring the world

    • Apparently they're 15 years old which still keeps it child accessible but also let's them make the characters look and act a lot older, its totally a needed change with how much of the fanbase has grown up and the researcher aspect is such a subtle thing that makes the game feel a lot more serious

    • Itll get boring and repetitive AF real fast if that's all you're going to be doing

    • Its seems boring

    • This game looks like trash

    • This is mindless. Battling other trainers IS pokemon...

  • I like the changes, would've liked more interaction with the village like building it up and whatnot, but I absolutely love that now the trainer has a more involved action. Maybe someday trainers could make pokemon really unique with actual literal training rather than just having their pokemon smack against others, that'd be the dream.

  • I love how Breath of the Wild influenced over more Nintendo games. The music at the Fields, the sounds piano made at the beginning of a Noble Pokémon Battle, Just like a guardian encounter, the sound of the wind while you are walking by... this is a fresh change to the Pokemon franchise.

    • @Toni Sangervasio yes! For people who played Breath of the Wild, the game will be easy to catch! A lot of similar mechanics

    • The map looks so similar to Breath of the wild 😱

  • I love how you can do more with the trainer in combat and catching. Honestly everything looks so great that at this point it feels too good to be true, which is why I’ll wait for reviews to see if this is truly what we’ve been waiting for

  • I'm so excited for this game! I love Gen. 4, and I'll absolutely be binging this game with my two top-favorite buddy Pokemon (Lopunny and Mismagius) on my team. 💜

  • Haven’t been this excited about a Pokémon game in almost a decade

    • @Edwin V There are abilities homie

    • @_Theo no

    • @bloodofdepanta Hey stop asking question and Consoooom

    • @Saltator you too

    • @Kvng There have been alot of other reasons why people startint to call out the company after Sword and shield was published. An pokedox which were cut in half, false promises with the open world areas, lazy animation, content stuck behind a pay wall as well properly being able to Trade online and many more reasons. It was justified in my opinion and this game looks more promising than the games before in my opinion. Not becausw they show us epic pokemon or story but because they listened to the shoutout and tried something completely new which contradicts their policy. It seems like something fresh and new and I can‘t wait to see how it evolves.

  • I recently completed an Animal Behavior course in college and I love how much this game incorporates activities and techniques similar to those used by actual researchers in the field! It’s nice to see that recently the natural/non-battling side of pokemon has been emphasized by the Pokemon Company, both in this game and with the release of the new Pokemon Snap.

  • Because of the open world aspect I’m looking forward to seeing how nuzlockes will work with this if there are no specific routes

    • 😂

    • @Dig Treace confirmed open world. initially, everyone thought so too. maybe 2-3 months ago. nintendo/pokemon went up in arms saying it was more like monster hunter.

    • @Zelda Maniac Oh ok

    • @Dig Treace it's confirmed that it's not open world.

    • @Rose Strohm Are you sure? I definitely thought it was a completely open world

  • Oh my god. There’s actually cutscenes. There’s not just a black screen saying “oh wow so that’s what the shinx’s ears look like” It’s so simple but so so needed. This makes me so happy.

    • Shouldn't need a cut scene, player should just throw the ball out near the guy.

  • I’m happy about the direction the franchise is going in, and I hope they add different habits and interactions the pokemon can have, see monster hunter world for examples, where u kinda have to study a Pokémon’s behaviors in order to catch it, I think it would fit the researcher thing their focusing on

  • so far the most interesting aspect is that your pokemon dont fight in a background like other games, it all occurs in the overworld which in my opinion makes for a great scenic view.

    • @Joseph Joestar baby steps bro

    • @just a guy They're pretty much a billion dollar company and own one of the highest grossing media franchises ever, so they can afford it. The main issue with them is time, because they don't always like to spend their time developing some of their games and prefer to rush them.

    • @LP.Skates Not possible for Game Freak you mean, because they want to release a game every other year lol. On another note, Game Freak has done that before with Pokken. You're complaining about it not being possible while the main issue is that what he's suggesting breaks the atmosphere of the game, as you usually play from the perspective of the trainer.

