Tonga Is Covered In ashes After Massive Volcanic Eruption

Komentar

  • Hope they are all safe

    • @Spoiler Alert They're alright, except for the dead, injured, homeless, incomeless, ...

    • It’s better to know then to hope. Keep those ideas else where. We should live in a world where we help each other now.

    • They aight

    • @IDepressedl Dog burgers aren't bad with a bit of soy sauce and garlic.

    • @IDepressedl ?

  • My prayers go out to all the people in Tonga. I hope that all Nations can stand together and serve the needs of this nation.

    • @Sal Santiago dear bro it's not like that. When all the souls were CREATED. The creator looked at the souls. The best soul in every way was the prophet Muhammad's pbuh, and he was chosen to be the final messenger and prophet. Then The Majestic Creator again looked and found a group of people who were the next best. The Almighty Creator made them companions of the holy prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him. ...... It went on and on .. I'm one of the people Whom The August Creator chose to be a follower of the Noble prophet .. All thanks to The CREATOR for choosing this humble soul. Others who want to join the ranks are free to join.❗You are Welcome ❗...

    • @Twistd Spartan how do you know so much about a guy that doesnt communicate?

    • So you believe there are no god-fearing folks on those islands. Well, alrighty, then, it must be nice to be privy to God's mind.

    • I'm confused. God evidently decided that these people needed a volcano, and now needs us to tell him that they need help. Suppose it wasn't "the hand of god", why would he need us to tell him that even in that case the people need help? If you want to help, donate to relief organizations.

  • … The aerial footage is stunning, and surreal. Prayers for the people and the creatures of Tonga.

    • @Swamprose why?

    • @Some One Hummm, @some one- Please Pray for Tonga

  • My prayers go out to all the people in Tonga. I hope that all Nations can stand together and serve the needs of this nation.

    • Copied comment but still good message

    • @Some One they arent all ded i hope, but god is

  • I didn't know this was a recent event until now, so sorry to hear this. I'll be sending up prayers for these folks that all are physically okay, and they can get the help they need ASAP.

  • Hope they are all safe and well. My prayers.

    • @i Cared This is man made claim that you are listening to the wrong sources. In fact, it is certain that your source is wrong.

    • @dawn d All evidence points to volcanic. Get a grip, and/or quit lying.

    • @Nic Collins "They are not", beat me to it, well played.

    • @David Crandall oh ok

  • I hope everyone is safe and sound. My prayers are with the people of Tonga.

    • @Steven King fake sun?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    • @ZaWarudo Scrumpeeh And Lying Trolls.

    • I'm glad you're letting god know that hose people need help, they will certainly be taken care of. what if no one told god that thosey were in trouble, how could they get help?

    • @Axel Foley gold comment 🤣

  • I heard the scale of this eruption was between a VEI-5 and VEI-6. Just as powerful as the Mt Pinatubo eruption. Imagine if the majority of the ash didn’t go underwater

    • @Alya consistent with reports I have seen that Pinatubo was much larger.

    • Mt pinatubo is level 7 i think

    • Aaaaah what a revelation. What lies can you fabricate more?

  • I'm so worried for these people. I'm so glad for this report.

    • @dawn d Yah, I heard that it was a bomb too. No shortage of delusional paranoiacs, is there??

    • @The Chad Pad kinda like the people considering it was a bomb, when not sure they are familiar with volcanoes or bombs to begin with, then take it a step further and spread dangerous uncomfirmed rumors about it like they got it all fugured out

    • @Sayittomyface Ortapglassfaraway it’s not the not-believing, it’s the not-considering that causes problems. It just acts like someone knows better than eeeverybody else

  • Honestly my prayers go out to the family and those that have been impacted by it. May God bless you all from this🙏

  • Honestly my prayers go out to the family and those that have been impacted by it. May God bless you all from this🙏

    • @Jesus is LOVE•1 John 4:7-10 Judges 21:10-24 Numbers 31:7-18 Deuteronomy 20:10-14 (a two-fer)

    • @Jesus is LOVE•1 John 4:7-10 Yes there are passages that encourage rape, slavery, and other evils. OK, in honesty most of the passages are by implication, where rape is forbidden, the pssages are clear. Others are not so ambiguous, slavery in particular.

