  • 300dB is quite literally lethal and to generate such a level would require a rather large volcano

    • Tsar bomba is estimated to have been 224dB lol🤣 They are claiming that horn is louder than a nuclear bomb.🤯

    • Some say grandpas farts are on par.

    • Like Krakatoa or Tambora level volcanic explosions, which is what I thought might happen to that pot of beanie weenies😉

    • And decibel scale is logarithmic. So it’s not just a little bit better than stock. It’s like 2x louder at minimum.

    • 10dB raise is doubling the noise. 194dB is maximum by the physics. 300dB would literally heard around the planet.

  • Imagine rolling down the street yelling "Yo Dinosaur!" To an old lady walking her dog lol

    • Oh sheet hahahahahahahahhahahaha broooooooo hahhahahhahahahhahahahhahahgahahagaha

    • Imagine having a dog for 9 years and giving it away

    • @LoSeDplz animals sometimes work better with other people. It takes more strength to look for help

    • “You hungry girl?…FU” great movie if anyone knows. This reminds me of that scene.

    • @IDEA OVERLOAD half baked

  • Considering the Saturn V produced around 220 dB at launch, which is far more than enough to immediately kill you, I'm shocked y'all even stayed in the same building when you let those 300 dB puppies rip for the first time, I wish I had Juevos that big. I guess you really do put your life on the line daily working at the Sherf department.

    • Love those space launches... not just loud, but those ground rumbling machines and smoke machines make for quite the show!

    • Ummmm no the Saturn V was never measured. The Space Shuttle Atlantis however HAS been measured at 180dB @10-20hz. Don't know where you came up with that, but it's not true.

    • @BEP BEP weird fight to pick in the comment section of a youtube motorcylce channel man. But i didnt come up with anything, i read it online in an article. Funny thing about math and science is you can use it to clacluate and estimate things like that after the fact. Im assuming considering you're vast knowledge ur well aware the decibel scale or measuring equipment didnt even exist during Krakatoas eruption, yet Scientists somehow magically sorted out that conundrum huh?

    • loudest sound ever 'recorded' is thought to be 310dB, when Krakatoa blew up(1800 something)

    • What's the highest volume we CAN survive

  • Have used the little cookers for years with our snowmobiles. The newer, more modern rider-forward sleds are much harder to install these onto the header, but they work! We bought a bunch of frozen chimichangas and wrapped in tin foil, then went on a ride. Hot, cheesy manifold burritos are the bomb when on trail!

  • It's hard to tell them apart at that level, but for every 10 decibels you actually get 10X more sound pressure. so the single amazon horn was way more powerful than stock!

    • Normally a 3 db rule is used for sound, 3 db more is double the sound and 3 db loss is half.

    • When we had to test/inspect train horns they had to be 130db from the front and 110db from the rear of the loco. 117 is impressive.

    • @Chuck 3db is double the sound *energy* , 10db is approximately double the audible volume. Power does not directly equal volume.

    • Debbiebabe69 is correct. Perceived sound pressure level does not work the same as power or even voltage. 10dB is perceived as twice as loud.

    • @Brad Butcher they were measuring them incorrectly though. Its not suppose to be up against the mic

  • I agree number 5 is great. So when I get round to re-doing the exhausts on my chopper I'm getting 2 off these, that way I can have main course and a hot dessert.

  • Man, when Sean kicked Craig's drone, my wife asked why I was laughing so hard. Thanks Sean for brightening our days!

    • Right,I about fell out of my chair ! 🤣

    • Haha yeah that was fun

    • Agreed. Watching Sean test ride bikes has it's charm, but it's this kind of sophomoric idiocy that makes for quality content. I finally subscribed.

    • These videos keep me going always making me laugh thank you

    • Have you watched his bubble bike video yet (Amazon v-twin)? Startup was the funniest thing I've seen in a long while!

  • Two bearded dudes shearing a meal on the ground next to a motorcycle exhaust pipe, it's got to be the most romantic thing I seen all year, thank you guys for restoring the humanity level back because we where kinda losing it to-be honest.