    • @LP.Skates are you dumb it’s not “impossible” many games could pull it off. It depends on how much time and effort they put into the game. They wouldn’t have to make a new move for every Pokémon they would simply use the same moves like we always do. Except each Pokémon can move, dodge, block etc.

    • @Mr.Diesel Dissidia 1 and Duodecim are similar to what you want. NT not so much. 1v1 fighting game built upon the mechanics of final fantasy. Has assists, conditional summons, customizable movesets, levels, literally thousands of gear options.

  • this looks interesting! i like the quest system and the resource/crafting system, and i like the idea of being able to sneak up and catch pokemon without battling. the move style system is interesting too. i'm hoping that the addition of quests and the premise of being a researcher will be a nice change from the gym system, which was getting pretty old! (literally, like...i was 6 when i played Blue and i'm turning 30...it was getting really old...)

    • @Phoenix well I started with Red. When I was 6.(1999).😎

    • the pokemon league gym challenge will NEVER get old. coming from someone who played silver at 6

  • I see it as moving in the right direction, but having tons of falling short or straight dumb elements to it as well. Give it a game or two, because they seem to move EXTREMELY slow and cautious as if they were some new and poor indie company that cannot afford the slightest of missteps... Plenty of good things though, so there is potential. Wish they did this sooner, but hey better late than never I suppose... Negatives, the customization just seems like a ton of the same outfit but differently colored... Why not just make it a outfit and then add a color option for each outfit instead? Seems like the ridable pokemon are stuck to specific pokemon, kinda lame. If I was a fan of one or the other and that pokemon fits the role it would be nice to ride. Remember seeing rapidash and Dodrio ridden in the series, be cool to ride them for example as long as it makes sense. Looks a little barren. Several other issues too, but nothing too major considering I am expecting this to basically just be them trying the idea instead of truly fleshing out and committing to it yet. I like this setting and theme, but I honestly kinda just wish it was a more modern setting like the series with ash and all that, or a fresh start beginning with a reimagining in open world 3d of the pokemon red, blue, yellow games. Then expanding down the line, or maybe even a brand new region. Honestly though, idk if I need any new pokemon or anything for now. I would just love seeing my classics/existing ones but in the new gameplay style and expanded on for a bit until they got it figured out more. Got plenty of pokemon as is, no problem to slow down on them a little.

  • I'm so confused about the aesthetic and timeline but this game looks really cool

    • Time Travel has been Confirmed

    • The MC is a time traveller

    • It takes place hundreds of years ago in what becomes Sinnoh, the existence of the Rotom smartphone annoys me for this reason though.

  • Im genuinly excited because i feel this has alot of the same style like monster hunter, in the sense of going into different areas, accepting missions and requests, and crafting clothes and items :D

  • It'd be awesome to find hidden towns that weren't known to be on the map. Imagine finding a ghost town flooded with ghost type pokemon while trying to discover why it turned out that way. Would love that. Did not expect this many likes on such a simple comment.

    • @EDDY GOLDER I swear, it’s not Nintendo making these decisions, it’s The Pokémon Company, Nintendo doesn’t actually make any of the decisions that go into these games. But every damn time a Pokémon game comes out, it’s always “Nintendo…” this or “Nintendo…” that, it gets old real fucking fast.

    • @Twiglet in the previous trailer you can see a village with Hut houses in a background in a single frame. So there will be villages apart from the hub town

    • Keep dreaming my friend, 😉

    • The story would be s tribe that hunted and at Pokémon. The ones they got turned into ghost type to drive make them dead for revenge.

    • Lavandonia intensifies

  • I've genuinely never been more excited for a game

  • Love this direction, thank you team. Probably needs a few more iterations but this is the best way to leverage your IP moving forward.

  • This is the first time I've had high hopes for a Pokémon game. I'm usually only interested in the new Pokémon in each game, but this time I'm really liking the new style of gameplay as a whole, it looks fun.

  • I think this and normal Pokémon should switch out every game this concept seems good and a step in the right direction but normal Pokémon can’t be abandoned.