  • Prayers and ofas to all those out there dealing with this back home. 🇹🇴🕊

  • Im in new zealand and i just went to camp and i guy told me his family lives in tonga and he hasnt heard from them in 5 days i just hope they are alright and everyone else is alright my prayers go out to everyone that is suffering

    • @Kj Sikamore alright so a good place to stay would be kapiti wellington or Napier?

    • @Evolution let's hear it then...that'll be helpful of you

    • @Emir Latinović hit them with Pavlova

    • Could you give some advice on how to troll the people?

    • @Kj Sikamore I am not sure although I could give you advice on where to stay?

  • That's really sad... I hope that everyone is okay

  • Hope they are all safe. Thanks for the informative video.

  • Hope people are safe my prayers for all those who are suffering this natural devastating incident 🙏

  • damm half my friends in SLC are from Tonga. Amazing people! Hope everyone there is safe!

  • the before and after are unreal. My heart goes out to everyone affected.

  • Just insane! Hope everyone is ok

  • May god relief them from all the trauma they're going through and help them in time.

  • Prayers for this nation. Hopefully all nations will rush 2 give much needed help.

    • @dawn d where you hear that hope not facebook

    • he ard it w as a bo mb

    • @Jane Doe good for them

    • @Zed2205 NZ and Australia already shipped supplies there.

  • Это красиво вначале, но так разрушительно для людей! Желаю всем благополучия!

    • @dawn d it ain't a bomb. The explosion was roughly around 10 megaton, which is a large nuclear bomb. There is no radioactive fallout so it wasn't a nuke. Also there is no way that anyone has that amount of conventional explosives anywhere.

    • he ard it w as a bo mb

  • My prayers go out to all the people in Tonga. I hope that all Nations can stand together and serve the needs of this nation.

  • Awesome !!! I pray everyone survives and is well.

  • My prayers go out to everyone in Tonga and surrounding areas. Mother nature is so unpredictable.

    • he ard it w as a bo mb

    • Volcano's Literally Erupt. That's All That They Do. You go ahead and keep playing Let's Pretend.

  • That is massive.Look at the energy it produced!

  • Oh my word! Sending prayers and positive vibes to everyone in that region! ✨

  • I'm curious if the water has been warming prior to the eruption, any precursors? Much love to Tonga.

    • @Justme Volcanic eruptions are a natural form of explosion. The 'ripple effects' were a shock wave, and the boom was a sonic boom. These things occur when anything explodes. It's not a bomb exclusive thing. There were lots of billows of smoke, the volcano had been letting out small bursts for a while now. They didn't expect it to do anything big, though. Small bursts are normal for volcanoes and mostly harmless. Lava is hard to see at all from afar. Unless you're almost directly at the volcano, you will never see the lava spurting from it since it's very heavy and doesn't go far. What residents witnessed went like this. Volcano had been being a little active lately, not really anything to worry about (or so they thought.) One day they went outside and saw tons of ash in the sky. They then looked in awe and maybe fear, and a little bit later, a large BOOM sounded throughout the island. As the boom hit, the wind and water rippled, clearly showing this was more than just a boom, but a shockwave, as you watch the shockwave excite the waves and the leaves. This is all really standard for volcanoes. Remember, shockwaves aren't caused by bombs, they're caused by explosions. The eruption looked like a bomb because it behaved like one. Anything that explodes will look more or less the same as a bomb.

  • Can stop thinking about the externals when I watch this. Many blessings toward the survivors

    • he ard it w as a bo mb

  • My prayers 🙏❤️ hope everyone is safe

  • That video from the ground at the beginning and later isn’t from the big explosion, but an earlier, much smaller eruption

    • @dawn d a rod of god

    • he ard it w as a bo mb

    • he ard it w as a bo mb

    • If anyone was that close to the big eruption they probably would not have survived

  • Pray for these people to receive help in time

    • @Slimeball 4L It’s a cult. If you don’t see that, there is something wrong

    • @Nazomius ‘ how do u know? ur God's messenger?