    • *Sharing *Were

    • 😂 bro literally the funniest 🤣 comment I’ve read all year . Thanks for the laughs bro

  • I'm loving this mini series. I've long since had ideas about building a type of exhaust kettle / cooker but have never tried to make it, glad to see someone tried putting their idea into production.

  • Craig's concern of no pressure relief on the cooker is understandable lol

  • That cookie monster helm cover is something I would maybe try xD It could in theory provide more driver awareness, someone is definitely going to see that in their side mirror lol - and maybe even more so after it being weathered and decrepit quickly lmao.

    • I have the motoloot cover, but the alien one. I love it, and yes, people definitely notice you easier and take pictures. Visor function is reduced, but wind noise is also reduced, and during this winter, it's been acting as added insulation. It's also not so thick that you can't use a clip on headsets like Cardo or freedcon

  • Years ago I worked at Arnott Air Suspension, they made quality products in the USA at a good price and had US based phone support. It's been a long time since I was there so I get nothing from pimping them, but if you are looking for alternative to HD air suspension they are the place to go. The reason you might want to go up and down is if you are a short guy, I've known people that used air so they could dump the bike down at stop lights and not have to be on tip toes.

  • Mad props to Craig for opening the can with the bottle opener/screwdriver!😂

    • LOL, actually that is an old fashioned can opener.

    • @mcsupersport Used by a fool

    • Why am I a fool?

    • @mcsupersport Is not. The can opener has a sharpened hook. That was a bottle opener. Any good, sturdy knife will open a can.

    • @The Bearded Mechanic because u did not use the right tool for the job. Open the next bade, ffs.,

  • I keep thinking there can’t be anymore Amazon videos, but then somehow you do it and I am absolutely here for it 🤘🏻

  • Cool Video. You guys inspired me to buy old Japanese bikes and fix them up. Picked up a clean Intruder for 700$ and got it running last month. Needed a battery and the "carb problem" was simply a tight throttle. Love this bike and feels like the best 700$ I've ever spent.

  • You guys rock! Great that you dedicated the video to the young man who passed! God bless and Godspeed young man. Condolences to the family. Also cool paying it forward to people at the pumps.

  • Love your content man!! Wish I could hang out in the garage with you guys. I know it's all for show man but can't go wrong after a long day of work and watching your videos

  • Great video guys. This was so funny. Good editing. What the world needs during these troubling times. Great scripture for the times as well. God bless you guys and Merry Christmas from snowy NW Montana

  • The Moto Loot helmet cover does pretty much everything they say it does. I have a red one and people love it. Can’t really comment about the social media part, but I’ve had my picture taken a few times. There are downsides to it, like limited use of your visor and wind drag(starts to pull back around 45 or 50mph). One thing that I didn’t read anywhere was about safety. I never got cut off or had someone merge on me while wearing the cover. I guess everyone loves Elmo 😊

    • I've got one too, probably had 300 comments on it within 2-3 months, everyone loves it (everyone from grandparents to toddlers, everyone thinks its fun!). I've had several people borrow my helmet for photos and I too have noticed far more people seem to see you, its just so different that cognitively their brain goes from "I don't see a car, so there must be nothing" to "what was that!?!". I have the viking one with the horns, so it really jumps out in profile and you can see it way off at night and the silhouette makes it highly visible to other people even if I have a cars headlights behind me. Its also protected the finish on my helmet when I was practicing low speed figure 8's finding the max lean angle with my feet up over the handle bars in a parking lot (visor got a little scratched up, but where the cover is it didn't even leave a scratch). It does make it much warmer, so good for winter/fall and a bit hot for summer but I'm near the coast so its not that bad in summer (wouldn't wear it in Texas summer though). Mine stays on pretty well, I'm always doing about 70-73 mph even on twisty roads so at least for those speeds I haven't had it move around much unless you're lifting the visor up, but the wind drag certainly is real and you're neck will get a bit stronger with it, lol, feels about like 20 mph faster wind speeds for just your head, but its fun.

    • what about the air vents on the helmet does it block them? my helmet has the one in front and on top.