  • Really looking forward to this. I think it's gonna be just the right way to shake up the series and is looking like it'll be right up my alley!

    • Bought channel

    • @Family guy full episodes Damn it shut up

    • ok then read my name

    • I Make Funny Skits And Have TO MAKE U LAUGH OR MY MOM Will Send Me Back To Africa 👀!!👀

    • Look, if you’re a bot, you’re not looking forward for anything, okay? So shut up.

  • I am really excited to try this game! I've been holding back from pre-ordering, but I might end up buying it the day before release, since that'll be my ~payday~ I know it's not going to be a perfect game, no game is, but this is such a bold step in a new direction for Pokemon, I can't help but get at least a little hyped.

  • Very split on this game. I do like the new direction they have gone with and I will be keeping an eye on it. Not going for a day one buy though as pokmon hasn't had a title I enjoyed since ORAS launched in 2014. I am hoping they really do something good this time but I am being careful not to get too excited.

    • Only if I see reviews from reviewers I trust giving it 9/10 will I get this game. Looks too boring otherwise

    • Excited*

  • I really feel like they could’ve done more with the textures and graphics overall, or they could’ve delayed it a bit and put some more money into it. Other than that the concept is cool, the world looks interesting and i cant wait to play it

    • @Gabriel Michael regardless of whoever is in charge, they don’t see the full potential of the title then

    • @Kage57 what ever you say 🤣

    • @LSD-2-C-B Nintendo is not in control of stuff like that, Pokémon may be a Nintendo exclusive series, but the Pokémon Company has always been the ones in control of choices like that.

    • @SkullerClawer Bandicoot im pretty sure anyone would care about graphics in a game, have you not seen what people first said online when they saw the textures of sword and shields trees? Stuff like that goes to show that people do actually care about graphics and what the game looks like, i really shouldn’t have to explain why people would a game to look good. As for when i said its the same thing that was a mistake i made and i dont mean that part of the message.

    • @Myth. Dude, this isnt a stinkin remake genius, its a completely different formula. Crap, nobody cared bout the graphics in Pkmn for YEARS and now y'all want Sonic Unleashed graphics on a portable Xbox 360, like when did anyone CARE and acting like if its not insane, its automatically lazy

  • This game really needs to do well. With so many recent releases Pokémon just seems washed up. Glad there have been improvements since when we first saw the game cause it looked terrible. They better make sure the game runs smoothly and has lots of content, and please make this a game that doesn't require DLC.

  • Kubfu definitely comes from the ancient Sinnoh region. “Agile Style” and “Strong Style” are just Rapid Strike and Single Strike. Kubfu evolved in Urshifu by mastering these styles along side humans and surpassing their skills

    • @kelszagas 1 you have 117 less 2 That’s not answering me correctly

    • If you’re using pc, you can skip ID-tv ads in less than a second by clicking on the video, then clicking ⬅️ and then clicking ➡️. Note: This does not work on mobile.

    • @Super Moustache Gamer with that mere 117 subscribers lol you should be honored at the fact that I’m even acknowledging your buffoonery

    • @kelszagas Yet you also have to because I asked you to

    • @Super Moustache Gamer I don’t have to, never said he was 💡

  • At the very least, I hope this game sets a new precedent for future Pokemon titles.

  • Can’t be the only one losing my mind over this it looks so good!!

  • What if you pull two aggressive Pokémon at once? Or are they awkwardly spread out enough so that can’t happen? It kind of looks like Pokémon snap but instead of taking photos you catch as many Pokémon as you can.