    • he ard it w as a bo mb

  • Oh no one of my really good friend’s family lives there. It’s quite a large family too. I’m so sad for them 😞

  • So worried and my heart goes out to the people in Tonga

  • We heard the explosion in Alaska. In. Alaska. Our atmospheric sensors were able to measure the fluctuation in the air pressure. Absolutely nuts.

    • @Emir Latinović Absolutely beautiful non sequitur. You were so excited to start an argument that you skipped some steps.

    • Heard it in anchorage alaska

    • @Emir Latinović Amazing! Where in Andromeda are you from?

  • Well lucky for that guy that visited there last year and spent 8 months alone. Good call on going there a year ago Sad part...is that I found out about locals that lived there through his videos, and...well, I hope they're in a better place, or safe.

  • Hope they are all safe and well. My prayers.

  • Ash will go away but is a mess when wet and stops cars, been through it here.

  • I hope everyone is safe and sound. My prayers are with the people of Tonga.

  • It seems that the submarine cable he referred to is a cable fault on the Tonga Cable system going between Tonga and Fiji. 2-3 weeks for a cable repair is actually quite fast. I'm hoping for good weather and no more eruptions for the repair to be done quickly.

  • So how will this eruption affect weather patterns across the globe?

    • @No Great Reset My bad!

    • @Cat Poke you mean 0.5 degrees of cooling.

    • Thankfully, not much. Scientists are doing calculations and so far the worst estimate is 0.5% cooling. And that's just a possible estimate. It could be even less, if at all.

    • @Jacob Wells the heat it would add to the ocean would be very localized and insignificant.

    • @slooob23 What about heating the ocean, though? Remember El Nino

  • Praying for them all

  • トンガの皆様のご無事を心から お祈りいたします。

  • And to think Yellowstone is barely anything of this eruption is scary to think about

    • with yellowstone, cyclical eruptions might have ceased due to tectonic plate shift tho so, possible could not even need to erupt anymore. i live in wyo though so knock on wood lmao

    • That volcano has never been felt far off the Tonga anyway. Yellowstone? Get real.

    • @snake plissken Except the pacific Ring has smaller constant active eruptions. We won’t see another Krakatoa or Tambora for thousands of years. Hunga Tunga caused damage to the local island, but it’s overall impact isn’t expected to be severe. Vesuvius is of great concern not only because of the population nearby but because it’s long overdue for an eruption and Vesuvius has some of the most violent in European history. You would see a severe economic impact, reduction of air travel over the continent and drop in global temperature for the year

    • @TheDesertRat_95 You are right but they have different risks. In Tonga underwater magma chamber underneath a remote island interacted with sea and caused this massive explosion triggering a worldwide tsunami. Vesuvius eruption may only cause a local pyroplasctic flow. Depending upon which side of the mountain collapses, it may cause harm to Napoli or not. Honestly I am very anxious of Pacific volcanoes since they are very active and have higher yield. When Krakatoa erupted it caused years of famine because plumes hanged out in the atmospehere for a long time concealing sunlight thus negatively effecting crops. Yellowstone on the other hand is a Holywood myth, last eruption was 640k years ago, your home cooker has a higher risk than that, everyone must bet their money elsewhere.

    • @haha hhahha hahha Yellowstone is not going to occur for another ten thousand years. Vesuvius is the one we should be concerned about

  • Pray for Tonga !

  • Those poor people probably feel abandoned by the rest of the world while a volcano erupts in there backyard.

    • Please elaborate why YOU assume that THEY feel abandoned by us around the world. The world/countries may be messed currently but they will never be abandoned by good citizens of the world. I have been on the ground in such disasters during my career. It's truly amazing to see the end result on the ground from the good people around the world. Be it from cake sales, people on the street or outside supermarkets holding out buckets raising money or school children coming up with ideas to raise funds. Not to mention incredible voluntary trained organisations on the ground. I apologise for such a long winded reply but A, Tongans are such wonderful positive people I have had the pleasure to meet. B, for all the hatred and division we are witnessing it is events like this that unite us all and bring out the good in people. Just have faith in good people around the world. Time will tell... 👍

    • @Kenny M troll🤡🤡🤡

    • That's their own problem.

    • Hopefully they are more grownup than that.

