I'm so glad Billy is still learning to control his powers, I think when you see a hero learn and grow throughout the movie that's the moment you connect with that hero as a person. Also I hope the entire team still acts like children and teenagers even after transforming like in the first movie.

@Kam Lau Favorite DC movies? I'd say Man of Steel, The Suicide Squad and the best of all for me has to be The Dark Knight.
Unlike marvels current theory of women just get all their powers straight up and have no issues just everyone else
I really do hope that this Shazam is kept in the new plans of James Gunn, because from all the superhero movies DC made in the last years, this adaptation not only feels accurate to the character, but it really has place to grow, in difference with the other ones that just kinda ends there.
Of course it will....it's got that marvel fun vibe and the first one made a profit...they also didn't show supermans face in the credits like the new black adam did.

Honestly im really impressed by Zachery, when i first heard his casting I was unsure. He nailed the first movie and this trailer, what it means to be a kid in an adult body.
But the kid look more serious than him 😂
I'd have to agree with Parvez Khan's comment here. That was a huge issue for me in the first movie. As a kid in the first movie Billy was very serious and somber (understandable since he was an orphan looking for his mom). Then he would transform into Shazam and act all stupid and childish...huge disconnect. The two beings had no common threads even though they were the same person. That was simply the result of stupid writing and the fact that they wanted to inject humor like Marvel had started doing. This second movie looks jam packed with overused CGI and it looks pretty crappy honestly. The first movie had horrible CGI monsters, they looked like something out of the 80's quality wise.

I've always thought Zachary was the perfect casting choice for Shazam. He's always got this quirky attitude with some of his previous movies, with the most being on his Night at The Museum movies. I've never had any doubt about his character being Shazam,and I'm not disappointed, and still isn't.
@Gravitational Music it's easy to overlook a kid's acting than an adult's acting, simply because society has always told us time and time again that "only adults have the ability to act and be famous." Ofc this isn't true at all, and especially so with Stranger Things, this movie isn't entirely different. Asher's acting doesn't look like the way it should be because his age pretty much parallels his character, while Levi's character don't. If you think of them not as actors but characters of the same person with a different body, that's where you see the similarities.

This movie was so fun, 7/10 for me. Very enjoyable and I liked the comedy. Not as good as the first but still a fun movie and it had lots of action. I cried at a few parts. I love that ending, I won’t spoil who shows up for anyone who is reading this and haven’t seen the movie yet, but I loved it. And Rachel Zegler is so pretty, I loved her in the movie

I think these are goddawful. What works (kind of?) in a comic book just looks absolutely campy and stupid in live action. If this group walked into a public group it would be interpreted as pure clown activities. They look like absolute clowns.

Like, there’s a reason no one dresses this way. It works in comics because its drawn and in panels on a page. Different format.
This makes me actually wanna go back and watch the first one I was expecting maybe a black Adam tease but I feel that’s for the post credit scene and even still I’m super hype. Dc actually is making a promising live action superhero movie.

Interesting how both Shazam in his sequel AND Black Adam in his movie will seem to deal with themselves feeling unworthy of the power they have been given, with both of them going about using them very differently and huge difference in their definition of "justice". Really can't wait for their eventually crossover, with Billy to meet someone as serious as Black Adam, and Black Adam having to deal with someone as childish as Billy

I’m loving the constant theme of family here, I just hope not every fight scene includes the entire family. This is still a movie about SHAZAM! (Billy) Not the Shazam family, makes him feel less special although it’s nice he shares his powers.
Just imagine how powerful Shazam would be if he had more experience and better battle iq just imagine how powerful he will be if he knew how to use those powers properly🥶

to be honest. I am really excited for this movie. not only do we get to see more magic based threats. but we also get to see Billy and him going through being a superhero. but in the eyes of child. aka a normal person. that and I finally got to see Black Adam. so yeah, this is probably gonna real good!
Billy has seen all of fast and furious films and he knows family is important 😂😂
I love it. The family story is very unique. Sacrifice, acceptance and knowing ur weakness. A great movie. Usually I don't let my daughters to watch superhero movies due to violence but this one I let them. Lessons are good also. DC stories are very nice. Speechless me.
Finally. I have been waiting for this. Love to see more of Zach Levi on the Big Screen.
Best thing about Shazam and 'Billy' is Zachary Levi, he plays his role just like he was a 15-16yr old teen. Great casting.

One thing I liked here is that they added little details to the costumes of shazam and his brothers, without it being overcrowded and not looking that simple either, so excited for this movie.
I like how they finally made Freddie a brunette. Captain Marvel, Jr. was Elvis Presley's favorite superhero. Elvis modeled some of his Vegas outfits on Captain Marvel, Jr.'s costume; and incorperated the lightning bolt into his "TCB" logo.
Really hope the lightning bolt in the suit still glows, although removing that part is understandable considering how in the actual set it kept getting broken and needed to be fixed.
Perfect trailer! Those two ladies as the Villains, Shazam doing just Shazam things, and Eminem! Cannot wait for this!

ITS HERE. I am so stoked. David did a very good job 👏🏼. May I just say how much the childs have grown!?! Like, Ian is taller than Jack. Man, what a few years can do. 🥹 Asher, mad respect for the Goonies shirt. I also love how they changed they style of the kids. I will say, Asher looks more Billy with the T & jeans. & Jack perfectly pulls off Freddy’s new wardrobe 🤌🤌🤌. The actual Goddess of the art of acting are the “villains” & I literally can’t get over how much Faithe has grown 😭❤️. I cannot wait for the movie. Props to you for destroying a baseball stadium 🏟😂🤌.