  • Hmmm, while I am happy that combat is definitely getting more strategic with combat mechanics, it still seems like the problems in mainstream Pokémon combat is still very much present in this one. You can still lose in just one hit because your opponent is a specific type and has a super powerful move advantage. That and movement in combat is still limited to turn based options, the style thing does help a little bit, but that doesn’t seem to mitigate the issues from the base combat system. Though the way you fight Nobile Pokémon is very different from how you battle every other pokemon, like almost exactly the way I’ve always wanted combat in Pokémon to be like, more strategic options and movement, but this is definitely a step in the right direction as it is now. Also, the move pool is still limited to four moves, buuuut the style system would definitely give those four moves a wider range of utility. But with combat still stuck to turn base and not much else that can be done to effect combat, I don’t know. I mean yes, you go into a fight 10 levels lower than you should in a turn based rpg, prepare to have your will tested, that feels like a given. Four moves in a turn based system, prepare to have your inventory and knowledge of the items tested cause you can’t do much else to effect combat. But this is very much a good breakthrough to having a more in depth battle system for Pokémon, that makes me quite happy.

    • @WolfyYt yes, but really no, it’s not even the length of a cover page.

    • L O N G

  • Really hyped for the game, just a bit scared the world is gonna feel empty if there’s not enough variety or natural storytelling. The openness is bound to be compared to BotW, now it’s hoping Hisui doesn’t feel boring when compared to the immersive and well designed hyrule

    • @Lit af yes i own a pc. The comparison is between phone and switch, pc destroys them all so why even talk about that? Phones are way better than switch, can do 120 fps and run games like PGR and Genshin beautifully. Companies are actually having trouble porting their mobile games to switch precisely because of the inferior hardware.

    • @mojojo uh no that’s what you think 😂 do you own a PC? A phone is a shitty pc no matter how “good” the phone is. A switch is in between a phone and a pc, not worse than a 20$ to make iPhone from China 😂

    • @mojojo I don't know what AR is, so I can't answer that. All I get when I google it is augmented reality, and I don't think that's what you mean.

    • @Rubywing4 whats your AR? Anyone who is ar55+ probably wouldn't say what you are saying.

    • @Lit af what? Maybe the really cheap ones. But phones nowadays are powerful af.

  • i can tell building a team in this game will be the most fun i've ever had

  • If this ends up being really good, I wouldn't mind future mainline games trying to implement similar mechanics. I think that would be a breath of fresh air, honestly.

  • I can't wait for this game. However it will turn out, this is the right step! Sometime in the next years, we will be able to play a Pokémon game that's worthy to be one forever! A game that really makes us feel like we're part of a big wide world, full of Pokémon! I can't wait for that time to happen! 🤩😍

  • Every trailer I see makes me more interested, can’t wait to try it!

  • I don’t expect this to blown our minds and be that amazing, but there’s a HUGE potential for future games if they decide to keep heading this direction.

    • @Stein Codes Right. I love Gen V and still do.

    • @Stein Codes But not in this case, since at least with Bethesda, they directly oversee and involve themselves with the process, but Nintendo only promotes the games that are made by Game Freak which are overseen by The Pokémon Company, it also doesn’t really show any motivation since it’s really only Pokémon that has this sort of reputation, further showing Nintendo having less direct involvement as opposed to something like Kirby or Metroid.

    • @Reform party Well just look at any other Pokemon game, no one has been playing them for their bleeding edge graphics. It's about the experience and gameplay(world design, battles, story etc.) Best was Black and White it introduced various types of battles added alot of fun stuff overall, also a fairly good story.

    • @Gabriel Michael The Developer is Game Freak, the publisher is Nintendo sub brand of The Pokemon Company. And people blame Bethesda(Publisher) for bad Fallout 76 not specifically the studio that made it. It's a first party title and it directly represents Nintendo's motive, and evolution. From weird Wii based titles to more bland modern Pokemon games. So yeah it's got everything to do with Nintendo.

    • @Stein Codes What does Nintendo have to do with this? The Pokémon Company are the ones making these decisions, Nintendo is only a Publisher for Pokémon.

  • I LOVE that this game now has "Zelda" vibes. The Pokémon battle style is _so_ realistic TOO! 🤩 This game is going to be BADASS!

