I laced up the boxing gloves in high school and after my first sparing match, I went back to school with a Black Eye and a swollen jaw. That was achieved with two punches. A straight left handed jab, followed by an over hand right. I took that combination in the first minute of the first round. I hand 2 minutes left to the round and two rounds left. I was able to finish the fight, but, I lost. That’s when I realized how much skill a real boxer had. I continued to box amateur, but, I knew I wasn’t as good as I’d need to be to contend. Boxers/Fighters have my utmost respect.
