Jeongyeon. I have to comment that despite this year being most trying for most, if not all people, including me, you and your members have absolutely carried me through this long and difficult year. My introduction to TWICE occurred in 2019 and I had gradually began to learn about all of the members and the discography of TWICE. As I took the time to learn about each of the members of the, I always found myself gravitating towards you. Before I even knew all of the members’ names, I felt this spirit within you that constantly drew me to you. One of the first qualities that I noticed about you was your warm smile. I noticed how easily you smile even if you find yourself in situations that might make you feel like you might not want to. Seeing the optimism that you have always had immediately made me feel more hopeful for the outcome of my future and the future of the world we all live in. It didn’t stop there, though. During my time catching up to the history of TWICE, I have gotten the honor of seeing you perform on multiple different stages and in multiple different settings. I want to first comment on how stunning, stellar, and captivating your dancing is. Every time that I see you dance, I am reminded of what true passion and hard work is. Every movement that you make is perfect, and you leave every stage having put on a show even better than the last. Overall, you are an indescribably professional and proud performer both on and off the stage. However, perhaps your greatest charm lies within your voice. The first time that I ever heard you sing, I was completely taken aback, and even after getting acquainted to it, I am still surprised as if I am hearing it for the first time to this day. Your voice is encompassed of so much emotion, power, but delicacy and sweetness as well. It is so unique and it shines no matter what song you sing. Your voice is so versatile and you can effortlessly sing anything and everything you want. It’s no doubt that both your members and of course, ONCE, recognize your voice as one of the greatest, and you bring so much to TWICE and music overall. We are so lucky that you are spending your time making music and sharing with people your outstanding musicality. You have so much to offer and can do so much with your platform. You surprise us every single day with something new and exciting using the gift of music that you were born with; and you are changing so many peoples’ lives because of it. On top of your incredible performing ability, I have also fallen in love with your goofy and sincere personality. I have been fortunate enough to get to know each of you all personally, and I see a lot of myself in you. I love how eagerly you tease your members and always have a good time with them no matter where you are. I know that you are one of the reasons that they are always able to cheer up and have fun no matter what happens to them. You are so funny and always make TWICE and ONCE burst into laughter with your natural humor and wittiness. On the other hand, I love how open and honest that you are with your ONCE. I feel so close to you because of how much you have been willing to open up to ONCE and your members. I know it can’t always be easy sharing everything that you are feeling or have gone through, but you spoil us anyway by inviting us into your heart and being so genuine with us. There is so much respect that exists for you being as humble as you are in a world that tries to take that away from you. I am now part of a group of people that love more honestly than they thought they ever could, and it is all because of you. You have opened the hearts and minds of so many people and encouraged them to lean on the people they love when they need it most. As I said before, though this year has been taxing in more ways than one can count, I feel like I have learned a lot about making the most of what I have, and I owe a great deal of that to you. I am honored to have somebody so lovely as a role model. However, I am just one person, and I know that there are millions of people everywhere that feel just as I do. I know that your members love you and value you as a part of the group. On top of this, they cherish you as a best friend and a sister that was present and will be present for some of the most precious moments of their life. You make them laugh, cheer them up, and share their pain with them which is all that you can ask from another person. ONCE also have a lot to thank you for and praise you for. You are someone who has brought a group of different people together and teach them to love unconditionally every single day. We thank you every day for showing us so much spirit and hope. I know you have gone through a lot, both as an individual and with your group as well. I know you worked hard to get to where you are now, and I am so proud of you for persevering through all of your obstacles to fight another day. Jeongyeon, even though I haven’t been a ONCE from the very beginning, I can say that I am so proud of you for being the person that you are today. I know I owe my gratitude to your family and parents who raised you and no doubt helped paved the way for your innate success. They watch you with the most pride and praise and love you more than anybody else in this world. I know that they always have you in their hearts, and you have them in yours. ONCE and TWICE will always consider you and have you to thank for the positive impact that you have had on so many lives, on music, and on the world overall. I want to take this opportunity to say that I hope that this birthday shows you the same love and graciousness that you show us every day. I found myself three years ago, diving more into the world of Twice and striving to discover what motivated you to be so heartwarming. It’s been almost four years since that happened, and I can now say that I am a dedicated and loyal Once. You have this ability to charm the camera or audience just by displaying an emotion or feeling on your face. I always get so amazed beyond words watching you completely own and dominate every Twice performance through your connection to your music and your awareness of your expressions. You have such control over your movements while also exerting so much power and energy into each one. No matter what the choreography is, you always apply a soft sensuality and delicacy to each one. You radiate elegance and classiness as you dance across the stage, and it it simply enchanting watching you incorporate your style into each choreography that you share with the world. Perhaps what I find the most charming about you is your voice. Similar to your dancing, when you sing there is such a feeling of innocence and youthfulness. Listening to you sing is just absolute bliss; and when I heart the gentleness and emotion in every line that you sing, I