  • This is awesome it definitely increases the difficulty after the last few games have been way too easy

  • This is the Pokémon game I always imagined on a console hope it’s awesome 🤩 looks good so far

  • If this game is as good as it looks and sounds then I really hope it opens the door to future Pokemon games looking like this. (Also I know it won’t ever happen but I wish we could get a Pokemon Crystal remake using these graphics and game mechanics)

  • The whole mechanic where your character actually matters in the world with the ability to take damage, dodge, roll and throw things manually is the most innovative thing pokemon has ever done with the franchise. I’ve always wanted something like this and it’s finally happening

    • @Spiffo and you need to touch grass

    • You kids seriously need higher standards.

    • This game looks like garbage. What happened to Pokemon?

    • If you’re using pc, you can skip ID-tv ads in less than a second by clicking on the video, then clicking ⬅️ and then clicking ➡️. Note: This does not work on mobile

    • Why are you guys arguing with a dude name toadgamer with toad as their pfp talking about mario

  • First look seems interesting. Basing it off this reveal alone I certainly will be buying the gane

  • Overall, it looks alright. I'm not necessarily sold right away, but it's a decent step in a new direction for the franchise. I wonder how game mechanics differ from the mainline series. A few things to note: - Mission variety being main progression mechanic, it is important that they design it well. - HMs were also a big part of progression mechanic for the mainlines, seems like that may not be the case here. - Yet to see how abilities and nature would factor in, if it even does at all. - Are there any major PVP features?

  • This is the most promising pokemn game ever... Before we were all hoping for an rpg game like pokemon game and now here it is

  • THEY FINALLY ADDED BATTLE ANIMATIONS!!! Let's goooo!

  • I was very apprehensive at first about the styles when they were first leaked...but after seeing it explained and the fact that you can alternate them is just simply fantastic!

    • If you’re using pc, you can skip ID-tv ads in less than a second by clicking on the video, then clicking ⬅️ and then clicking ➡️. Note: This does not work on mobile

    • @Ron Pierce It sounds good on paper... till you factor in how Debuffs/Buffs/Ailments work and how there is little penalty for switching in/out of the stances themselves. Also moves which boost speed and offense like Quiver Dance are terrifying. Toxic + Confuse then follow up with using a Strong move to delay your turn while the opponent basically dies of poison while your opponent sometimes chooses to look around and do nothing on their turn.

    • @Ron Pierce no it isn't. it really isn't that deep

    • @Cephery oh wait. I just realized we were talking about the fighting styles, not the game itself XD. The game was leaked but the styles weren’t. So your right. My bad!

    • @A LaLa Ri gift bag no it was in a trailer super early people just forgot they were putting it in the game

  • Im seeing alot of stuff i hoped for . im sad some mechanics were removed but im excited to see this new generation of Pokemon

  • I'm not into Pokemon games but this one makes me excited

  • I'm going to be interested to see how they explain "trade evolutions" if this is before most people have an association with Pokemon. Are they going to get rid of trade evolutions and give us a different method (something I hope they do.) or are they just going to gloss over the fact that trade evolutions make no sense in this game. Because how the hell does an Electivire exist if the pokemon aren't being traded due to the lore of the game having very few people own pokemon? I sure hope this is explained some how in the game

  • From someone one who grew up off of Diamond and Pearl the nostalgia I get from this is unmatched 😭❤️‍🔥✨

  • It'd be really cool if Legends kinda became a spin-off series of its own like Mystery Dungeon, set in different time periods in different regions. Like a 'Legends: Mew' or 'Legends: Victini' that maybe goes more into the history of these mythical pokemon, like I'm hoping Arceus does.

    • @Buddy B Or if you're on PC and don't care about ads, you can just use an ad blocker like a civilized person. Is this some bot copy-pasta? Because this is irrelevant to the thread

    • If you’re using pc, you can skip ID-tv ads in less than a second by clicking on the video, then clicking ⬅️ and then clicking ➡️. Note: This does not work on mobile

    • @InnerAgent Nothing more mythical than a pokemon no one has seen before

    • @G. Wilson Maybe that makes sense but I’m pretty sure the point of it is that it’s a mythical as the cover Pokémon instead of a legendary

    • @Kawaii Neko but it’s confirmed that PLA is main series

  • absolutely amazing. literally buying a nintendo switch and the game just for this.