    • @RetroJohnny-420 it does block those, so if it's particularly hot it's extra hot, but great in the fall or winter

    • @Jake Garrett ah ok thanks for letting me know

    • Well, when a biker pulls up next to you with his head up Elmo's butt, how can you not smile?

  • The air shocks are more of a cool factor. You get a center stand normally and when you park you dump the air and it sits straight up and down and looks good. Really popular with the big wheel baggers and custom bikes,

  • You should definitely build that propane flame exhaust and sell it in your merch shop!

  • That idea with the cooker is great, I remember my parents doing something like that back in the day with their 4.6l V8 on holiday - they'd buy these cheap chevapcici in aluminum cases and heat them in the engine bay at the lake.

  • FYI. IF you want the flame thrower exhaust to work and your bike to run well, put two fuel injectors in the exhaust before the spark plugs. Then when you hit the switch, not only do your plugs arc, your injectors shoot in atomized fuel. Then the pressure from the exhaust pushes all that out the back like a mini flame thrower. If you want another fun trick, put a small bottle of castor oil on your bike and then feed a fuel injector with it. Put that fuel injector up near the manifold, as close as you can get. Once that manifold is hot, the castor oil will make a thick smoke that blows out the exhaust while you hold the button running the injector. INSTANT SMOKESCREEN! SPY BIKE!

  • You guys are hilarious I never miss a show and I always look forward to the next one keep up the good work!!

  • Shawn's concern for Craig's welfare in regard to dismissing the possibility of 3rd degree beanie weenie burns is heartwarming. :-)

  • You guys made the horn part way funnier than it needed to be 😂

  • Amazing to see You guys are testing so many things... Mayby I will be able to do something by myself since 2005 :) when I had my last bike. But hope so next few years will bring me back into any bike. Enjoying Your channel, and hope we will se in Poland at some point.

  • I personally LOVE the "Sesame Street" helmet covers. I'd consider wearing one sometimes if it didn't ruin the functionality of a modular helmet.

  • I nearly spilt my drink all over me laughing during the Cookie Monster helmet cover part 🤣

    • "Sesame Seed... Sesame Tree Character" 🤣🤣🤣

  • The muffpot, installed wrong and not meant to have liquids in it, still did awesome. I use it for hot pockets, burritos, sammies while snowmobiling. Nice to have something hot on the mountain in a blizzard.

  • I'm amazed the cooker didn't leak all over the bike

    • yeah me too it was pretty great

    • @Bikes and Beards hello on the video you put out about the turbo bike I commented the one where it says problems. You said that I was selected as a winner for the season giveaway? It sent me a phone number I tried calling it is this a scam or was that a scam? I love you videos you could please let me know

    • @PETE W definitely sounds like a scam

    • @PETE W It's a scam. No youtuber would ever actually do that.

  • A Saturn 5 liftoff is about 200 dB, when your next to it, good luck with that. At Northrup we had a concrete echo room with airdriven horns, hit 180 dB. As others have said, you need to be in the blast zone, becoming the red mist as the saying goes. I am skeptical of their product specifications.

  • Love the editing guys . Good stuff , definitely makes it a lot funnier 😂. I almost had to unsubscribe bc of throwing Cookie Monster on the floor so quickly lmfao . Keep it coming Bikes And Beards . Just kidding never will I unsubscribe .

  • FYI : Every 6dB is double the noise from before! So from 106 to 117....I think thats impressive.

  • So for the adjustable suspension i would say its a good idea if you carry passengers alot like I do. And the times where im not carrying someone it would be nice not to have to fiddle with the suspension manually.

  • To make a continuous flame thrower, you'd need a lawnmower carb leading to a venturi in the exhaust. Then you have a perfect mixture all the time, and you essentially get the same effect as the brush burner with 1 fuel source.

  • You guys have way too much fun making these videos. Lol. Had me rolling out of my chair. Sean you and Craig have an awesome weekend man. Love your videos!