feel like I’m on a cloud. I know that I am not the only person who is absolutely mesmerized by what your voice can do and I want to thank you on behalf of all of the Once’s for providing us such comfort with it. As a whole you are one of the greatest performers I’ve ever come to know. I should have known that you spirit was just as gentle and beautiful as your musicality. In my experience, it is not easy to come across people as pure and wholesome as you, but in just a short amount of time I discovered how kind and sweet of a human being you are. Just in the interactions with your members, I was astonished by how respectful and honestly friendly you were to them. At the same time, you are naturally funny without even trying and when you laugh, I can’t help but join in with you because it is so infectious. It is almost impossible not to calm down and think positively when I am spending time with you because you just generate such optimistic energy. Whatever ails me goes away, even if temporarily, and I can just exist happily when I am around you and laughing alongside you. You are so goofy and know just what to say to cheer people up. Your tendency to mend hearts automatically changes the emotions and moods of your members. I personally believe that as a result, your members have become just as heartfelt and devoted to the friends, family and fans that surround them. I can see that they are at their most relaxed and comfortable when they around you. You bring out in them motivation and support that I know they could not get anywhere else. Just seeing your effect on them daily blows me away. The power you hold in just the smallest gesture is extreme. It’s incredible that any Once can see how you’ve contributed to the growth of Twice and each member individually. They’ve grown up, over the past 7+ years to be some of the most loving, sympathetic, hard-working, and happy people because of you. It takes a special kind of person to be able to see the good and the potential of success in every person and every bad situation. Somehow, you are always able to bring out the best in your members and I know some of the most precious moments of their lives have been spent with you. That you always want the best for everyone is just beautiful; and you change the hearts of every person that you come in contact with for the better. Anyone who is lucky enough to come across you, even if just for a split second, is a better person because of it. Similarly, I want to thank you for being just the same with Once. As I’ve said, you were one of the reasons why I couldn’t stay away from Twice and why I wanted to get to know the group better. The way you treat us and talk to us is always more than we could ever ask for or even need. We have become one of the biggest families because you bring everyone from all across the world together. Nayeon. I have been a K-Pop fan for almost an entire decade and I surprisingly didn’t even know about Twice until three years ago. I didn’t know the group even existed despite being a fan of K-Pop, and despite the fact that Twice is a very well-known and recognized group globally. If my neighbor hadn’t shown me the music video for ‘Fancy’ one day, I might still not know about the group until this day. I didn’t support Twice right away because I knew nothing about the group, but all I did know is that I liked you from the moment I first saw the music video. Something about your smooth voice, other-worldly visuals, and captivating gaze had me mesmerized by you at the first glance. Since that was the first and only video I had seen of Twice at that time, you were the only aspect of the video that I could remember, but you stuck with me. Your presence lingered in my head and I couldn’t stop thinking about how awe-struck I was at the first sight of you. Some months later, I decided to return to the video, and after I realized how much I loved it, it’s been history ever since. Now, I am a dedicated Once, and have learned so much about the group and the music that I can’t believe I wasn’t a Once before. During the year that I took to know you, I realized that you stood out to me for a reason. Going through Twice’s discography, I have been able to understand why you caught my eye before anyone else all those years ago. I love all of the members, but your presence was unlike, and is unlike anything that I’ve ever seen before. I’ve never heard such a shimmering, stunning, and enticing voice like yours before. I have never seen such powerful, energetic, and expressionistic dancing before I saw you. I have never seen such dedication and appreciation to be on stage, dancing and singing with you beloved members before you. You are just so beautiful, I can’t help but watch you fly across the stage with such hard work and effort evident behind your performance. I have spent every moment since I first discovered you getting to know you and experience what you’ve done during your long time as idol. I know you have gone through so much, and words don’t even come close to identifying the fear and worry you might have sometimes felt during your darkest times. I wish I was a Once at that time to be able to help you through them, but I know you had your members and millions of other loving Once to help you through it. Just know I couldn’t be more proud to support someone who is so strong and hasn’t given up. During some of your hardest times, you haven’t lost the goofiness that I know your are notorious for, and that I know your members and Once love about you. While getting acquainted to your personality, I realize I have been laughing harder than I have in a long time. I’ve have loved becoming familiar with your spontaneous jokes and you teasing your members. I know they and Once love you so much because you always make us laugh and put a smile on our faces with your natural sense of humor that is so unique to you. I love everything about you and I resonate with you on more than one level. I am so blessed that you came into my life because I have loved every second since you’ve done so. I know that your members and Once are lucky to have somebody who is such a rare gem and is all-around talented at everything that she does. You are so loved More and More (pun intended) each passing second by everyone who knows you and I just want you to be aware of your self-worth, especially when you are feeling down. Just know how many people there are who will always love and support you no matter what happens. I am so happy that I became a Once, and even though I wasn’t there sooner, I have more love for you and the rest of Twice that I can even describe. Thank you so much for coming into my life, making me so happy, and inspiring me and so many people all around the world for the better. You are such a ray of sunshine and we are so blessed to have you in our lives!