  • This looks extremely interesting, seems like a nice twist to a Pokemon game. And a lot of things I've personally been wanting to see in a Pokemon game for a long time. Can't wait to sit down and play it with my son

  • Looks like a pleasant playing experience so far.

  • Finally, a true Pokemon sequel. It's a huge step in a right direction. For future improvements, I think they should upgrade the graphical fidelity by a lot (texture quality, 3D model, lighting, terrain variety, and environment design), and world design with much deeper ecosystem (like in Monster Hunter series where the ecosystem looks and feels alive).

    • @Tom Yes it is. I didn't mean as the sequel of the story, but more like the next evolution of pokemon series, some kind of pokemon version 2.0.

    • ? Isnt it a prequel?

  • At 12:36 you can see that Kleavor uses Stealth Rocks but it did damage to Psyduck, so some moves will be different from the normal ones

    • Spoilersp: 99% of all the available moves in the franchise were cut and even more were reworked

    • If you’re using pc, you can skip ID-tv ads in less than a second by clicking on the video, then clicking ⬅️ and then clicking ➡️. Note: This does not work on mobile

    • @Karyn Brunton Oh I didn't notice that. I think you are right.

    • A huge ass plot twist would be an Ability that does that since abilities haven't been confirmed - nor denied - to exist.

    • @SkullerClawer Bandicoot noticed that double hit didnt go off so is it a mix of double hit and stealth rock.... cause if so this turned into a day one buy for me

  • This is going to be EXCITING! 10 more days to wait~

  • Shinx didn't turn like a swivel chair 👌 There seems to be actual strategy rather than mash A for your strongest attack 👌 Pokemon actually rush forward to attack rather than standing in place 👌 Wyrdeer 👌

  • pretty excited for this!!! I know you're supposed to be a researcher but it would be really cool if they sprinkled in some trainer battles. or they give us more experienced players some really deep side quests with puzzles that enrich the gameplay, but allow newer players to skip if they just want to get through the story.

  • I think that even if they do not nail it with this game, it will lead the way for the future of the pokemon games to become greater in the future.

  • I haven’t been this hyped for a game in a while. This actually looks 🔥🔥

    • If you’re using pc, you can skip ID-tv ads in less than a second by clicking on the video, then clicking ⬅️ and then clicking ➡️. Note: This does not work on mobile

    • @SkullerClawer Bandicoot well no i'm not gonna do that

    • @loic Valla Its not stupid if they want to keep it a surprise so WE can find out those things, how about stop acting like u played the game and acting like the PC fanboy logic of graphics means stinkin crap

    • @Yusei255 if they have more content for this game it's pretty stupid to not show this in trailer And even if the game have content and/or a good story that doesn't change the fact that this look ugly

    • @loic Valla you say this and that about PLA, yet we haven't seen everything about the game. so unless you have actually got early access to the Game, you're talking nothing but shit.

  • I've been wondering for a while if the Pokémon can ESCAPE the Pokeball that u throw at them. Cuz it kinda seems like its a 100% chance for them to stay in the ball...

  • It's is probably the most hyped I've ever been in 20 years of playing Pokemon.

  • I've been wanting a pokemon game like this for so many years I must have this game

  • That Noble battle looked insane😳💀🔥 11:08

  • I feel like this could be awesome, just hope that the world doesn’t feel to empty + I hope there are more side quests and just goals other than catching pokemon, since catching pokemon for the sake of catching more pokemon gets stale really fast, since there are no other trainers with pokemon, there isn’t anyone to battle, meaning pokemon need more purpose other than battling other pokemon. When you catch a pokemon it should provide you cool and unique abilities that you can use for more than just battling, for example certain pokemon being able to sense special ores or materials a human just can’t find, or pokemon being able to sense other pokemon in danger nearby or pokemon like bidoof harvesting wood faster. Some pokemon being able to find secret passages like caves in mountains barricaded by different kinds of materials, like wood which would need a fire pokemon to burn the passage open or rock which would need a pokemon that can cause big explosions or just earthquakes in general. Id love to see camps with lets say people that have trapped pokemon for some reason idk and you having the ability to secretly release them, if caught you just get kicked out. Also would be cool if pokemon reacted to different weather conditions or for example at night you find nocturnal pokemon and at day regular or when its a full moon pokemon maybe would act strangely or be sleepwalking leading you to cool new adventures. Also would be cool if you could find mystical pokemon camps, where certain type pokemon gather or just pokemon out in the wild battling each other

    • I feel like it is trash and cringe.