  • In 1992, when the mandatory helmet law passed in California, I was a tad irritated. I usually wore a helmet anyway, but out of whimsical spite, I glued a long blonde wig on an old helmet and took a ride. I got lots of horn honking and smiley comments from bikers and cagers alike. I enjoyed it, so I decided to up the fun factor. I bought a life-sized plastic human skeleton (I had to use a catalog, but you can get them online now, if you want to give it a try). I sat the thing on the back seat of my bike, wired its feet to the back pegs, then got on and wired the arms around my waist. I took a ride. The amount of people laughing and pointing was astounding. Big fun all around, except to the police, who didn't seem to have much of a sense of humor about it.

  • Holy crap you two are hilarious. When the drone was thrown at the wall and then he said "the drone lasted for about 5 minutes" I literally spit out my Gatorade to the point I had to use Windex to clean my monitor. I subbed.

  • Your old videos in the big shop with the big crew was good, but The Beard & Craig funny hour has been a blast. Alway entertaining and funny af

  • Okay seeing them kick the drone had to be one of the most funniest thing I've seen on this show😂

  • The 20 db change you saw is quite a bit more than you would think, so in fact the ones around 120 db is over a hundred times more powerful than the ones at 100. I dont know what its called in english, but it increases more and more, so 100 db isnt twice as loud as 50 db, so if it was 300 db it would be thousands of times louder than a jet engine, so an unrealistic claim from the manufacturers side, but 120 is still a biiiig increase compared to 100 :) Love your videos, got really into motercycles lately and mainly from your videos :)

  • Lol the drone footage had me rolling. I owned one for a short period of time and had very similar results. Sean's karate kick was hilarious

    • It is to laugh (as Daffy Duck would say).. with previous comments on this vid explaining and decrying the influx of spam found in the comments section of popular channels...then have one of these cretins drop one immediately afterwards 🤮 We appreciate you Bikes and Beards, so we will continue to report the 💩 spammers

  • That exhaust cooker is a great idea, using what would be waste heat to cook your food

  • That muffler cooker is hilarious because I already cook hiking meals on my 50cc scooter. A couple of zip ties and a screwdriver to tune the carburetor a little hotter and I've got a hot meal after letting the bike idle for a half hour.

  • I worked for a towing company back in the 80s. On the highway, bored, I keyed the ignition off then turned it back on getting a moderate POP. I experimented and 10 seconds was ideal. It sounded like a .38 going off and there was a fair fireball out the exhaust. I'd do this going down the highway and timed key on for when I went under an overpass. That was spectacularly loud. I made the mistake of telling a couple bozos who also worked there about it. One of them experimented with longer and longer intervals and promptly blew the muffler and tailpipe off his truck.

  • We use those muff pots for years to keep burritos and different finger foods warm for lunch while snowmobiling. Those things are awesome! Oh, and the frame is supposed to clamp, not the whole pot. That's why it has the pressure clips. Awesome product.

  • Your flame thrower needs a small propane canister feeding gas for the plug to ignite inside the exhaust tract.

  • Love how you guys fail to please! Always find a way to not let the crowd down

  • Those exhaust cookers are a really common accessory for snowmobiles.

  • When we had to test/inspect train horns they had to be 130db from the front and 110db from the rear of the loco. 117 is impressive.

  • One thing on Amazon that’s actually not too bad for HD’s - the Sharkroad slip-ons - for less than $300, the sound isn’t bad at all - but I don’t expect them to last more than 3-5 years if I’m honest.

  • I'm with Sean! I see guys wearing those novelty helmet covers and I think to myself "What a wonderful wor.... no I think "they can't be all there in the head"

    • We're definitely not all there, but are having way more fun than you are hahaha

  • Flamethrowers we're a thing at cruise- ins back in the 70s and 80s the trick is to build a box with a spark plug in it in line with the exhaust. Then flood the engine out with a manual choke , let the unburned fuel build a little in the box and hit the spark plug switch and rev the throttle.

  • Love your videos guys. I'm afraid those reviews on Amazon might be for all the products that seller sells, not just for the one your looking at. They are liars. Keep up the great videos. Watching you guys makes we want to go ride my motorcycle

  • this is actually really old school (usually made of scraps) but they wouldn’t disable a whole cylinder for the effect

  • When he said "up next the cookie monster helmet" I couldn't tell if he was being serious or not 😂

  • I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. I love the propane flame thrower, especially at idle.