    • @Pamela Bowers They would be wrong! They are cut off, not abandoned.

  • IT would be great if nobody perished....I hope they will all be OK.

    • @btwbrand Some as big as cars and trucks.

    • @Chris Not communication and no way to get to the island or off of it. Not even by boat.

    • 2 mexicans said lost or dead !

    • @Chris Updated to 3. :(

    • please come back to reality. This volcano threw cubic miles of rocks into the air. What goes up must come down.

  • Prayers to all our Bro & Sis in Tonga 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

  • Is Musk's Star-link in any phase of operation? Would it be of any help, in a situation like this? Hope we find out what the situation is soon!

    • Is it in a town called Washougal?

    • Where at in SW Washington State?

    • @El Gato Gordo Things seem to be working out for him just fine so far 😂

    • Quite a lad you put your hopes into....

    • It's being deployed and tested in north america first. It may be a very long time before remote regions of the pacific can use it

  • Someone somewhere please show the surface level of the eruption w out cutaways please

  • Sadly hundreds to thousands of people could be dead by now. One of the islands being only 30 miles away might have had people killed only by the initial shock wave of the blast.

  • God bless them. I can't imagine. 🙏😲

  • All those poor people, I hope they found refuge in time

    • he ard it w as a bo mb

  • Bog vam bio u pomoci.♥️

  • I used to run a cell service where we would take a truck out with a couple generators, a couple tdma racks, and a telescoping antenna. We worked festivals and events in the middle of nowhere and occasionally disaster sites. I'm thinking the equipment would need to be high up to push any signal. And really that power would be more important on the ground helping people with immediate problems. What do I do? It's not like it is two states away and I can send a crew to dig in. What can anybody do?

    • Satellite phones are working, but rare in Tonga. The country didn't get ham radio until it was brought by visitors in the late 1970s, and there are still few licensed hams or stations there. Government agencies and the general population keep thinking ham radio is obsolete tech, until something like this happens.

    • unfortunately when you are off the grid, you are off the grid

    • All we care about are the coconuts

    • 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

  • Помоги Господь людям планете Земля!!!

  • Awesome. Thanks.

  • I'm sure that's similar to what Mt. Vesuvius looked like as the cloud came down on the people of Pompeii. Prayers go out to everyone near Tonga.

    • Not so fun fact, this eruption is in the same class as Krakatoa's last eruption: Vei 6. However, Krakatoa had twenty times the explosive force. The strongest of the concurrent Tonga eruptions was equivalent to 10 megatons of TNT. Krakatoa exploded with 200 megatons of force, four times the strength of the Tsar Bomba.

  • What amazing power !! Truly fascinating Also.....Good luck to those affected

  • This eruption was violent Hope the people are at least ok 👌

  • Это красиво вначале, но так разрушительно для людей! Желаю всем благополучия!

  • Mind boggling videos.

  • 0:46 Crazy how you can see the water turn brown from all the ash and debris even from space

  • anyone know the VEI of this erruption? From the looks of it, its probably a 4 or 5. Aparently it erupted with a force of 10 Megatons of TNT, St. Helens was 24 Megatons

    • Crazy how a cable being damaged can disconnect everyone from the internet despite satellites, seems like underwater cables are what the internet really works through

    • @Ilect yes St. Helens did more because there was a wind pattern that made her ash fumes go around the world 7 times over. Plus someone compare the two and this one looks bigger on the map.

    • Best estimate I've seen so far is a likely mid to high 4.

    • @Yumi Jaymesme its probably weaker than st. Helens, i saw that early reports say it was the strongest since pinutubo in 1991 and theres been 1 VEI 5 since pinutubo implying this is probably VEI 5. However the sulfer dioxide released was only half of st helens

    • I think this one did more damage than St. Helens. My goodness this volcano basically destroyed itself. The uninhabited island the volcano sit on is gone.

  • Y'all see the lightning strike near the end of the video? I pray no one else falls victim to this event.

  • So.... is nobody even trying to actually get to the island to find out how people are??