    • If you’re using pc, you can skip ID-tv ads in less than a second by clicking on the video, then clicking ⬅️ and then clicking ➡️. Note: This does not work on mobile.

    • @Gutta forget the kids lol.😂

    • @erikvondarmoor *looks at Monster Hunter Rise* Yeah the switch can handle it.

    • @Reblaze444 There's like 6 towns

  • I've been a pokemon fan since the 90s and I've never wanted a pokemon game more in my life. I'm super excited. Can't wait!

  • the only criticism I have as of now is the battle camera, it’s a little too stagnant but besides that I’m pretty excited to see how this turns out!

    • No criticism about how horrible the game looks?

    • @Spiffo Let someone enjoy a game without criticizing them, what you did there was low standards.

    • Really? thats the ONLY criticism you have? get better standards.

  • Love the idea and hoping they can squeeze all the performance possible out of the Switch. I wish this was a more saturated and less muted game though.

  • I would really like it if for future Pokémon games we are able to see how many Pokémon a trainer has before we battle. That way we can choose our own difficulty. I thought choosing our own difficulty was something they wanted to promote. Taking away things like the ability to turn off exp share is limiting players choice and not letting them play how they want to play. I will not play or purchase another Pokémon game until these options are present. Please listen to older and more traditional players like me. Thank you.

  • Yes. This is Pokemon pushing out and exploring concepts and I'm here for it! Fainting AND losing items? Actually, punishing players? Amazing.

    • @Austin Roberts unite was just a regular moba haha

    • @Gustavo honestly money isn't that jard to earn so it never felt like a punishment I always had a tone of good items by endgame

    • @Gustavo Bahahaha... Not really that much money.

    • @The Tarenator I see. I can't really praise them for something so trivial, though. I'm just waiting for the game to come out to actually see what they've done.

  • I can’t wait to play legends arceus

  • If this is implemented well. I'll come back to Pokemon after 7+ years and even buy a switch!

    • @Emptyman same, I just can't justify paying $500 for something that only plays games... I already have a laptop. But if this game reaches my expectations that might just convince me

    • im still thinking of buying a switch

  • This is such a neat concept and I’m in love with the gameplay mechanics… I just wish it didn’t look like it was made in 2010 unity :/

    • @Chance It looks too flat I think is what he means.

    • Should it be more styled or more photoreal? Is it frame rate or resolution that's getting you down? Are the textures not varied enough?

  • Anyone else getting a couple Harvest Moon vibes when it comes to villages? This game is looking promising!!!

  • I have to admit, I'm certainly impressed with the new direction of these freshly made pokemon titles; it has most definitely been a step upward from past iterations and that makes me so excited. Infact, I can certainly say with confidence that this is the vision I was dreaming for when I was a kid. All they need now is some voice acting and ill be even more happy.

    • They could do what SMT does and just do main cutscenses. That would be nice to hear. 5 was the first time it was offered in English and was great. Think it depends on the company. Atlus is know for their great Voice cast.

    • @Momo just refreshed myself on bug type weaknesses, poison is not super effective but is normal damage

    • @Momo the psychic poison and bug could work, but the miracle eye idea wont they would have to make in its own personal ability, since miracle eye requires tou to use a turn to bypass the immunities

    • @Kitsukage9 what if the first stage psychic starter had miracle eye, bypassing the immunity

    • What if there was Psychic, Poison, Bug. That would be a cool trio to see

  • I can say this game does look quite interesting im glad i preordered. cant wait for next friday I love open world games.

    • Has less Pokemon than the gameboy color games.

  • The fact that u have to explore and even get the raw materials for pokeballs and potions and herbs is honestly just amazing... Hopes are high for this game.