  • I'm surprised that cooker worked as well as it did, being that the Amazon listing stated that it was for a Snowmobile.

  • 124db is pretty loud. I have one, also from amazon but no longer available: the mip mip Road Runner. As a replacement from the low buzzer stock that barely reach 90db, i can tell you straight: i'm VERY satisfied of it. And it is still not broken since 2014.

  • Ive worked hard to get my bike tuned properly to get rid of most of the the back firing. Not sure why I'd want a product that creates more. The propane flames looked pretty cool though. : )

    • Backfires eats engines, i don't know why ppl like them

  • I bought air ride from Amazon for my '08 Street glide, after 1 season one of the shocks were done. I ended up replacing all the fittings and lines to a larger size and swapped in some corvette shocks, rides great. Even after all the upgrades I'm still under $400. As for why would someone even want to lower and raise it?? I'm 5'4 with a 28" inseam, without it I'm tiptoeing at every stop and backing an 800# bike into a spot is pretty much out of the question

  • There are a whole variety of exhaust meal heaters available, I've heard of truckers using them... put your food in container, mount on exhaust manifold, drive for a couple hours, open and eat!! Very neat!

  • I think your supposed to mount the plug to the exhaust instead of on the end so it can ignite in the pipe. Probably try round 2 it should work better

  • My favorite part was Craig with hand over the exhaust to see the spark plug then saying, "it's sparking, it should have fuel coming..." ha ha ha Great video.

  • This has quickly become my favorite ID-tv channel, y’all make me laugh from start to finish, hello from md keep it up fellas 🙏🏻

  • So much for a spark arrestor to be safe off road. Just use the "off road only" exhaust flame thrower!🤣🔥

    • It’s ok, just a canyon wildfire, what can go wrong?

  • the flamethrower kit is great IF its installed correctly and IF the conditions are right. i had a good side hustle years back making these for people. i took the pre-distributor coil signal and put it through a relay that went to the coils in the rear. welded a bung into the exhaust pipe about 12" or so before the actual opening. the relay was on a momentary switch. getting it to light needed the exhaust to be hot. youd hold the throttle/pedal to the floor and use the momentary switch to modulate the rpm. on the rpm drop, there would be flames

  • @ 7:47 I thought they sounded great! The tones all together were a true symphony! Much better than the original, but definitely not as loud as claimed. I believe you can only have horns of 150db or less, in the USA.

  • The decibels those horns produce is significantly better than the original. Remember that for every 3 dbl you add, it doubles the actual volume. That difference is substantial!

  • For the flame thrower kit, you need to actually drill the spark plug into the exhaust, and you need to bring the rpms up while holding the button then let off, I had the same kit on my s10 and I got 14-16 inch flames out the exhaust.

  • The exhaust flames you can use on a carb bike under deceleration.. I used to light the pipes on my Honda coming off the highway by flipping the ignition switch off holding the throttle open.. The fuel / air mix used to light in the pipes from the heat and it would throw flames from the exhaust until I closed the throttle..

  • Came for motorcycles, left hungry... Thanks Sean, now I need to go make weenies and beans.

  • This is my favorite series that you guys have done 🎉

  • I have no clue how you managed to keep driving after the lab reacting like that to you yelling Yo Dinasaur.... That was definetly your old dog... And I would have been stopping to say hi as soon as I saw that reaction!

  • Fun fact. From 170-190 dB and up it's no longer sound, but a shockwave. So if they don't sound like grenades going off then you haven't reached anywhere near 170-190 dB. Also, 1100 dB is enough to create a black hole from the sheer energy that's unleashed.

  • For the flames on the bike your supposed to drill a hole in your exhaust pipe and then weld a nut onto the hole that matches the threads on the spark plug screw in the spark plug and hit the switch while reving it a bit

  • Glad you guys did this, keeps the rest of us from getting took.

