  • I can only imagine an old beefy guy with a mustache and sports coat driving this car... per 80s action movies.

  • Dog doesn't know anything about engines. So annoying

    • Calling him a dog is pretty rude.

  • It's a tuner car, not a muscle car

  • hideous usa 80s styling lol

  • I came for Doug but stayed for the crotch cooler

  • Wow! they only had to change their oil every 7,500 miles... full synthetic only 6,000 miles now, regular 3,000 miles..... good ol days

  • Anyone see the el camino at 22:05

  • Regan passed a law that limited speedometers to 85 to try and keep kids from speeding they thought if you didn’t know how fast you were going they wouldn’t try so all spedos in cars back then went to 85 in every car and a funny fact when the filmed back to the future they had to build a custom Speedo face to go to 95 so you could see they were going 88 however in the actual movie car the speedo only went to 85 and you can see it in some shots

  • My dream car besides the 65 gto

  • a bbbbbbbbbbuick

  • ample head room

  • one rear ash tray and its on the burnable cloth seat

  • happiest vent I, have seen yet. still waiting for the current feeling hint hint General Motors

  • you look safe sitting inside this Grand National maybe this is why everything is kept GM modest were say

  • tail pipe makes trunk look larger

  • I don't have a problem with the 80-MPH speedometer. If you are doing 90, I can attest that you should be watching the road, brother....

  • You can tell Dougs a young buck. Because alot of 70s on back had body by Fisher on the door thresholds. Lol!

  • You do a good job. I was looking at purchasing a collector car from this era. Iroc or Grand National, Mercedes 560, etc.... What would you recommend?

  • Oh man, I remember those joy sticks on our olds

  • Smh...Doug looks so damn goofy reviewing 80's performance icons like the Grand National.

  • GTA 4 car

  • doug didn't do a lot of homework on this one. Speedo for instance...wasn't that a federal mandate to max at 85?

  • Dude.. You are a moron snd have no buisness reviewing cars.

  • Fisher body was the gm plant in Columbus OH. They made those parts and my dad worked there for 33 years. Eventually it was Fisher guide then a bunch of other names but originally a gm plant.

  • Graduated high school in 1987, lived in the Bronx, and this was my dream car! Ended up with my dad’s ‘77 Chevy Impala instead😂

  • Looks cool but what's it like to drive a car named after a horse race?

  • All buicks were the same in that era. Once again doug raved about the acceleration any yet rated it a low score. Classic dougy

  • I’m hustling rn for this car Houseboat on Sausalito / Waldo point This car to drive me to SF for work Sex with Rashida Jones when she recognizes my greatness Universe hear me out lol

  • I had a buddy that had one back then. It was a beast, and yes he smoked Vetts regularly. G.M definitely made the Buick guys lie about the numbers.

  • Please review an 87-93 Mustang 5.0L

  • Beautiful car but didn't realize factory orange peel was that big of a problem back then

  • Would it be good to invest in modern day logos, emblems, and manuals, and save them like 30 years and sell them then?

  • We in the office

  • great reviews! Do you have a review on a 1980 Chevy Montecarlo?

  • Back in the day,,,,these cars were quick. They were very easy to tune,,,and adding a set of sticky tires made them great drag racing machines.Bone stock my buddies ran 13.10 back in 1987 with a set of tires and maybe a cold air intake. Flying for that time period!

  • Closest I've ever come to owning or even driving a Grand National is the one I downloaded for GTA-5.

  • Best car ever

  • I used to race GN's on the service drive while cruisin gratiot back in the day. I had a monte ss with a zz3 crate engine dropped in, TCI 700r4 and AC baby. I used to edge out GN's everytime. I built my car to beat mustangs. These late 80s early 90s GT's pissed me off. My Monte was cousins with the Grand National. Beautiful car.

  • had an 86 monte ss i loved it still love it wish i still had it so so much

  • Definitely wanted one of these

  • brother in law bought one new, sister was pissed

  • Looks like a grandma/border hopper car.

  • This car was perfectly suited for Burt Reynolds. It reminds me of a time when men were men and women actually admitted that they liked their men to be masculine.

  • 2 for acceleration?! Come take a ride in mine Doug, you may reconsider. Thanks Kirban performance.

  • 22:01 look a G Body Fam reunion

  • ford buckles in that era looked exactly like that except they had this star looking symbol

  • I could have sworn Ive seen that log o on the floormats

  • regal/ grandnational its still all a shovel nose to me

  • Didn't these have a T-top option? Growing up, my neighbor had one of these and I loved going outside to listen to it drive by.

  • Lets not forget the Pontiac Trans Am Anniversary Ed. It had the same drive train.

  • Please. That is no 80s model GM G-body car. If it is where the hell is the thumb tacks holding the headliner up?

  • Wow that's a fun fact a Buick was faster the a Lamborghini.

  • I shouldn't like those wheels but I do.

  • GM owned fisher body. Hence the logo there.

  • Geez, that’s a gorgeous car!

  • Ah, 1980s GM...yep, I remember it well. All of my extended family members worked for them and I remember all the things like the seatbelt buckles saying GM on them. I remember everyone in the family only bought GM cars. Anyway, this car looks like it would’ve awesome to have during that era for sure

  • A vehicle FROM A MORE civilised TIME

  • 1980's and muscle cars should never be used in the same sentence. And.....this Buick is FUGLY! I wouldn't want to be seen in one.

  • the 85 mph speedometer was federally mandated for all us cars from the 70s until 88-89

  • Such a beautiful machine. I drove around in my 80 cutlass brougham in 93 being 17 years old only wishing I could have one of these.