    • No, but all send prayers!!Sorry for sarcasm, , prayers are good, positive, healing, but, we are supposed to be God's hands and feet here.. in real time

    • You cant until the ash is out of the air. The ash will solidify inside your vehicle if you get to close. This is survivable for them if they had time to prepare.

  • Imagine being a boat or ship that happened to be out to sea directly above where the eruption happened... yikes! Its possible this scenario actually happened. if so i wonder what they must have seen and thought in those last moments...

    • Luckily, although it's called an 'underwater' volcano, a large portion of it is actually above the water. It's really only the center of the volcano that's submerged, but you can't get in there via boat.

  • Stay safe Tonga 🙏🏼🙏🏼

  • The people you love are lucky to have you in their lives.

    • Hey how are you

  • Looks like a modern day Pompeii I hope humanity pulls together and helps these people

    • @Emir Latinović what?

    • Cheap global warming trolls in action I see.

  • *He won't do the right thing unless you do, so please PRAY for the people of Tonga. Fervently! It's the least you can do. Literally.*

  • To anyone reading this: you are loved, keep holding on ❤

  • How big is the land that’s gonna form yrs down the line

  • 0:59 what is that red dot to the right of the volcano? I ask because it shows up with the eruption 0.o

  • I've seen several videos from Tongans already, so if all their communications have been knocked out, how were they uploading to ID-tv?

  • 1:02 What's the big red spot east of the erupting volcano?

    • the demonic fallen angels let more evil ones out of the pit of hell didnt deceive me )

    • They put up a satellite image of Jupiter by mistake.

  • Looks to be some sort of purposeful explosion not a volcanic eruption

  • The purple lightning in the volcano ashcloud was very intense!

    • That was yours huh sasuke

  • Heart breaking - pray for tonga 💔😭

  • WAS THAT A LIGHTNING?!

  • You're telling me with all the technology we have, nobody can contact these people? That's insane, never heard anything so bogus in my life. These people need help, the longer authorities wait, the more people die.

    • There are satellite phones being distributed, but with the rough waters reaching the outer islands is very difficult. If they can get to the islands, thy can get them connected, but the cables connecting internet and phone service were damaged by the eruption and tsunami.

  • Beautifully terrifying.

  • I would hope they are doing some supply airdrops to these people. I can only imagine how frustrating it would be to see these planes flying over to take pictures and survey the damage and then leaving without dropping a few supplies.

  • Also in fiji....we heard the volcano erupt....and we also had tsunami from tonga

  • Such beautiful devastation

  • Looks like a Kaiju awakening after being buried for centuries!

  • Is the volcano erupting right now, continuously?

    • @Red Barchetta it’s underwater now

    • Nah this is just footage of when it happened. Who knows if it will erupt again.

    • Not at the moment. Time well tell if it's done or not.

  • Isnt the video from the beginning from the volcanic eruption that was before the big one?

  • Environmentalists screaming for protecting nature. Meanwhile nature: lets give another difficulty level game for the entire humanity!!!!!!!!

    • i swear we have the pandemic tsunami and then a freaking volcano and on that weather map it looked like a tropical storm just wow

  • How can one successfully volunteer to help first-hand in situations like this?

    • @Thea Bristlebroom Donate Money to a church on the island is your best bet

    • You can't. It is so remote, only military first responders for some time.

  • Did they have any warning? The people on the island?

  • Praying for all in that area.

  • Subhan Allah 🥺🥺

  • Reminds me of atomic bombs. Yikes.

    • @Justme I always believe the opposite of what our govts and media say.

    • Nuked

    • @Jc Stang Exactly! Something is definitely not right about their narrative. That footage looks like a bomb.

    • @Justme I know right? I mean, don't volcanos usually give warnings by smoldering or something?

  • the fact that there are so little news about this at my country's media shows that our priorities are at the wrong things...

  • sending prayers To Tonga.

    • he ard it w as a bo mb

  • Hope these people are ok

  • The beauty of the volcano eruption is terrifying

  • I'm glad this is over and in the absence of reports I can only pray damage to properly was low and that there were no loss of life... That said I have a technical question : Why do eruptions create lightnings ?

    • @SME Pictures Makes sense 🙂

    • Difference in static charge between the air, ground, and the material and ash shot into the air, is my best guess.