  • I planned on buying some m1 detailer but than saw the $40 price tag before tax and changed my mind….. dam sean that’s a lot of money

  • Air ride is great to lay out your bike, you can use a center stand so it sits straight up when parked.

  • Those bikes are sweet. I wish I had a garage so I could own a bike. Pretty sure one would find legs pretty quick trying to park it outside.

  • Not sure why I clicked on this. But your horn tests just saved me a few bucks. Thanks guys. Keep it up.

  • The reason why pairing 4 horns instead of 1 only increased from 110 to 130 is because decibel scale is not linear, it is logarithmic. For every mile you pass on your trip, for example, your distance traveled increases by a mile and total number is the addition of all the equally spaced miles traveled. But going from 60 to 80 dB and then going from 80 to 100 and then from 100 to 120 is not the same equal increment in the sound. It gets much much louder for every dB you increase. Exponentially louder. A normal conversation you have is 70 dB and a gunshot is 140 dB, just to give an example.

    • The loudest possible sound is just over 190db. 300db is not possible.

    • @A. R. I am not sure. I heard that the sonars of large ships get to over 200 dB. But yeah that is in water idk if that is also possible in air.

    • @Petrică Cristian Nicolae Former Navy avionics tech here (P-3 Orion in flight tech). I was always taught that 194dB is the loudest sound possible at sea level due to a maximum pressure deviation. Fluids are different, so in water 300dB may be possible.

    • That's the most convoluted explanation for a logarithmic scale I've ever seen.

    • @A. R. You can have a louder "sound" it'll be a shockwave.

  • Guys. Your content is amazing. Love it. They make me laugh and make my day again! Keep it up!

  • You guys make me laugh like an episode of "The Office"! Great stuff.

  • Will you guys try the 2 into 1 Sharkroad exhaust and tune it against a fat cat or equivalent? They sound pretty decent on video but would be curious to see how they perform.

  • Always enjoy your vlogs guys,Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours.

  • Just to let you know guys if you have to sources of sound whatever it might be. If you add them up to each other you don’t get the double of dB 6-10dB is about twice as loud for the human ear so 120dB is twice as loud as 110 so try to imagine what 300 might be then

  • Fix the horn. Under the seat there is a black connector on the battery cover. All pins are populated but one. Move the pink wire to the vacant location. This will make the OE horn work again.

  • Love how the box for the backfire flame kit has a first gen s10 blazer on it 🤣🤣

  • Combining eating loads of beans with a coil ignition system at the back of the trousers would be like Le Petomane

  • These Amazon review videos are gold brother keep ‘‘em going! Ride safe

  • Really want to see you guys try out an EnduroEbike and a CS20 Cyclone and get your opinions on them Enduro goes about 60, the Cyclone says it goes to 74mph with the 12000w motor. They both cost around the same.

  • Fun facts: the loudest sound ever recorded was the Krakatoa volcanic eruption in 1883, measured at 180dB, which was heard over 3000 miles away. 194dB is the loudest sustained sound physically possible (anything over that would be a shock wave (sonic boom)) and your head would literally explode when exposed to around 240dB.

  • OMG the cookie monster does look like the yup, yup, yup characters!! LMAO and I hate those freaking helmet covers also!! Sean kicking the drone was hilarious! You guys are great!

  • The flamethrower kit needs the sparkplug located inside the exhaust pipe several inches back from the tip. I built one for my truck back when I was in highschool with less than $20 in parts. Worked like a charm. Video on my channel. Also in modern times you can buy tiny high voltage spark generators for like $5 that will replace the coil and control box completely and will jump a spark across a 1/2" gap.

  • The wla looks so good! I'm glad y'all went with that paint job it looks amazing!!

  • I love their buddy buddy back and forth that the do. Craig should be in every video

  • the loudest sound ever recorded was 305 db and the pressure wave from that volcano eruption travelled round the world 3 times, spoiler alert the horns didn't reach the advertised amount, but I'm still kinda impressed by the figure

  • I can confirm that loud sounds cause hair loss. Rock N Roll took my hair 😁 Train horns are also not allowed to be this loud under new rulings in most places.