  • They just gave me a reason to save up for a Switch. This might be my favorite game. The concept is really good.

  • This is everything I’ve ever wanted out of a Pokémon game.

  • honestly even if this game isn’t perfect by a long shot we should all appreciate that they’re taking a lot of risks and trying new things in this one, particularly for the open world style we’ve all been wanting

    • @Scrotum Scratcher it actually is the biggest.

    • @Marc Wolfe no one saying they got a free pass on criticism it's just that some of y'all can't be pleased

    • @StuPid And it had a longer development time

    • @Xeonitas it will be more like thw style of the monster hunter series, which is still super cool :)

    • Agreed it looks like alot of work went into it

  • I want some more multiplayer options on this game! It looks amazing.

  • I actually LOVE this!!!

  • 🤩This game looks so fun! I might get a N Switch just to play this game!

  • Looks like a monster hunting type of game more than a pokemon amazing work

  • I was skeptical at first but this looks amazing. I hope we have more towns to visit.

    • @Rachad Lendar Sheep is such an overused term, you don't gain any cool points for trying to say smart words.

    • Lolllllll

    • @Rachad Lendar sure bro, i’m a sheep because i don’t just make shit up to shit on game freak at every opportunity i get. i literally just said that i am still skeptical about this game. just went and watched the sun and moon trailers, didn’t see the entire region shown in the gameplay. stop making shit up to get mad at game freak, there’s plenty of legitimate reasons to be upset at the degrading quality of pokémon games, but the fact that they didn’t show the entire map isn’t one of them. they’re keeping stuff secret so it’s still a surprise.

    • @skrublordaugust lmao did you not see sun and moon trailers? You must be a sheep

  • Super looking forward to this!

  • The game that truly transforms the franchise

  • After playing through brilliant diamond, I totally understand why they felt so safe working on something as expiramental as this. They're the polar opposites, bdsp feels like less of a remake than even HGSS, which is my favorite pokemon game regardless, but the issue is that some of the glaring issues with the game they didn't change at all, so it's basically just a switch port with remastered graphics and a couple fancy aesthetic mechanics.

  • Looks good! 😀 Please make a game about the medical corps! 🥰

  • I’m glad they seem so excited to share this game with people. I definitely think reception is gonna be mixed but regardless it speaks to a better future for the franchise and I’m all for them trying new things

    • @The Shipper As if they don’t already have the money to give you what you’re asking I agree.

    • @Christofu 14 they also haven't showed us all that much of the actual routes or play areas, only a few seconds of catching this or battling that. They only showed the open areas, not ones like Eterna Forest that should have lots of stuff. On top of that, it seems to me like they've only showed us the earlier areas, minus the Alpha and Noble battles, which would by design have fewer and lower leveled Pokemon. OTOH, of course it's going to be empty. This is set a good couple centuries before the modern games, so most of the cities and towns probably haven't been established yet. Even Jubilife City, which is supposed to be the biggest in the region, is just a small village. So of course there's not going to be a ton of random NPCs laying around in the open. In this era, Pokemon are not nearly as well known, so random people won't just be wandering around outside the protected Pokemon free areas. But also I wasn't really talking about the people who go "huh this isn't as good as it could be but the whole game may still be alright". I meant the people who go "ew this one component sucks so the whole game is going to suck and you can't change my mind"

    • @Rachad Lendar if you're just hating it because "but my favorite isn't in it" then it sounds like you're the one doing more herd following than me.

    • Yeah, I'm glad they got excited they invented the wheel in a world of cars, when they have the resources to create a hovercraft

    • @Cairrean sheep

  • What about making the fight a little bit more interactive, and not the casual poke fight that u see in every game, if the player could fight as the pokemon, i think it will be a great experience for them.

  • This game looks awesome! :D

  • This looks really really good and I can’t wait for it, but no alas froakie :((

  • Ok, this is looking more and more like monster hunter rise by the minute, and I am for it. Also, the fact that they did not show any of the starter evolutions is making me dangerously hopeful for Hisuian starter evolutions.
